  1. I just got this email from a friend that I go to church with:

    "Hey girls.

Okay so this is my friend Brooke, her friend from highschool who has a friend (gosh it's kinda starting to sound like the girl from Ferris Bueller) who is a part of this new line of makeup called eyelipsface (elf). It is going to be sold only at Bloomingdales. It is a high end line comparable to MAC etc. Right now for a limited time while they get their name out there and up and running EVERYTHING is $1. It is crazy and cool! SO go to www.eyeslipsface.com and check out the new makeup. You can't go wrong ordering for $1. Even brushes and eyelash curlers, tweezers, mascara..everything $1. No matter how much you order S&H is $7 so combine orders if you can!!!! Great Christmas presents too. Delivery because of high demand will take 3-5 weeks.

Let me know what you think.

    Lindsay

p.s. It's completely serious. I'm on their website right now- making out my order list. And it's all a dollar. It's like high end makeup-- sold at The Dollar Tree."

I just checked it out and I'm going to be doin' some orderin'...

  2. He waited about 3 hours and then the interview lasted around 45 minutes. He said she was very nice but very tough too. Here are the questions (if I can remember them all...):

    What is your fiance's name?

    Where does she live?

    Where does she work?

    When was she born?

    How did you meet her?

    When did you meet her?

    When did you become engaged?

What made you decide to use the internet to find her?

    Is she divorced?

    What is her ex-husband's name?

    When did she get divorced?

    How long were they together?

    Does she have children?

    How many?

    What are their names?

    How old is she?

    When was she born?

How long has she been working for XYZ?

    Have you met her parents?

Have you talked to them on the phone?

Do they approve of your relationship?

Does your family approve of your relationship?

    When was your fiance party?

    Who was there?

Were any of her family there? (She seemed surprised that they weren't  )

    Why weren't they there?

Where did you have the fiance party? (Again, she seemed surprised that it was at his house-He said welllllll...where would you like for us to have it? :hehe: )

Why didn't she bring her children? (Father stopped the passport application- )

    What religion is she?

    What is your religion?

    When did she visit you?

How long did she stay each visit?

What do you do for work?

How do you communicate with her?

How many times a day do you talk to her on the phone?

    She asked for the emails.

She asked to see the pictures.

Why does she only have one dress?

Why are all of the pictures with her just in one dress? (he told her that he has 100's of pictures and she told him to bring more for his file)

I know there are more questions and I'll post them as I remember them. He said he made her laugh through the entire interview. He heard the person next to him being asked: How long have her parent's been divorced? I thought that was an unusual question.

She told him that he did very well and she gave him the 221g with a box marked: Need additional photos. She told him to just come back tomorrow at 1:30pm and give the photos to the man at the window with your passport. He asked what should I tell my fiance? She said to tell her that everything is fine and that he is approved and all he has to do is wait for her call.

  3. I don't think I've ever heard him talk sooooooooo fast. He said the interviewer was very tough (Maureen was her name). They told him to bring more pictures and then he would be approved  . She asked why all of the pictures just had me in a red dress (from fiance party). I said, "You mean you ONLY brought the fiance party pictures?????????". He said he forgot the others. He is going back tomorrow with the rest. He asked her, "What should I tell my fiance?" and she said, "Just tell her that you will be approved when I see more pictures and to wait for her call."

This is after we had been stressing over the fact that the package I had sent him for this interview, which was so elegantly organized, that I sent over 3 weeks ago and spent a load of money on, NEVER made it to his house. Now it seems that all of that wasn't even necessary.

I am not resting until he actually has the 221g in his hands and then until he has his visa in his hands!

Once he gets home and can talk a little slooooower, I will give more details of the interview.

  4. Come on people...lighten up and have some fun here. I don't see the point in wasting time trying to change someones opinion. I do feel sad when I can see that someone has been hurt by unkind comments, but we can't fix it. Just send that person a PM and give them your support.

This bickering just isn't worth it, in my opinion.

Okay, I have an idea for a poll, but since it doesn't involve me I wouldn't want to be the one starting it. Sarah, would you want too?

    The question is:

    Who is the most unkind

    1-Sarah

    2-VeiledPrincess

    3-Henia

    4-JP

5-Morocco4ever (what the hell, changed my mind)

    6-All of the above

    7-None of the above

In my opinion, it would be a 3-way tie...get them together and it's like a train wreck...and for some very odd reason I find myself reading it all. :help: Maybe I keep expecting a truce to be called, or for someone to at least apologize, or maybe I just like having my 'jaw hitting the floor' expression on my face for most of the day. It amazes me that no one seems to realize that the longer it goes on, the more people get hurt. Where does it get any of them besides stirring more hatred? Just imagine all of the people that have come here for the purpose of sharing their Visa Journey but have been scared off because of the content of these forums? I can't blame them one bit...

  5. To answer guys questions because I am extremely annoyed with this group trend all of a sudden.

    Private,

I am so sorry about what happened. I'm even more sorry for some of the things on this thread. Please take the positive advice and leave the rest where it belongs. I wish there was more I could help with but all that I can do is to let you know I am thinking of you and your fiance. I will also add to keep reminding yourself to not take the negative comments personally.

    Don't give up! (F)

  6. In the guides and from what I've read in previous posts here, a lot more information is required for the interview. But, as I read the scanned document here, is this all that is actually required for the interview:

Beneficiary: passport, birth certificate, 2 face photos and medical exam.

    Then proof of valid relationship.

Is there nothing from the Petitioner that is required?

    I'm confused... :blush::unsure:
