Before you send in the wrong card get the USCIS verbiage removed from your ss card. Update your drivers license as well.
Use only ss card and dl for employment purposes.
The correct GC will take at least 6 months. You can file online but you have to send in the wrong card as well or they’ll reject your filing (so make plenty of front and back copies - or scan).
I can legal work even though I don't have the green card in hands? I thought I would need to show my green card as proof of permanent residency

Any idea how long it would take to get it corrected?
I haven't received an EAD or advance parole, so does that mean I won't be able to work?

Hello everyone,
After waiting for so long, I finally got my green card. However I'm confused because I thought I would received the 2 years conditional green card, but the expiration date of the green card I received says it's expires in 10 years.
I came to US with a K1 visa, got married in August 2018 and filled for AOS in October 2018. We have been married for 8 months.
Is that normal?
I really don't want to request for another green card and have to wait another 6 months
Help please!

Does anyone know how long does it take to get the green card after it says “card was mailed to me”?

Hey! I woke up with good news! I saw I was getting something in the mail this morning through the USPS app and I just got the interview letter in the mail. No updates on both websites or app.
My office is Detroit and I sent my application on Oct 15 (NOA Oct 17).
I didn't hear anything back from the EAD though

Yes that's true but the wait time for an AOS interview is dependent on your LFO. If Detroit has a wait time of 4.5 to 6.5 months then of course it may SEEM like they are related because that is the same processing time for EAD/AP. That is not the case for all LFOs.
That makes sense. Thank you

Could be because your LFO schedules interviews in 4.5 to 6.5 months (which is the timeline for EAD/AP).
They are definitely not related though.
I thought the NBC would initially process the AOS cases and then send it to your local office

Your EAD/AP is at the NBC.
Your GC interview will occur at the Detroit FO if that's your LFO.
I know but for some reason I feel like they work kinda together, because I see a lot of people getting their EAD approved and at the same time (or almost at the same time) their AOS gets an update to “interview ready to be schedule” or “interview scheduled”

Has anyone from Michigan gotten approved for ead or interview? I feel like things aren’t moving at the Detroit office

March 4 got the notice letter. the letter was sent Feb 27 too.
Thanks! My Noa is oct 17, so I’m hoping to hear something soon. My office is also detroit. But the app/website hasn’t updated since my biometric appointment. It’s still saying “fingerprint fee was received” 😢

Juaneng28, if you don’t mind me asking, is your office Detroit? When did you send your application?

Anyone from Michigan who has heard something back after the biometric?
Issue 10 years green card instead of conditional green card
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

How do I do this?
