I sent my file on 01/11/21 and just today USCIS cashed the check for the fee but I haven't gotten the NOA yet. It's taking long and I don't even know what center I was assigned to

    Call this number 800-375-5283

and say technical support twice and it will direct you to a live agent.

I just saw this number also from a previous post here, and it worked for me. I was able to get my receipt number yesterday. The agent was very nice, only asked my A#, Address and date of birth.

I realized I made the same mistake and forgot to sign the credit card authorization form; I didn't even notice there was a space for it.

But the bigger mistake I made was completely forgetting to include a copy of my wife's green card (front and back)! I assumed they would have it on file in their system.

I should have read the instructions more carefully.

Do I re-submit an entire application including copies of my wife's green card and a SIGNED credit card authorization form? We don't want to end up getting charged TWICE for our application. USCIS never refunds anything, right?

Or do I submit just these two things as an amendment / RFE before USCIS tells me 2~3 months from now what I forgot to include?

Here's what my packet consisted of:

G-1450 (missing my signature for credit card authorization)

    G-1145

    I-751

    Copy of House Deed

    Copy of Apartment Lease Agreements

Copy of 2019 Tax Return (we haven't done our 2020 taxes yet)

    Copy of Joint Credit Cards

I would say just wait until they charge your credit card. When did they received your packet btw?
If you have any pending credit card authorization from USCIS, its a good sign. Now, for the greencard copies I will wait until the request for it. An RFE actually is not a bad thing, it’s a sign that someone is working on your case.

Hi @DFW0114 sorry  to bother you again. I just noted the email I received stated below. Did I need to print the PDF, sign, and email the signature back?

    ***PROPER CONSENT***

Please note the Ombudsman’s Office must receive proper consent from the applicant or petitioner who signed the applicable form that was submitted to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).  Consent may be submitted by having the applicant or petitioner sign section 12 of the Form DHS-7001, which can be accessed at https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publications/cisomb_dhsform7001.pdf.

If you are an attorney or accredited representative, you must submit a copy of the signed Form G-28, Notice of Entry or Appearance as attorney or Representative.

If you did not provide this information when you submitted your request for case assistance, we ask that you please have the applicant or petitioner sign this document and email it to cisombudsman@hq.dhs.gov

I just actaully fill out the form 7001 that’s  on the website then from there u can attached any proof(ex. Job offer) in there. You don’t need to sign anything as long as you read and agree the privacy policy they have on that website. Goodluck and GodBless  you.

    just an update as well.

I finally got my ead today and i’m going to start with my new job tomorrow.

Hi @DFW0114 after submitting DHS-7001, I received two automatic emails. So based on your experience, I will not receive anything until when the ombudsman sends an inquiry to USCIS? Or was it USCIS that told you that the ombudsman sent them an inquiry? Thanks!!

How did your employ react with your approval? Did they really need to see the card? Hope at least they are willing to wait a little more now that you have been approved.

Omdubsman will be the one to contact you after they review ur case. (Either they will contact uscis on your behalf or they can’t help you with your expedite request)

The director agreed to hold my position as long as i’m giving them update on the progress of my case and hopefully i’ll get my ead today or monday since the my status changed already “card was mailed to me” 2 days ago.

    Goodluck and GodBless you
