Man, it's been almost 2 months since we got approved and three weeks since our case is ''Ready'' at NVC, still no packet 3 from Belgrade consulate.NVC sent the letter out 10 days ago, as they said in an email they send to us, three weeks after it was ''Ready'' at NVC.
So much time is lost for nothing. And packet 3 might not come next week, so this is really getting me upset. If I get lucky, I will receive packet 3 two months after we got approved.
Had to call the embassy and I was told it takes 2-3 weeks for them to send it from Serbia to Montenegro, so I should call next Friday, but I am wondering why did it take so much time for NVC to send it out and why did they say it is ready on March 22nd and we got the mail that it was sent to Belgrade on April 4th.
So sorry to hear this... They cannot give you any info on the phone or send the instructions via e-mail?
My case switched to ready yesterday, and I was hoping to finally get this over with within the next few weeks. I read online that the Croatian Embassy also sends out packet 3, but was hoping I can get a head start if I call them on Monday. I guess I got too excited, haha.
Have you been able to at least schedule your medical? I hope you'll get the mail soon after all! -

Mine actually went straight from “At NVC” to “Ready”. I checked our case status online at night before going to bed and the status was still at NVC and in the morning around 11AM my time I received packet 3 from my embassy in the email. It went by so fast!
Thank you for the info! Wow, that's amazing, congrats!
I haven't heard from the embassy yet, so I'm planning to call them on Monday. -
Hi guys!
Is it possible for a case to go from AT NVC to READY in a matter of hours? I'm so confused.
I was ready to wait, this has completely blown me away. Just hoping it's not a mistake!

Hi everyone. I just want to say congratulations to everyone that has been approved recently. I have been so stressed out about my own frustrating situation that I failed to congratulate you all. So I’m sorry for that. Thank you also for supporting me through this. I am still going through the NOA2 process but knowing that there are so many friendly, loving people on this thread makes it a little easier for me. It’s nice that you haven’t abandoned us stragglers either.
I have a question that’s been asked a bazillion times no doubt. What’s everyone’s experience in regards to how long it takes to receive a hard copy of the RFE in the post? I know of the general time frame that USCIS gives but obviously we are all aware that they don’t even know what time frame that is.
Ours took 4 days, so hopefully you'll get it soon!
I hope it's something simple and that it'll be fixed quickly, it's horrible what has been going on with your case :/Good luck!

Right now and after 5:00 EST is the best time to call to get right through. Why wait?
Well, I have to wait for the American to wake up
thanks for the tip though!
I basically just get the info and give out commands -

As far as what I have observed most of us did find out our NVC received dates by calling. When you get in contact with the NVC and once it gets reflected from their system, the agent will tell you "We received your case last......."
Great, thank you!
Will be calling today to see!

Jedino sto ja nisam tada imala opciju za potvrde o nekaznjavanju online. Svakako imaj I originale prevedene kad budes selila
Super, hvala ti!

Hi guys! Congrats on everyone's approvals and case numbers and interview dates!
I have a silly question I believe, my apologies in advance. I was just curious about the NVC received dates; do you find out about these when you call or is there a different way? Just got really confused and I'm wondering if I've missed something...

Yes that child is dependent on both of their parents until they are the age of adulthood. You would count the child as long as they are under that age. Should the other parent die or become unfit you could find the child in your home. They are covering that possibility.
Okay, thanks!

If the child in the US is his and the child is under the age of legal independence or under and has not been legally emancipated he counts as fully dependent a child that is over the age of adulthood and still living at home is partially dependent.
So if the petitioner has a child in the US, they need to include them as a dependent in the I-134 even if they didn't claim them as such on the tax return?
Thanks in advance. -
Pozdrav svima!
Thanks in advance! -

I hope the same for Nick. I always tell him to check the mailbox. Lol! Poor guy sends me empty mailbox pics. Geeez! Hope we receive it today.
I loled at this, but at the same time it made me extremely sad.
I hope you do get your approval, and I hope the same for the rest of us!
Now I'm just imagining all the petitioners opening their mailboxes and getting super sad... It breaks my heart. </3

It was merely an observation, not an invitation to debate.
This site really gets my goat at times with the snarky comments. How are there gonna be approvals if USCIS is not even open yet?
One of the people who knows most about the process and helps out literally EVERYONE on the forum just told you that there's no need for sad faces yet as there can't be any approvals at 6:30 in the morning. No snarkiness or anything, just giving information so your comment wouldn't upset other people who come here and don't know they're not even open yet.
Also, this time last Monday, and even this time last Tuesday, there were no updates at all because Monday was a holiday. And this time any other day, we get full day scans from the day before, which we don't have today, as yesterday was a Sunday.
Again, not trying to be mean or anything, I just don't understand why come here and be all negative.
I'm hoping we all get some great news this week guys, stay strong!

Which form did you guys use?
The old I-129F that was good until June 2017. The second time (August) we sent the new one.

On 2/10/2018 at 4:29 PM, John & Rose said:
That is what I thought too. I’m a June 6 filer and nine June 6 filers were rejected because of the form. I assume the date had some float.
Well that's terrifying.
We originally sent our petition on June 1, and weren't sure if it would make it on time as it was the old form. That, as it turns out, was the least of our problems, as the entire package got lost somewhere and is still travelling around the States I guess. Oh well. -
1 hour ago, John & Rose said:
April I believe was the switchover to the new form. I started seeing rejection for wrong forms in May. They reject right away and your NOA1 would be the rejection.
Actually, the new form was out on April 10, but they still accepted the old from until June 9. At least that's what the old forms said.

So does this mean there's already approvals and RFE's for August? I feel like this confused me more than anything else I've ever read on the K1...

@forke looks like the dates are pushed back to two more weeks
Oh no!
It does look like there are more approvals every day though, I hope it'll go back to beginning of January like it was at first.13 hours ago, Dorena27 said:For any of you that received RFE'S. Just curious as to when you track it on the USCIS website, did it tell you that a Request for Additional Information had been mailed to you prior to receiving the hard copy? Still haven't received our hard copy although the text read as follows: You case was received and Receipt# is listed . Official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) to follow in mail. Received that text message on Aug 31 and still to date have not received letter in mail.
I don't think anyone from August has received an RFE yet, but from what I've read in other threads, you should be able to see it online before the hard copy arrives.
As for your NOA1 hard copy, when you check your case status it should tell you the date by which you're supposed to receive it, and what number to call if it doesn't. I hope this helps and good luck!

I've done this process before and I have never seen TOUCHED anywhere on the USCIS website page. Do you see that? Can you send a screen shot if you do?
May will likely start getting worked later next week.
Today there have been ZERO approvals for any VJ members. 9/12 also had ZERO approvals.
Still have a few hours left in the work day at CSC though.
Oh, sorry, I read that term somewhere on the forum so I thought it was a frequently used one. It's the LAST UPDATED date when you check your status, and it basically means someone was doing something for your case, even though it doesn't necessarily mean you're any closer to being approved. That's what I read in one of the threads, I apologize if the info isn't 100% correct.
Mine for example still shows the date my petition was received, and hasn't been updated since, so I believe my case is currently sitting in a box. Which makes sense since I filed in August.I was just wondering if May petitions are already being worked on, that's why I asked.
With 2 approvals and an RFE yesterday you gotta be getting close to your approval though! Good luck!

So actually when my fiance called them 2 days ago they said our case is pending and that they start working on each case since the NOA1 date. No signs of RFE but we have to wait...They said also CSC is overloaded with cases since all of them were transferred there.
And yes I am checking our status several times a day
Good luck to you too! Seeing Croatia in the forum warmed my heart. We are both with my fiance born in Bulgaria.
Oh, really! Wow, haven't seen a single Croatian person commenting ANYWHERE yet!
Nice to sorta meet you!
I hope you get your approval soon!

Hi May filers,
Day 140 here. Date received 27th of April. NOA1 - 1st of May.
We called twice CSC and submitted yesterday an e-enquiry but I am not sure we will get some reply
I hope soon they will start working on our cases
Hi there! Have you checked your status on the USCIS page? Has your petition been "touched" since NOA1?
I'm an August filer, but I'm really curious about the whole process. Since April 27 got approved the other day, I thought maybe they started working on some May petitions already.
And good luck! I hope you'll be one of the next approvals!

Hopefully we both get it in December or sooner! The VJ timeline estimate keeps pushing us back!
Yea, I've noticed... It looks like they should be done with April soon though, and last year in September and October approvals took waaaaayyyy less, so I'm hoping they'll catch up!
We'll see how it goes. I'm still hoping for December!

I understand, I'm sorry it took that long in any case.
I didn't know you have to go all the way there for the interview! That must really suck, I'm sorry. No wonder it takes so long for your package 3 to arrive, too. Good luck with the rest of the process, I hope it picks up soon!
