My husband was refused after his interview last month! 30 minutes after the interview we received an email asking for documentation we sent the same day and it took 3 days for status change from refused to AP and other 2 days for change to issue the same day that was issued Aramex called him to pick up the visa! So everything was in less than a full week!

Why was he refused and was the officer interrogating him?

Sounds like you are in AP. There is no timeline for that. It could be days or months, while they look over whatever they want. There are many people who had to provide more evidence. What kind of evidence are they asking for? The officer kept saying this looms like fraud but I don’t understand why

They wanted more text messages and updated police report and pictures which we provided but o was confused on other ppl saying they sent it back to USCIS the officer gave a paper that shows what she needs and it says up to a year to provide the documentation but when I look status it show refusal

  4. So my cousin said his wife had an interview today and the officer at the consulate made it seem as if she had married to be able to bring her son to USA she told his wife “are you sure you didn’t marry to take your son to the USA?”  But then she still kept the passport and asked for her to get an updated police record so I’m confused if the consulate will keep the passport then later say your case is denied she didn’t say whether or not it was approved  or denied and she was approved USCIS and was at her visa interview today has anyone experienced this before?

So when the NVC asks for your income tax return copies...are they doing this to verify my income or to see if I filed single , married, married filing separate or no ???  Because I filed single because it kept asking me for my wife’s ssn, and she doesn’t have one.  I got an RFE and I’m working on that, but I’m worried about the income tax thing

No don't worry about that they are just checking if you meet the income requirements. You  can  explain your situation  but they know the rules that you have to have ITIN or San. To claim  your spouse.

To get. ITIN you must send in your original passport.  And fill out form W7.  But you can have your spouse apply for an extension of you think you be in USA soon so that he can file married filing joint to get th4 best tax deductions and benefits.   Hope this helps.

You can also use a agency to help you i posted a link for you.

As you're married, you file as married :) my US husband just finished his taxes. In the space for my "SSN" number he put "NRA" (non-resident alien) as I don't have one. He filed as "married filing separately" and had to mail it in instead of filing electronically. You can alternatively get your foreign spouse an ITIN number so that you can file jointly, but unfortunately I don't know the process for that.

That's right, I'm sure that I send all the possible proofs that my marriage is true I know that I do not lack anything but when I receive the letter I tell them

Did you include passport photos, copy of your entire passport all pages,  and at least 2 proofs bona fide marriage such as your license and letters from at least 2 family members?  maybe we can figure what you forgot to be ready

According according to my lawyer it takes 180-240 days to get an NOA2

Ive seen ppl get approved in 30 days before and one just got approved  3 months so it just depends on the officer and the center...  But at least we all know one day it will be approved and all this stress will be past tense and we can live our life with our loves.

Hi,  my fiance is from Algeria and we are planning to go CR1 but plan to get married in Tunisia, as it takes over 45 days to wait for a marriage ceritifcate in Algeria.

I'm trying to find out about how many days we need to be in Tunisia from start to finish to get married there.  I've researched on the internet and found people saying anywhere from 1 -3 weeks.

Does anyone (not Tunisian) have recent experience getting married in Tunis specifically and how long did it take you?  Any other details are appreciated!

    Thanks!

Hi am am American currently in Algeria and it took us 2 month to get approval in Algeria to married and Tunisa is not much different so we decided to marry here..

It almost seems as though as the "Processing Cases As of Date" column is not reflective of the type of information that would be most beneficial for us to know. I think that I would prefer to see a range posted for each row, such as the latest date being processed versus the most recent date being processed. It would give a better indication where the field office is at in terms of addressing their application load. Just my thoughts on the matter... Seeing the most late dates of processing just prompts the notion that our applications are going to be addressed extremely late from my perspective.

I was told that the dates they post are the oldest date of a file that they havent completes for example like if a file from feb is has a rfe and the person hasnt fixed it then they out they are still working in feb although they may working on April files.  They just post oldest file they have in hand.  So don't really pay attention to these dates they can suddenly jump God willing...

Keep in mind any approvals you see on the app or online got approved up to a week ago. Most people are getting approvals in the mail before they see it online.

    Another 2 cases updated Nebraska

NOA1 Feb 6 - Andorra (small country in Europe) - approved

NOA Feb 13 - Costa Rica - request for additional evidence

Judging on the data I see they are catching up on past Nov/Dec filers. Then processing late Jan - mid Feb filers with the odd late Feb getting approved. The range of approvals is around 270-300 days with some going above and below that. Anyone who filed a K3 (i129 & i130) will probably see another 30-60 days.

Visa Journey's timeline was actually quite useful and within 2 weeks for my case when trying to predict an approval.

But if say one service center is caught up will they transfer cases, I just don't think it's fair for one center to be processing June cases while other center is in January....

150 days, seriously? Does anyone know if the recent processing times have gotten better, worse, or have stayed the same?

Anyone who filed after June 2017, have you received your NOA2?

    I haven't yet my PD is July 25, 2017
