I am also a medical student! And i am using a friend for sponsor. BTW do you know if we could use anyone as a sponsor? the i 134 is for the interview at the embassy. The i 864 is for adjustment of status after marriage.
ah that is cool! And yes you can use anyone as a sponsor. as long is the sponsor makes enough money.
Good luck with your visa and medical school. I know how hard it is to combine these two!

I-134 is what your fiance takes to the interview for a K1 visa.
I-864 is for adjustment of status after you guys marry.
I'm the beneficiary and my fiance is still studying medicine so she doesn't make any money at the moment to support me. Her mom will be my sponsor. tell me if i'm wrong but I thought we have to use the I-864 form. also for the interview.

Thank you, If i am using a sponsor then we will have two forms of I 134 correct. Mine ( the petitioner) and our sponsor . Even if i don't have current income i fill one out correct?
I am so confused about this affidavit of support form.
at some places i read that you have to fill in a I-134 and sometimes I read you have to fill in the form I-864.
A friend of my fiance went through all of this 6 months ago and he said that he used the form I-864.
can anybody tell me which form we should provide during our interview at the embassy?

With this surname and looking at your profile I see that the beneficiary is from the Netherlands...
that makes me happy...maybe I will be one of the next Dutch getting the NOA2...
😎 😁 😊
I couldn't wait any longer so I went back home.
And yesss it's an approval! It was approved on January 20th.
And I'm the beneficiary btw. and you're correct I am from the Netherlands. I'm just visiting my fiance at the moment.
Hopefully you will be the next Dutch applicant who will recieve his NOA2.

Since our timelines are getting postponed all the time and the long waiting time at the NVC I guess we won't be together with our partners before April. Now I have the chance to go visit my fiancee for 2 weeks. I can leave mid January and come back in the beginning of February. Do you guys think I should go or will I get any problems when I try to enter the US?

Nice that you want to do that...
I strong believe the time it will go down at some point... seeing that they are touching july files without an Inquiry or expedited cases... Yersterday was a july 7 with a RFE and today I read some post of FB where they say that was an approval for July 2... I try to ask the case number to check if it was a regular approval or an inquiry or expedited, but no response to that...
and my time line is going back on dates first was between 5 and 8 January '18 and now is 3 and 6 January '18...
@JSCGPV Can you check if it is any moviment on July today...
😉😎
My timeline is at the exact same date!!! you or your fiancee might be at the exact same time at the embassy as me. Lol!!
