Hello guys!
i want to say thank to everyone who has supported, helped throughout this entire journey of immigration including k1 @Shoegum who had prepared the sheets to track the cases and others who helped with the documentation process of AOS.
I had my interview yesterday and was approved - they said they will mail the card in 1-2 weeks. The entire process took 100 days with maybe additional two days of filing. I strongly believe that everyone should keep some patience (its hard and i know easier said than done), hopeful and soon your time will come!
I also want to share an interesting experience regarding our interview process. Before we were called in by the immigration officer, there was a married couple next to us - the immigration officer came to them and told the husband and wife that he would like to speak to the wife separately first and then will get back to the husband to talk to them. The immigration officer made the husband sit outside. Looking at that, my husband and I were puzzled. When my name was called out, the immigration officer called us both inside her cabin and finished up the interview process which took only 15 mins. We walked out with the approval. I think they do this separation if they sense fraud or if they feel they need more information. I'm sure many of you are aware of this separation of married couples, however, it depends on the field offices. For the ones who don't know I just thought this is an opportunity to tell you guys so you're prepared for it even though I don't think that will happen in case of K1 cases because we legally come to the US based on our true love hehe
All the best to you guys! and i'm ready to help in case if anyone has questions - drop me a message

October 10 interview for our July filing. So yes it’s seems in some cases GC is faster than EAD. I know this forum is for June folks but I bought I would share.
Yes thanks for sharing this info!

i recently spoke to someone who got her green card before her social security card lol
for folks who have applied for their social security card with their EAD - If you do get your green card and haven't got your social security card - it is advisable to visit your local social security office and ask about your status as it may still haven't begun processing and this way they can put in a request and expedite it (usually takes within 2 weeks to arrive).

Well if it is actually processed in the order it was received, If only there was a thread of people waiting for EAD's we might actually be able to get a idea of when we should expect ours. Is there a thread somewhere here? Is the VJ estimate somewhat accurate? Mine is currently showing to expect my EAD between November 4, 2018 and November 16, 2018*.
i spoke to a lot of people who are waiting for their EAD. usual timeline before was 3 months but its been 4 months they still haven't got it.. one person i know got it in 5 months.. apparently it is slower for people who have filed with adjustment of status based on marriage.
But don't lose hope, if not EAD your green card will get processed faster and then you won't need the EAD

A quick q for folks who are done with their interview... did the Immigration officer ask for any affidavit of support documents (cuz that’s the stuff we had already submitted with our AOS application)
was just confirming cuz I did not take a scan copy of the affidavit of support which had the sponsor’s signature.. so I’m so confused as to what to do ! It would be so kind of you guys to help me with this

Hey, want to jump in on this I'm not sure where my case is being processed but I'm in Massachusetts so maybe it's Boston? Just checked my case status and it says 'your case is ready to be scheduled for interview' I'm a July 2nd filer.
I'm going crazy not being able to work! 😵
Hope they schedule this interview soon! Haha anyone else had any experiences with this?
Thanks
So I filed and case was received exactly 73 days ago .. and now it’s scheduled.. I got my interview letter today. So yours should change within two weeks to ‘interview is schefule’ And then a week later you should get your interview letter! Good luck try not to think about it .. cuz it comes unexpectedly

As far as I’ve read, if you’re approved in your interview.. it takes a month for the green card to arrive in your mail but could be less or more! Really depends !
1 minute ago, Mark_712 said:Yes thank goodness - some of the the timelines here are pretty scary in terms of delays.
Really scary! I’m shocked when I saw my status change on the website !

No I would also prefer the EAD first! But guess they’re processing green cards faster.. whatever happens should hopefully finish fast!!!

It's not fishy.
We filed June 30 and interview was scheduled August 11th for September 18th. Some field offices just move faster than others, and/or have lighter case load. You will get your appointment letter in the mail any day now.
Congrats!
Thank you so much for your response and warm wishes !! all the best for your interview

Yes hoping on no interview. I was hoping my case would be send to RI field office cause it's closer to me but I saw it's for RI resident only. Guess it will be Boston. I had my biometrics in RI.
When did you file AOS?
i filed end of june... i had my biometrics at revere, ma (20 min away from boston by car) which was weird cuz i live in boston LOL their original office was in boston but they moved.

I filed June. Did biometrics a few Weeks ago. Today my status changed to ready for interview. I looked up the field offices in Massachusetts and Boston is it. Anyone else in Massachusetts applying? I'm still waiting on EAD and have no SSN yet. Boring waiting..
Hi! I also had my biometrics on 23rd July and yesterday my status turned to ‘case ready to be scheduled’. I’m also waiting for my EAD and SSN. I stay in Boston but my biometrics were in revere,MA .. maybe our cases are just transferred to the field offices here and that’s why the status changed
