    Hello all,

Did anyone receive their revised i751 extension (from 18 to 24 months) letter for pending petitions filed before September 2021? Our extension letter will be expiring in Jan 2022, so not sure if we should just wait for USCIS to send the revised letter, or contact someone.

Our fingerprints were taken in July and we are still waiting for USCIS to schedule the interview.

    thanks

Based on my own experience, I think if you havent gotten your extension it's most likely that your case is ready for the interview. Friend of mine who filed around the same time I did got her extension but no fingerprints yet. We think her case is not ready yet for interview/approval so that's why she was sent that extension and I wasnt, given my fingerprints had already been taken.

But, I dont want to give false info here, so I'd just try calling USCIS maybe to see about that. Hopefully it means you're almost done!

  2. Hi guys!! Just had my interview and we were approved! The lady who did it said that she didnt understand why our case wasnt automatically approved for the card without the interview, given the amount of evidence we sent out... hahaha oh well, at least there was no drama to it!

It was very chill, she went over form I-751 with both me and my husband and asked how we met. She also got some copies of our DL's and updated paperwork (such as bill, statements) that we had since we sent over our documents. She said I should be getting a confirmation that my case was approved within the next day or so (it could be within hours) and recommended that I started filling out for citizenship because they have caught up with the backlog from the pandemic.

Very relieved and now Im just waiting for my case to update so I can finally breathe a sigh of relief!

Hi! I got a similar RFE but I doubt its official nature. How does your RFE look like? Mine doesn't have my application number of a bar code. It looks like a letter anyone can type (it's not on that special paper etc.) and doesn't have any official marks (stamps, signature, bar code). Also, for affidavits mine says that I should add personal information of those providing the letters such as SSN number and copies of their documents.

Also, the RFE comes from a different office than the one where my application was supposed to be.

Thanks and good luck with your application.

Oh wow, that seems a bit weird. Mine has my application number, bar codes and everything. It doesnt ask for SSN of affidavits as well, very strange they'd ask that. My suggestion is to maybe reach out to USCIS about it.

It comes from the office my case was transferred to. Did you get a notification prior to this that your case was transferred?

@izavox and @TN_Meow my ROC journey completed! Received my 10 yrs card today! Took 8 months 2 days to approve my application without any interview. I hope you guys get it soon.

Super congrats @See7!! Im so sorry for the delay in replying, I've been so busy with work but as soon as I saw the notification on my email I got so happy for you!

i'm about to send my evidences in a few weeks, just waiting for a couple more documents we want to add and hopefully it's a done deal :D

    Hi Everyone,

I hope you'll are doing well!

I know it's too early to start N-400 forum for June 2021 filers but I as we are almost 3 months away from June so I thought to start N-400 June 2021 page.

Please follow/comment/discuss about your June 2021 N-400 filing. Thank you.

    Nice!! Thank you!

why dont you make a list of what you sent .... maybe we can come up with ideas. What exactly did the RFE say?

Thank you! So the letter said:

"You must provide the following information in order for us to make a final decision on your case.

Submit evidence that proves the marriage was valid and it was not entered into for immigration purposes. You must submit evidence of a shared life together, and it should cover the time period from July 2017 (when we got married) to the present"

Then they list the evidences we may provide that were listed in the form I-751 that we were supposed to send. I'm gonna list them here and write what I sent from each:

    - Documents showing joint ownership of property: My husband and I live in a house he and his brother bought before we got married, so my name is not on the mortgage. Before we got married, we made a 5 year plan to buy our own house but 2020 happened and covid, so my husband got financially hit and selling the house (as well as buying a house) at this time just wasnt feasible, so we moved to 2022. Should we explain this in a letter? I didnt send the house deed this time around (I sent it when I applied for AOS) because my name was not on it. I believe that was one of my mistakes.

    - Documents showing shared finances and obligations (such as joint bank accounts), utility bills, joint income taxes, joint insurance policies, etc.: This one was the bulk of our documentation. We have 6 joint accounts for different purposes (one opened when we got married), joint taxes since we got married, car insurance ( I started showing up on the car insurance after I was able to renew my driver's license, when I got my EAD, so it was a few months after we got married), health insurance, and phone bill.

    - Birth certificate of children born: no kids yet. We plan on start having kids after we buy our own house.

    - Pictures of wedding and other events: This one I sent only 4 because I didnt think it was going to be a big deal. I sent 1 of our wedding, 1 with family, and 2 of trips we made during the 2 years we were married. I'll definitely send more this time around.

    - Sworn affidavits: I didnt send any because, with the amount of join financial documentation, I didnt think it was going to be a big deal. I guess it was a big mistake on my end. I will definitely send it this time as well.

    - We also have a car but, unfortunately, my name is not on the lease. It was a perfect storm situation. My husband's old car (which predated our marriage) was on its last days back in 2018 but we were saving up to buy a new one and hoping the car would last us until 2019. However, late november 2018 the car officially died down and Black Friday sales were still happening so my husband was able to get another car with a super discount. The problem was that I wasnt in town when this happened (had to go to Brazil) so he got the car while I was away. We do have text conversation of this decision.

    My question is:

    - For the car ownership and house, should we just explain the situation through a letter? We will send the deed for the house this time, even if my name is not in it.

    - For the car purchase, should we send the screenshots of our conversation where we discussed the purchase?

    - My husband and I are thinking of listing their requests for evidence and explaining each one, kind of like I did here. Is this a good approach?

One thing that striked me in the letter is the "in order for us to make a final decision on your case". I've never received a RFE before this, so i'm not sure if this approach is common but it makes me wonder if the case it's on its final days of approval? Haha one would hope.

One interesting tidbit, I know this is long already haha, but a friend of mine, who was also on the ROC situation, got a RFE and while she was gathering the paperwork, she received the 10 year GC in the mail :D Super strange hahaha

Thank you so much for the help and so sorry for the long message!!

  6. Hi guys! Wondering if somebody else got the same. I got a RFE today, asking for more evidence. I'd say, aside from the Affidavits (which I didnt do because my husband and I have so many joint accounts together and I thought the affidavits weren't that necessary from what I was gathering) and not a lot of photos, I'm not sure what else they want as evidence. I sent them so much stuff, I'm really puzzled at this request.

I guess I'll send those again and add more photos and the affidavits this time around, but I'm really surprised at the letter considering how much stuff I sent. Anyways, I guess back to work on that again haha

@izavox and @TN_Meow got an update - January 23, 2021 Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken. I am not sure if they used my biometric info from I-485 as I never got biometric appointment for I-751.

That's great @See7 So sorry it's been so long to reply! Got so busy with work! Fantastic, looks like your case is moving along!

I havent gotten any update yet since my case was transferred.

Tracked Case online and I see this..(maybe this transfer is due to workload balance)

On December 30, 2020, we transferred your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC XXXXXXXXXX, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by January 29, 2021, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

@izavox or @TN_Meow do you guys have any update on your cases?

I got this notice yesterday as well @See7

@izavox or @TN_Meow do you guys have any update on your cases?

That's so interesting! Let us know what it says on your notice. Mine still stuck on the same July 3 notice. I've reached out for missing mail but I always get that the volume of cases is causing the delay. So frustrating :(

  10. Hey guys! I'd like to get a few tips from you on how to reach a Tier 2 agent on USCIS :D  I dont know how but last time I called (early October) about  my Biometrics Letter, I was able to be connected to a live agent saying that I should receive my letter by October 27th and if I dont, to contact them again.

I didnt receive it and now I'm trying to talk to them again but it's always the automatic assistant (who  can't help me in this situation) and when I repeat saying I need to speak to a live agent after  we went through all the options, the assistant says something like 'looks like I cant help you. Im going to disconnect this call' and the call ends.

Any idea on what words I need to say in order to get to a Tier 2? I  dont recall being this  difficult the first time. Do you  have any tips @See7 ? :)

Hi guys, I called last night and was on hold for an hour!! for USCIS to give me a ridiculous nothing pretty much. They told me it would take approx 30 days to get a response regarding the MSC filing and why my husband still hasnt received biometrics. They told me that they were backed up and that they dont know when the file would get transferred. I basically got no update guys :( They told me that if we dont get any notice within the next 30 days, we need to call back.

That is so odd :(  were you able to talk to a Tier 2 agent? They usually are able to provide more information on your case (not super easy to get to them though, but it is possible).

The whole wait is excruciating. Did your husband receive the extension letter at least?

    16 hours ago, See7 said:

I called USCIS today, after 90 minutes of wait got an agent. Did verification formalities after which I requested agent to schedule for a biometric appointment based on conversation I did with the previous agent in mid of September. Well, they know when we contacted them :)

The agent helped to schedule biometric appointment by submitting a request (got a referral ID) to the field office and I was told that the target date for appointment will be in last week of October and I will get email confirmation from the field office and an appointment letter.

    Yay!! Great news!! @See7!

@izavox I would suggest to call USCIS support line and tell them - it's been more than 90 days since you filed your I-751 and you haven't received biometric appointment letter yet thus you were wondering if biometric will be required. Also, there is no harm to ask them if your application is at local ASC :) and when you should expect biometric appointment letter!

    I hope this helps!!

I called them as well yesterday (after almost 1 hour of listening to their stand-by song which is now stuck in my head haha) and they said my ASC started processing biometrics as of July 27th and I should expect my biometrics letter by October 27th and if I dont get it by them to give them a call again.

I love that they gave us somewhat of a specific answer as opposed to the online SR where it's vaguely "things are slow, we're sorry".

Did you receive yours @See7 since then?

  13. On 9/24/2020 at 4:06 PM, See7 said:

After a long wait time (around 50 minutes) on the USCIS contact center number I was able to talk to a very helpful lady. She confirmed that my case (WAC#) is at the local field office (OAK ASC) and they are clearing backlog at the moment and I should get biometric appointment letter before Oct 13th. She also asked to callback and request for level 2 agent to schedule biometric appointment in case I do not receive appointment letter by Oct 13th.

That is awesome news @See7!! So do you think it's worth it trying to talk to a level 2 agent? I've been debating that for a few days but worried I'd get the same response as my online SR (which was the same one that you shared with us here) :)

** For all the filers who are patiently waiting for their biometric appointment......below is a response from USCIS on my service request

    ***************************************************************************************************************************************************
The status of this service request is:

On 08/29/2020, you contacted USCIS concerning your I-751 to notify us that you have not received your biometrics appointment notice. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC). On March 18, 2020, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has suspended all biometrics appointments. As of the date of this letter, some ASC offices have re-opened in a limited capacity. However, not all ASC locations have re-opened fully.

Please visit our website for possible USCIS office closures: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/uscis-office-closings .

As of March 30, 2020, USCIS May reuse previously submitted biometrics for certain form types including I-751(PRC). This Management Directive is limited to the period during the COVID-19 pandemic and will automatically expire on Sept. 1, 2020, unless expressly extended by the USCIS deputy director for policy.

If you do not receive a notice of action regarding your case, please note that when USCIS again resumes normal operations, USCIS will automatically reschedule Application Support Center (ASC) appointments due to the office closures. If you do not receive a new appointment notice by mail within 90 days from the time when the ASC offices re-open, call 800-375-5283.

All ASC closures are posted on www.uscis.gov .  For up to date closure information, visit the USCIS Office Closures page.

Please also note that receipt of this letter does not guarantee that your case will be able to be adjudicated using previously captured biometrics and that processing of your case may in fact require an ASC appointment once the offices re-open.

    ***************************************************************************************************************************************************

Thank you for the update @See7 !! I wish all ROC people would already get their biometrics from AOS considering the circumstances, but my take is that this will take a while. Nothing more we can do :(

    @izavox Sure, happy to help!

    Go to Non-Delivery of Notice @ https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do;jsessionid=7374B454EC16D43F15225333351BC16B?sroPageType=ndn&entryPoint=init

Fill in all the details then under 'Notice Type' select following.

    a) What notice was not received?

    Either Appointment or Other

    b) Provide Last Action on Your Case

In this section you can let them know that you received I-797C for I-751 (provide WAC#) on MM/DD/YYYY and it's been X days you haven't received biometric appointment letter. Thus you are requesting them to provide an update on biometric letter.

Now, wait time begins.....your SR will have "Expect a reply by X days". I would suggest to wait till that day and then call the following day and be ready with WAC# and SR# to share with them.

You're awesome @See7!! Super super helpful and I opened my SR. I wish i could spotlight your post so everybody interested in opening a service request for the biometrics letter can see those steps too!

  16. Seems like a lot of us are on the same boat :( MSC and WAC specifically. Could it be the USPS delays? I'm honestly not sure at this point.

@See7 could you let us know how you opened the SR? I tried opening for Missing Mail (I might be wording it wrong here haha) but it just doesn't seem like I can target my SR towards Biometrics. I'm positive I'm doing something wrong. I've also thought about calling USCIS and speaking to an agent but they're really pushing us towards solving those issues online or through the automatic messages over the phone and it's kind of frustrating sometimes.

Has there been any progress for June or maybe prior WAC applicants?

I'm a WAC applicant and haven't gotten my biometrics yet. Have you received yours? From what I saw her, usually people received the letter saying they'll use the AOS biometrics for this one about a week after getting their NOA but so far I haven't gotten anything. Not sure if it's the delay by mail or if it's something with WAC :(

  18. 21 hours ago, mnk said:

It came today!! Finally! That is a big relief.

The Received date is 6/29 and the NOA1 notice date is 8/04

I called USCIS on 7/29, and on 8/04 I got an email confirming that I made a inquiry over the phone. It showed my SR number, and stated that they were resending the receipt notice.

That both of us had receipt notices supposedly sent on 7/08 from CSC that mysteriously disappeared in the post does seem a little fishy to me.

But it doesn't matter anymore! Now we can wait not worry about this for 18 months.

Yay!!! So happy and relieved for you!

Right? At some point, I thought that maybe I'll get my original sent to me very late, but now I dont even think it's coming. Glad we opened that SR and got it anyways.

Hoping now for the Biometrics, not sure if WAC receipts are also having a delay with that one as well, but I'm noticing people are receiving them about 10 days after getting the notice, so who knows haha
