  1. Sure, I will post after the interview how did it go.
  2. Can I choose to NOT TO CHANGE name during interview and go with same day OATH if possible? I have very limited PTO left and my director already pissed on me for my month recent long vacation. I do not wanna make too frequent time off requests
  3. Speeding tickets should not be issue where they have been paid in full. Plus last ticket was in 2022 which lapsed 3YEARS. The arrest was for a charge which ended up with no conviction and 10 years old. I heard USCIS looks 5 years from filing. My marriage was in good faith and genuine. I literally got done I751 interview in 6-7 mins. Instead I asked the IO if he wants to know more about marriage and divorce. He said all good. I got GC in 09/2016 and divorced in 11/2017. Married in 09/2015. I can answer as much as I can but I destroyed a lot of good faith evidences (specially photos, letters, cards) after I751 was approved because I was tired of holding our dead memories.
  4. Thanx for sharing dear. I will take my whole i751 waiver file with me then. Add new marriage certificate. Also tax returns and arrest case dismissal copy. I could not locate my ex wife's naturalization certificate but I got I130, I485, and later I751 approved. Idk what will be rational to spiral around old memories and the docs which were checked before. Let's see what happens.
  5. We got married in 2015 and got divorced in 2017. I got CGC in 2016 and got condition removed in 2024 with waiver and no RFE (filed 2019). Got married 2nd time in my home country in 2021. Are you saying my 2nd marriage can be an issue?
  6. I am doing on my own. When you said potential issues, which ones you are referring to?
  7. My ex wife got naturalized through her dad when she was 10 or 11. I think she came here with GC first around 11 and later naturalized around 14-15.
  8. Hello folks, finally got my interview letter for N400. I filed on 5 years rule though I am a LPR for 9 years. Removed condition in 2024 October with Good faith marriage waiver. I have few questions if you guys can help with: 1. I have 5 traffic citations back from 2015 to 2022 where all were speeding violations and have been paid off. I do not have any court docs for them. I disclosed them in N400. Do I have to get any dismissal paper or court docs for them? 2. I was divorced from 2017 to 2021 with my ex wife through whom I got GC. I got married in 2021 and mentioned everything in N400. Do I have to take Naturalization certificate of ex spouse, divorce decree and 2nd marriage certificate? My perception was since the condition was approved so the GC will be sufficient. 3. I was arrested in 2015 (10 years ago) for charge of shoplifting under value 100 but later the case got dismissed without conviction for me and my accompanying friend actually got convicted. But we both were arrested initially. I have court dismissal docs for this case. But just worried if this will bar me from naturalization or not. I got my conditional GC and later removed condition after that event though. 4. My initial understanding was- I need to take interview letter, my original GC, current and previous passports, 3 years tax documents, and shoplifting arrest dismissal paper. Do I have to add any further document for the interview? Or am I missing anything? 5. I heard a lot of times interview and oath ceremony happen same day on the USICS site. I have small name change request. Any chance for same day oath if my case gets approved? I am an Orlando, FL filer.
  9. Hello, Can you give me an idea how long it usually takes to get naturalized after filing N400? And with me filing for my spouse I 130 as LPR and then upgrading it; also applying for parents after naturalization. - Can you think of an estimated time frame for the entire process? I am just trying to plan for the next few years and also planning on some major financial decisions based on estimated timeline of these processes. Feel free to ask if you have any discovery question to assess my situation. Also when you said it will proceed right away... did you mean immediate approval? Does it work like that for USC?
  10. How can I upgrade after becoming USC? And based on your last note, did you mean I can file for my parents in one I130? You said together.
  11. Hello folks- I am a LPR (10 YR GC) with N400 pending; so I am not USC yet. I really want to bring my parents and my spouse (got married before filing N400 and provided spouse info in N400 application) as soon as I can because life has been difficult for me maintaining everything alone and my spouse has some medical condition. Should I wait for my N400 to be adjudicated/approved and then file I130 petition for them? Or I should file now and change my citizenship status once it changes? I know as a LPR, I can file for spouse but not parents. I am just holding back in case filing as LPR unnecessarily increases the processing time. Someone said to file as soon as possible and just change my status once N400 gets approved. Any opinion on this situation? What can be my best route to take?
  12. @TBoneTX Hey, thanks for helping there. I have a question. What you mean by "Doing so often pries the ROC loose" ? I went to USCIS office yesterday to get passport stamped and asked for update on my case. The lady said: It is now in Interview shelf since June 2023 which means they got files and will schedule an interview (if needed). I also asked if I can apply for N400 and she said yes. Later she called her supervisor and the supervisor said yes I do qualify because I am married to USC and more than 5 years as PR. When I said that I am not married anymore she looked at the case again and said- Oh, you filed with Good faith marriage waiver; so that needs to get approved first. I noticed the difference in her tone after she heard we are divorced. She later said you can apply but we are not suggesting or saying you to apply. She said it is on me. later she added- The processing time at my local field office is 4-5 months for N400 which most of the times cut the waiting time for ROC candidates. But in my case both will be assessed at same time if I apply. -------Any comment on the these? Is it hard to get ROC with waiver approved?
  13. Hello folks here: I filed this ROC with divorce waiver since April 2018 and from February 2021, the case status is: "As of February 4, 2021, we are ready to schedule your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXXX, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice." Any advice on this matter? It has been over 5 years since I filed for ROC and 2.5 years since it says READY for Interview. Please advise if I need to do anything. I have been a permanent resident since September, 2016 and I think my naturalization time limit is more than it is required. We got divorced in October, 2017 after little over 2 years of marriage.
