You could be sent to secondary inspection. They could issue a paper I-94. Nothing to worry about.
Thank you. That helps a lot.:)

Getting a bit paranoid about my trip to Mexico (business visit/ conference) with the Advance Parole/ EAD combo card. 2 days back I got the Mexican Visa from the Mexican consulate (I have an Indian passport) . My company will be driving us through the border to the factory in Mexico for a 4 day conference.
Just wanted to know what I will have to expect during re-entry at the CBP crossing. Has anybody here re-entered the US by land with the AP? If yes, could you please describe the re-entry procedure?

Any suggestions on how to put our work authorization/ Pending green status on the resume?

Got the notification on the USCIS case tracker app about the EAD being produced.
NOA date : 22nd October
Whoever is waiting for their card's approval, I'm hoping you all get it asap. It's coming soon.

Hey guys! Just a simple question. What are you guys doing to find a job now that the work permit is so close? I was an accountant back in Costa Rica and I hated it so much.
I haven't started applying yet since the moment I get calls for engineering openings, they usually ask about my status, the need for sponsorship/ green card etc. Figured I would wait till I get the 'card is being processed' notification. But yeah, the usual job search for me, linkedin and the referrals mostly work here in the US, at least it worked the the last time I searched for jobs

Their LFO's didnt change either which IS weird seeing that if the LFO HAD changed, this notification may have made sense.
Call them if you're worried that you missed your interview letter but I highly doubt it.
I might try calling them. Did they get any updates after the cancellation notice?

This happened to a few other ppl this week in other FB groups I belong to. In all cases they had just moved and changed their address with USCIS. I can only conclude it has something to do with that.
I guess it must be that although the office is the same.
Its just weird. Never had any change of status, other than fingerprint review completed.

Did you get an update saying that it was scheduled before you got an update that it was cancelled?
Nope... Nothing. The last update was for the fingerprint review for the biometirc thingy. I got a mail from dhs saying there was no change in the application status and I think this interview cancellation happened on the same day

Do you know if your Local Field Office change?
Input your old zip code and then your new zip code here and see if you are at a new LFO:
https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices
Its the same office for both the zip codes

Did you change your address?
We did, just within the city. We got a mailbox for all of our mailing address and we got the NOA for change of address for me and the sponsor (my wife).

Google USCIS processing times and click on the government website, there are drop downs for what application and then which field office
cool. Thank you

Is there a way to check the the date of AOS applications that were processed last by different field offices? Maybe I'm just bad at navigating this website, but the only luck that I've got are reviews for AOS interviews sorted by field offices.

4 to 6 months for C9. 7 to 9 for all other categories.
Sheesh . That's bad. Thanks for the info

Are any of you applying for jobs while waiting? Finding a job after getting the notice for EAD will take at least 2 months with all the job searching and interviews.
Btw is this EAD processing time of 4-5 months for the c(9) category ones or is it the same for other categories (like F1 students)? Back in 2015, I got mine in less than 70 days. -
Does the government shutdown affect USCIS?
-
-
This wait for the EAD is just killing me right now. I just don't know how to stop worrying about it
-
So this is kind of not related to the AOS application that much, but I suggest you all to check your i-94 travel history from the CBP.gov website and check if it matches your arrival/departure data. So turns out, for me, my I-94 had wrong entries after the date on which I entered the US, showing multiple arrival and departure. I got freaked out and went straight to the CBP office in my city. Seems like it was system error where the system was taking in data of another person who has the same First name and date of birth as mine. Crazy. The CBP officer confirmed that it was indeed a system error and that they could not delete it, but they did give me a letter stating this issue.
Its scary to think that had USCIS seen my travel history, it would most probably lead to a denial. I need to go to my USCIS center asap with this letter.
Errors in i-94 are not common, but Ive read a few of them here at Visajoruney, in fact most of them I've read are cases where the person forgot to cancel their return tickets and the I-94 picked that up from the Airlines (flight manifest), and showed up as them leaving the country.

How long would it take for USCIS to schedule an interview after getting the 'ready for scheduling an interview' notice?
