They went through a lawyer to complete the process and had no issues. AOS is normally not recommended with intent but it has been done in extreme cases like this. I am pretty sure Tier 2 will file an expedite on your behalf though and those are normally handled within a couple weeks.

     

    When you call USCIS you request to be transferred to a Tier 2 supervisor. However, if you do not have a specific request they may not transfer you. USCIS goes by their website processing times so as of today if you do not have a NOA1 date of Jan 14 or earlier they will not complete a service request to expedite (unless you have another valid reason). You can request to talk to a supervisor to see if your case is approved but unfortunately they won't be able to assist more than that until the website is updated.

I think they are picking cases to process from each month trying to catch up but that means persons are being left behind. I cannot stress it enough about being patient.

     

    I did one inquiry and that resulted in nothing but I had my hubby call once and that was when they started doing January cases and we were told in about 3 weeks we should hear something and sure enough we did.

     

    I know the wait is terrible and it sucks the life right out of you but you have to focus on other things. I was surprised when I got the email last night. I was busy making plans for ny vacation which officially begins next monday. It is going to happen when you least expect it.

     

    In the mean time start preparing yourself for NVCstage by reading up on It. And you can also start looking up documents you will need. Information is key to getting through this immigration process succesfully.

    Is the uscis app, you can download it in the App Store and play store,  but for iPhone sucks, it's not worth it. It'll only help you for checking your own case and looking up for random cases ! I'm An iphone user so I had to get an old Lg and old Samsung for checking the cases, it works so much better for LG! And its where I received most of the approvals of the day, in Samsung doesn't send the same amount of notifications, are less.
