Thanks for the update. I was told that they "will text" when the flu vaccine becomes available. No text yet..
But I will give them a call to ask when I should go back.

Congratulations!

After 355 days my husband received a letter in the mail stating that our i-130 has been approved. No email or change in our online USCIS account though. I will take any news I can get. This is a good day. Onward to the next step in the process!
I hope others get good news today. I shall update my VJ timeline this week.

Received an email today from USCIS it was a service request for an i-129f which I had already filed my i-130 I wish to God I never would have filed that I 129f my email stated wait 60 days it is being reviewed by an officer, do you think this is why my case is moving so slow in Nebraska I really think it's everybody but I wished I'd never filed that
Hi. We were advised by our lawyer to file the same way as you. Filed the i-130 on 12/6, and the i-129f on 12/21. I recieved notification last Friday that our i-129f was closed because “benefit received through other means”. What did your service request state?
Hang in there.

Small update on my case. Our i-129f got closed today after 320 (approx) days of waiting. Answer was “Case Closed, benefit recieved by other means.” At this time our i-130 has had no movement at 347 days.
Our lawyer recommended that we file both
despite the fact that we had already been married (no need for the i-129f). I can only hope that we are getting close to the i-130 being approved. I know some of you filed similarly so I hope my case gives you some hope.

I was sent a email saying it’s being reviewed because I requested expedite, but they hqve only said if not heard back in 30 days to call them. By 30 days it will have been over 1 yr since I filed and the heartache continues
Hang in there, Sundee! <3

The trend I have noticed the past 3 weeks is Nebraska is cleaning up a lot of Nov/Dec cases before moving on to Feb. Could be why the backlog is continuing to get worse.
Well I hope this is the case! I'm a Dec filer (12/6) and coming close to the anniversary of our filing date. Crossing fingers!

336 days for me. I filed in Nebraska.

Does anyone know if VJ deactivates users if they don't log in after a certain amount of time? Looking at the Nebraska statistics, it looks like there's still a lot of October 2016 folks that never entered a NOA2 date. Wonder if these are folks who just abandoned the website and therefore could be skewing some of the metrics? It looks like Nebraska is processing end of January, however, on the processing time page it says January 03.
Can't speak for the October filers, but pretty sure a bunch of Nov and Dec ones are being skipped in favor of January filers. That's based on chatter here. I'm an early December filer and still no news. That would skew the average.

I called uscis and made a service request for the K3 which I've never done befor only on the i130, she told me K3 is not obsolete, that they have been approved befor the i130, so she offered to do the service request, i130 already had one and to call back on the 25 th if I haven't heard anything, uscis also said K3 does not slow down the process if you filed i130
Thank you for confirming this!

They aren't. Until recently I had no idea that uscis rarely even approved K3 1-129f forms. When I thought that they were being approved I was praying to be transferred but I've learned so much more since July.
Im waiting for my 1-130 approval and have been since Nov 2016. My 129f will be closed out by uscis, so now just want my 1-130 approved like so many others want theirs approved..
Ahh. Thanks for clarifying, Sundee! I am so nervous about this process and it's taking so long.

Nebraska is slow and needs to transfer case loads of 129 F (already married) forms to California as this slowness starts affecting families and raises unnecessary doubts in your spouses mind, so please Nebraska step it up as I need my husband and this is July and still no word. You're destroying families and making them loose hope...
Is anyone else suffering like I am????
This is suffering agony...
Where did you get the info that the 129f's are being sent to California? We have a similar situation but my husband is in NY.

I filed i130 then after the K3, knowing now it's basically obsolete, do you think this is slowing ours down?
I think that's the current suspicion. That, and the fact that we filed in Nebraska is adding more delays than the usual.
No one knows for sure, tbh. 🙁
14 hour layover in Narita Airport from MNL to DFW
in Philippines

Get a lounge pass at the hotel so you can take a nap. You won't need to re-check your bag in Japan. You will re-check once you land at your US entry point, on your way to your connecting domestic flight.
It will help to call ahead/contact their helpdesk regarding travelling in Japan while on your layover. Philippine passport holders need a Visa to enter Japan, and those take time to process. I was stayed overnight in Japan once (due to an engine malfunction in the plane). "Blue passport" holders got quick processing and VIP treatment to the overnight accommodations. It took the airline hours to process the 'one day visa' for passengers who belonged to countries which require visas. Unfortunately, the Philippines is one such country. Best of luck.
