I'm having the same issue with my GP, funnily enough the nurse gave me the hep A/B combi (which is 3 doses over 6 months), but won't administer the MMR or a T/dap which I got as a child but when the systems all went electronic my old vaccines are not listed so I'm out of luck, ive tried to charm my way into getting it with my local GP in person and over the phone to no avail, so looks like it's down to boots for me 😅

you should be able to get your full records for a fee? I had to pay 30GBP for my full records to show what I'd had from birth.

@Morgan89 I'm glad they finally let you get it! can you please let me know if you had to say anything specific to achieve that? I want to be as prepared as possible 😉

I asked why my mom was able to get it for free from her GP in Birmingham 2 months earlier lol! Think they only gave it me begrudgingly because I was annoying them.

Yes you will get it after EAD approval. And if it doesnt come in the mail (unlikely) you can visit SSA with your EAD and reapply. It will be approved because you would then have legal status again.

Oh no I thought the SSN would arrive with my EAD card 🤨

So usually we have to go to SSA once we’ve recieved the card... do you know if I’ll receive it the same day or do I apply there and then wait for them to mail it?

  4. Hey all, interview question:

    I had my K1 medical June 2018

Married in the states in August

    AOS pd - October 12th

In my state, it’s like 13-18 months to interview, so will I...

1 - Need another medical before interview?

2 - Need to have my medical records validated in the states?

3 - Do nothing because the medical form I provided for AOS from the UK is valid? - if valid, for how long?

    TIA!

Just a quick question for those who have had their EAD's approved, have you found it updated on the new USCIS update site or the old one?

Also do you have dates for when your 'Fingerprint review was completed'? Because mine updated on the new site to show that my fingerprint review was completed on the 27th Nov?

I don't want to sit here with the hope that I'll get approved some time this week or next - it's killing me right now.

It updated for me on the old website and I didn't have an update for 'Fingerprint review completed'. My last update was for application recieved.

My PD was Oct 12 and biometic November 5th

  6. Hi all, my PD is October 12th however, I had an RFE (for tax information that I aleady 100% had sent but I assume they lost). For some reason, my RFE got returned to USCIS twice so I didnt recieve it until mid december, I replied and the last status update I have was that my responce was recieved on December 21st.

So, my question is, am I still considered an October filer or am I now a December filer expecting 2 months added to my timeline for EAD

Also, my mother in law has a registered company and is looking to hire a PA. I've worked as a PA before and she would hire me if I had my SSN. Could I apply for expedited EAD for that job?

    Thanks

I posted in the UK sub forum to see what others timelines were.

There is nothing about my relationship that would suddenly raise red flags after a verbal

    approval.

Im just curious of the routine AP timeline so would appreciate others to reply if they see this.

If everything with your visa is normal - which it seems to be from what you've said then AP should only last a few days.

Unfortunately, the status updates don't follow a pattern thats the same for everyone but London is moving pretty fast at the moment. My interview was on the 18th, status changed to 'Application Recieved' for two days and then AP before being issued on tuesday afternoon. From my research whilst I waited, it seemed that most people go from Ready - issued within 7 days but the status order can vary. You don't have anything to worry about as of right now, tbh... I've only seen people with complicated cases or some red flag be in AP for a long time. This doesn't seem to apply in your case!! Fingers crossed for you that it comes tomorrow, before the weekend.

You would have to go back to London to have the packet opened, checked, and resealed. Or you could trust that yours is ok and have DX pick up the stray piece and return to London. Since they package, it seems partly their error for putting in an extra piece that's not normally in the outer wrapper.

It has happened once that I remember, a guy got to POE and had the entire packet for another man by the same name, also in London, who had not had his interview yet. The CBP let the guy in while it got sorted. They wouldn't give POE guy any information about packet but he noticed the name while they shuffled  papers. It had to be sorted by CBP and London, but the two guys found each other on VJ.

    edited-- darn auto correct

Wait... DX do the packaging? That would make me sure that the inside of my sealed evelope is OK...

Just got off the phone to a lady at the Embassy in London that assured me the package is fine the way it has been sent and for added peace of mind I can take the police certificates with me to have on hand at POE if needed.

I also sent an email via the Embassy contact form so fingers crossed I get written confirmation of the above and not conflicting information. Will keep this thread posted for anyone in a similar situation.

Hi What number did you call?

I live in london so that's not a problem if they can check it quickly, do you know the best number to call?

The back of my envelope is signed with my seal and my name is above it as well as my passport and police certificate being correct. So I think the affivadivit was added in error. Is it usual/correct that they handed mine back to me at interview?

    thanks

  11.  Hi

was approved for my K1 visa and collected my passport and the visa packet today. Inside, was the large white envelope, my passport and an affidavit of support that belongs to someone else!!!

I just bought my flight today and now I'm freaking out that the inside of my visa packet is for the wrong person?

Has anyone been able to contact the embassy regarding a mistake like this via a method faster than email??

    Thanks

I have a question about the wait times. When you booked your medical exam and interview, how far ahead were the first available dates? i.e. can you usually get appointments within a couple weeks or do you have to wait over a month, etc?

The interview appointments were available within 2 weeks but the medical was a month away, so I booked an early interview and called until I found a medical cancellation.

thank you for sharing your experience !!

did your letter had the magic words "not a threat to herself or other " ?

I have to bring a letter as well because of something happened when I was 12. My GP used "not a concern to herself or others" I am hoping this would be enough since it was something that occurred MANY years ago. (Im 24). I also have another letter that my former GP (from France because that is where I grew up) wrote and has the actual magic words.

Also good to know you can basically call them everyday until you get a closer date. I sure am going to do so if needed :jest:

My first letter was two lines that said I’ve had mild depression and anxiety but was not a harm to myself or others.

The doctor told me to ask for a more detailed letter and that said that I do not have and have never had any history of serious mental illness. I have had mild depression & anxiety in the past (included dates) which did not include any episodes of self harm or harm to myself or others. It said the name and dose of the medication I have taken in the past, that the medication was common and unremarkable and stated that i’m no longer on the medication.

And yes they tell you over the phone that they don’t often have cancellations however, I know a few people have managed to get some this month so it’s worth a try :)

I’m pretty sure I did some high kicks and jumps for joy once we got outside :jest:in adminstrive processing at the moment- but it’s been most recently updated yesterday. My medical wasn’t there yet (I had my medical on the 8th) but was told it should be there that day and that they’d issue it right away. Booked my flight out for the 16th. Would’ve preferred earlier but didn’t want to fork out too much cash on flights. What’s an extra week or two now that the long hard journey is over? ^_^ Our approval came on the anniversary of them receiving our i130!

Ahh I see, the flights are quite expensive at the moment. I usually pay around £600 but I’m looking at at least £900 now 😑 I’m hoping to go out by the 13th so my fiancé and I can spend my birthday together. Btw did they give you back all of your photos? They didn’t take any of mine and I’ve been paranoid that they’ll call me asking me to come back with some!
