Just got notified via the USCIS Case Tracker app that our new permanent green card is being produced! Hooray! We submitted the I-751 back in February 2021 and the only updates we’d received from USCIS was the the letter extending the provisional green card status. Other than that, nothing. Was getting worried until today’s news. Our case was processed by the Vermont Service Center. So for those still waiting, take heart!

Hey all - We sent our I-751 package via USPS on January 19th. My partner’s GC was set to expire on Feb 5th, so though we filed 2.5 weeks before the expiry, we felt comfortable that we’d done it in time. We mailed with a tracking number and were shocked to see the package got stuck for a week.... then 2 weeks, then 3 weeks, finally it showed as having been received at the Phoenix AZ box on Feb 19th, almost 2 weeks after the GC expiry date. 😞
Are we doomed? Should we expect a rejection for having filed after the 90 day window? If so, any ideas of what to do? We’re super nervous here. Everything went great through the K-1 visa, green card interview and now this, all thanks to the U.S. post office delays.

Hi all - Filed the AOS late September but it got rejected because I put the wrong fee amount on the check! AND we put the wrong letter code on the I-765 EAD form (we'd put a-6 instead of c-9). Corrected those and refiled last week and just got the text notification that the I-767 would be forthcoming. Checked my bank account and they have cashed the check. So hopefully we're on our way! Not sure about why so many people are having trouble with their spouses getting a SSN. My husband did that soon after arrival and we got it a couple of weeks later no problem. Good luck to all.

Our case was received on February 19, 2021. Because of the terrible service from the US postal service during COVID, it actually arrived LATE, outside the 90 day window during which you need to submit the application. This had us super nervous that we’d end up getting an RFE after having waited so long. But it all worked out, thankfully. And no interview required!
