We were talking daily via Skype... and beginning of this year it was blocked (most of the others were blocked before they added Skype, like whatsapp, Facebook, etc.) We have tried half a dozen other apps/programs - all of which are also blocked from the Dubai side. We can chat...just cannot call.
Calling from my cell phone is about $3 per minute... not do-able for me.
Sooo I thought perhaps someone else found something that works? Or has an idea we haven't considered...?
I use Google Voice to communicate with my fiance in Dubai. It's about 20 cents a minute! And you can download the app on your phone so that all your outgoing international calls to him/her will automatically default to your Google number.

Im going to try and have her get more pics so I can keep trying. Told her to get further pics and I can zoom in or see if they can do US required photo.

As fate would have it, our Noa2 was approved yesterday, the same day I landed in my fiance's resident country to visit for 2 weeks! Haha. Such a blessing to get the news while we're together-- now we can relax and enjoy our time together a little more. The status has not updated on the website our the app yet and I will update the RFE master list when I have access to a real computer. I will say an extra prayer tonight for those still waiting for NOA2--I know the process is fatiguing but your approval will come in due time! Stay positive and God bless!

Called the immigration office today. Was speaking to a guy that was very rude. Wouldn’t transfer me to a tier 2. I asked them if I could be transferred to a supervisor. He transferred me to what seemed to be a dead line cause it rang and rang for a good 5 mins.
I hung up and called again. Got a very nice lady. I told them I was being transferred to an immigration officer and got discounted. She transferred me to the line. Entered in my information the wait was only going to be 23 mins.
23 mins go by... I get a call back. He says that he can’t tell me any information and not past normal processing time they are only processing case from may 1st I was like well that’s funny cause I know people getting approvals that filed in June. He hung up or the phone call got disconnected on me mid sentence.
I called back again. Get transferred again. Wait again. And different immigration office is connected this time. Told them out of normal processing time blah blah. Tells me he can’t tell me anything at all. I have to wait. All he can tell me is that my application has not been approved.
I don’t know how you all do it but I couldn’t get anyone to tell me anything. I was nice on the phone was rude or loud or anything. 😭😭 I just want to know some something. What a frustrating process
Same thing happened when I got my call back yesterday. The female officer "Jones" was incredibly rude and I'm pretty sure she hung up the phone on me, even though I was being polite. When I called back they were not able to transfer me to a supervisor due to the time being "too late in the day" and suggested I call again the next day. I've officially given up on calling the supervisors for anything. My few experiences with them have all been nauseating and I usually end up feeling more frustrated after the phone calls are finished. My fiance and I are just going to continue waiting patiently and will not 'pester' the USCIS representatives anymore.

The good news is you don't actually need to wait 30 days to make a request for a copy like the case status states, you can do it in 15 days!
RFE....so now I'm obssessed with it!
What's usually in the envelope?
Is there a form to send back to USCIS?
Is there just a paper that tells us what USCIS needs?
My RFE was 3 sheets of paper in a regular sized envelope, 2 of the sheets I has to send back with a signature. They provided a return envelope so that was helpful.

I apparently neglected to check "no" on Part 3 Question 2 that asks if you've ever been convicted of serious crimes.
I sent back the attachment they requested along with my passport pages today and a little more evidence of ongoing relationship, so praying the NOA2 will come mid-November. Can't believe I overlooked the question after reviewing the packet so many times!!! lol.
Just above that question is a section that says "only answer this if you are in the military" so I accidentally skipped the section.

My case is near the top with an RFE-- I also got the notification on the app. I can't say I'm disappointed.. after reading others' stories on this forum about receiving RFE's for not sending copies of their passport stamps, I knew I'd probably be getting one too and started preparing 'additional evidence' weeks ago. I assumed the government would be able to see proof of our travels with our passport numbers but that would make too much sense lol. I'll wait for the notice in the mail next week and prepare the response this weekend. At this point, I'm actually happy to have news about the RFE rather than no news at all. Looking forward to seeing my 'Case Was Approved' on one of your future scans

I just got an RFE notice from the app and will wait for it in the mail. I'll let you know how long it takes! I guess any news is better than no news

New to this forum and so glad I found it! Application Received May 2nd, NOA1 May 8th.
Happy to be at the home stretch-- the wait has been challenging for both of us but we understand everything worthwhile takes time
His birthday is in 2 weeks and the NOA2 would be a great gift for both of us to share!! lol.
Either way, we are happy to have found each other and will continue waiting patiently for the process to be complete.

Don't rely on the website, my application still says RFE from October lol-- when I called USCIS to ask them to update the website after approval, the representative said (and I quote) "our website has functioned well in a while, I wouldn't trust the website or worry about it. If you got the approval in the mail then you're all set."
