  3. We had our AOS interview on May 20th,,, it's approved!!!Yeyyy!!!

The interviewer was really cool to us. As soon as we sat on the chair, she said,

it looks like you already have complete documents. She asked for my passport

and ID, removed the I-94s in my passport,,, also asked for pictures of us and family.

Asked my husband of my parents name and she asked me about my job in the

philippines. She took also the 2007 W2 form. Everything went fine she took some

of our pics and put it in our file and that's it. She said, "I am approving you today

and you will receive your green card 3 weeks from now".

The interview only took 5 min. and my husband and the interviewer had a little

conversation about san francisco,,, that's it.

PRAISE GOD for this wonderful blessing and visajourney for all the inputs,

that helps a lot!!! We are so happy!

  4. Hello,,, anybody here waiting for interview appointment? Goshhhhhhh!!!! im so anxious to receive when the date of intervies is.... do i have to worry about this not having the interview date yet?

I feel your pain! I wonder if it's living in California that's the problem. I haven't heard ANYTHING on my AOS either, not even a transfer notice.

I really have no idea how they process our documents, there are cases who are approved quickly and others dont. I dont know also if my documetns will be transferred to CSC, i noticed here, most of K3-AOS have interview appointements that's why im assuming of an interview. I will be relieved to at least know when is the interview date.

Is it advisable to do an infopass? Is it still early to do that?

  5. Definitely hard to look for a job. I tried applying though and they required validation of credentials... after i'd done with the validation they approved my application and now waiting for interview schedule this month. Driving is so much necessity in our place. Im praying that the time of the job i will get will be the same with my husband's. Thinking of enrolling in driving school but... my gosh!!!! its so expensive here.

God bless to everyone of us. Im waiting for my notive of AOS interview.

  6. Hi,

My husband and I are new members but will be posting a timeline soon!

We actually hired an attorney to prepare my husband's AOS package in hopes of avoiding silly or serious errors being made due to our inexperience with this whole process. After collecting all of our information and payment, our attorney completed and submitted our package by regular mail on 2/11/08. To my dismay, on 2/26/08 my husband and I both received rejection notices (he for I-485, me for I-30) due to incorrect filing fees. Don't really understand how our attorney could have made this mistake considering the new fees have been in effect since 7/30/07 (especially for someone who claims to submit these pretty regularly). Then on 2/27/08 my husband received another rejection letter for his I-765 due to our attorney failing to complete some sections on the application. Now, we are waiting for the entire application to be returned for correction and resubmission. Not sure if it will be returned to us or our attorney but I assume it will be returned to our attorney since he was the preparer and he submitted it with his own personal check after receiving payment from us.

At this point, we are beyond angry  . Both at our attorney for being so careless and at ourselves for having left this totally in his hands without doing our own research. Has anyone had experience with this sort of thing before? If so, in your experiences is the waiting time to get the package back long? And is the processing time of the resubmission long as well? I know every case is different but it would be great to have an idea of what we are up against.

    Thanks, Guys

Hello... its really irritating that an attorney would have such mistakes.

He probably dont have experience with the immigration processes.

You know the best thing to do is try to post all of your questions here

because all members here have first hand experiences with regards to

filing AOS. There will be much answers to your questions because we

are in the same situation. On the other hand you could save money and

its so good to learn here and its a good feeling knowing that you did all

the filings by your own and with the help of this link. We filed from K3 to

AOS without hiring an attorney. I just post questions if i am not understanding

    something... it helped a lot.

  7. Congratulations to everybody who had aprrovals for AOS.... mine has no touch since 12/26 and i am K3-AOS...K1 really is fast... i already received EAD card though.

I am a K3 AOS also and have not been transferred or touched either. We have the EAD also. we've been married for almost 13 years.... you'd think they would look at it and say the marriage is legitimate. sigh.... so we wait.

I think they want to see us in person and see how genuine our relationship/marraige. K1 has american marraige cert. so they can easily check its authenticity here in US. Anyways, we dont have to worry since its part of the process and our marraige is genuine, one important is we have our EAD and we can work already legally. Do you know any K3-AOS who's been trnaferred to CSC?

  8. Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On February 26, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Congratulations Lona.C,,, my OAS has no even "touched" since 12/26 after biometrics... hay!!!! K3 takes long. I hope i will be also transferred to CSC.

  9. We sent in our application for AOS on November 20th. We recently received the EAD/AP and our file is still stuck at the central location while I've read about countless people who've applied after us who have then been transferred, and approved. Should I be concerned it hasn't been transferred to our local office yet? Should I call? HELP!!!! I'm just horribly jealous and worried something could be wrong since it also hasn't even been touched since 12/20 (the day of biometrics)

    Thanks ! :help:

We're in the same situation, i already got my EADcard but the AOS has no update since the last touch 12/26 after the biometrics. My papers are also at NBC which most cases have interviews. So, i am expecting to receive a notice of interview. I am also anxious to receive it since it makes me worry also due to its last touch 2 mos. ago. Lets keep waiting and hope for the best.

  10. Is there anyone else with no touches on their AOS? We've gotten EAD and AP, but not even a date change on our AOS since biometrics last month.

Are all cases transferred to CSC? I haven't even gotten notice of that!

We're on the same process... got my EAD but no touched yet for AOS

since the last one after biometric dated 12/26... never received transfer

to CSC notice also... probably we will receive interview appt date notice.

  11. Hi everyone.

    I need your help!

I filed I-130 for my spouse as a greencard holder to CSC on july 2007 and got a receipt notice (NOT

    APPROVED YET).

Now I 'm about to become a U.S citizen really soon so my wife could file an I-485(from F-1).

    Here's a question.

Where should she file I-485 to??

USCIS says if the I-130 has approved already, you should file I-485 to chicago.

But I filed I-130 to CSC in the first place. so I'm little confused.......

I'd really appreciated if anybody gave me any tips or information!!(・_・ゞ−☆

  12. Hi,

Has anyone of you here had their interview cancelled? Our interview was supposedly scheduled on March 24, 2008 here in Las Vegas but I received today a mail that they cancelled it due to unforeseen circumstances and they will just inform us for a reschedule. I just hope it won't take long. Even the card production of my EAD has been changed too, from Feb 5 to Feb 8.

    thanks,

    babycakes

Hello,,, usually they just reschedule the cancelled appointment. My friend from Florida had a cancelled nov 07 interview but they rescheduled it last december07. If you dont receive any notice just go through your cancelled date. There are DENIED cases already who did not go for a cancelled interview. Better to go than be denied.
