    Thank you!

I am actually still trying to figure out but i am but I am kind of scared as I don’t know the area...so you by chance know anything about jersey city?

Hey @Naes sorry for the delay, check your inbox. @streanor is right there are some cool bars and it's very vibrant, just depends on which section of the city you are in. Liberty State Park is always nice and has one of the best views of NYC aross the water, but not all places are the best in my opinion.

Hey! It is so nice to see you cause I was actually searching for someone from NJ! I am about to move to NJ and field office says Newark office after I change my address!

Please keep me updated too :) It is really exciting when you find someone from your field office getting some progress!

Hi @Naes, I thought I wrote this earlier but I guess it didn't go through. Any updates I get I always will post, so keep on following and I will be doing the same for you. Sidenote, we were actually in the K1 visa forum for August too and you were such a wealth of information in there, hopefully I can return the favor. :)

Safe travels to the East Coast, welcome to New Jersey and I hope you & your family enjoy the Garden State. :)

But thats the point, youve sent all your paperwork, you got EAD and AP. So thats it, green card its just a card, same as AP doesnt garantee anything. You shouldnt be worry about anything while you waiting for your GC, just let it go. Once it will pass normal timeframe, then yes, you can start thinking about it. If they loose something, thats gonna be theirs fault, even if you will have to submit paperwork again, you will dont have to wait again that long wait, they should take you right after.

We are happy that ive got EAD and AP, so i can live here normally, having a job, travel, etc. Once they ready, im glad for them. The worst part of this process when we wanted to be on harry, it was visa process, as we wanted to be next to each other asap, now we are together, i have all documents that i need (as i said before "for normal life") and just forgot abour uscis for sometime.

THIS PART IS TO EVERYONE, NOT DIRECTLY TO YOU:

Some people are crazy even to wait for a letter in mailbox. You got approved for AP or EAD, you see this update, so just patiently wait for a letter, we all know that letters goes about 10 days in avarage, so just wait. The worst part that people dont even read previous comments from other users, just lazy i guess, but instead of asking so simple questions over and over again, just scroll feed and read, sometimes you can even find answers for questions that you will have in future. Some people still waiting for even status update, and you going crazy with this stupid questions " when i will get the letter and card" - never, that was just a joke update on uscis page. Really, people, be patient. All goes as it should be. All in our lives as it should be.

You are already with your loved one, so just enjoy your life together, once something change, you will get your "happy letter" in mailbox and email.

    Peace and live to everyone.

P.S. and yes, you are really welcome to share your stories of your interview experience, your process experience, all what people really should know about the process.

Thanks for the peace and life but honestly your kind of response is why I rarely post on here, only if I have a question I can't seem to find an answer to. I was just happy to see someone from Newark getting an interview that was around the same time I filed. We went through a lot with the process, like I am certain so many others have. So sorry I got excited to see that they worked on a date around ours.

I am not sure why my post warranted such a response, I was just genuinely excited to see the Newark, NJ field office moving when I know from close friends and relatives how daunting the experience can be. I am excited and eager just like many others to really establish many aspects of our lives, but unfortunately have to sit and wait for my husband to obtain his greencard in irder to do so. Peace and blessings to you too, but please be mindful of telling others how they show, act, react and feel. We are all in the same boat, but have different feelings about what we are going through.

But why you on hurry with your green card. As for me, i prefer them to take a bit more then 2 years to process our file and get already 10 years green card, than to have interview now and then having headache after 2 years again with the same process and interview for removal conditions... just relax, get your work authorisation, your travel document and enjoy your life with your husband/wife. Less headache and less money to spend.

Actually, I'm the K1 visa petitioner (born in raised here in NJ). So for me I don't need to rush to get the green card, I'm a US citizen. I have not had a lot of good experiences with the process, ie loss of paperwork, at embassy and here, so I rather the process hurry along. I'm definitely enjoying my spouse but like many others can probably attest, sometimes you just want to get them out your hair even if it's just for 2 years.

The tracking app said that my interview was scheduled:)))) my field office is Newark , nj. Does anyone knows how long it takes till I have the appointment letter ?

Not sure how long, but very happy for you. Newark, NJ is my field office too and waiting for an interview can go much longer than what they have posted. I know from personal experience my best friend and my cousin both waited over 2 years, respectively. Here's hoping my file miraculously lands on their desk sometime soon. :) In the meantime, good luck with your interview.

    Hi guys :)

how long did It take after the ead approval to have the card in the mail ?

Hi, it took about 5 days for the card to be changed to "card has been mailed" for us. After the initial approval app update, the status changed to card is being produced and stayed there for 2 days, after those 2 days it changed to in the mail. However, the status wasn't accurate. When I called to get tracking info the day it changed, they couldnt provide it because in fact it wasn't shipped yet. A day later though I called again and got the tracking, took 3 days in the mail for us. So in total about 7 business days from EAD approval to Card in hand.

  7. Hello all, sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am just unsure, so I thought I might ask here. Our status for the I-485 application is " Case is ready to be scheduled", our local field office is Newark, NJ and the currebt processing times are 10.5 to 21.5 months. My question is, does the 10.5 to 21.5 month processing time start after we have put in the initial application or after our case goes to "Ready to be scheduled" status? Again, sorry if this is a stupid question, but we were unsure. Thanks for any replies.

  8. Hello all, just an update. Hope this helps with figuring out how long after you receive approval notice, that you may receive the card. Good luck to all those still waiting, I hope you receive your card soon. By the way, I-131 (AP) never updated on site, but I did get approval notices in the mail for I-765 and I-131 respectively, and the card is a combo card. My timeline has been updated already too.

    Received Date 9/10/2018

    Approved Date 2/15/2019

Approval Notice received in Mail 2/19/2019

    Card received in hand 2/23/2019

My case status for my AOS has now updated to Case Is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview!!

However my AP and EAD still say Case Was Received

    Anyone in the same scenario

    141 days since packet submittal

Hello, I think most of us are in the same boat. We filed 9/10/18, NOA1 9/14 (I have to adjust on my timeline) and we just received Case Ready to Be Scheduled update, haven't heard anything about the EAD/AP after we requested an expedite nearly 2 months ago due to a job offer. Unfortunately, the job offer has since expired and we are still waiting.

    hi guys😀

I am a September filer as well. anybody here who is living in new jersey ?

Hello, I rarely post on this forum, but I watch it like a hawk.We are NJ residents and September filers. Only just got our "Ready to schedule interview" update last week. Also applied for EAD expedite based on Job offer, but after talking with a Tier 2 rep on January 22nd, he said Expedites weren't guaranteed based on job offer abd we should really have our EAD/AP combo card by mid February, no later than that. So that was the silver lining, hoping he's right.

Not a bother ever! Don't think like that. We're all family here! :) however I see your question  has been answered. Yes it was down. I just wanted to add that first part :))

Cut it out guys... If you think that's so bad consider looking at your own actions in the mirror by continuously poking fun at someone. Not cool. I cannot stand by this and say nothing. It's bullying. If you think your point was correct then act like the good guy, and LET IT GO. I understand your concern but Imo neither is guilty of something... so don't scoop down to the level you think the other is... which they and you aren't to even start with, making only you the bad guy. We are all here just as frustrated as everyone else... All trying our best to remain sane through this process. Give eachother a break and a pet in the back and let's all be nice to eachother pls...

    Ugh...

Thanks @Kristi&Luigi, I'm always a bit social networking sites shy, so always a little apprehensive to write. Despite all this, I follow the August & July filers extensively and I'm very appreciative of all the work @Naes does. Good luck to you and all on here, hopefully everyone will have a NOA2 in hand soon. :)

  12. Hello,

Sorry to bother everyone on a Sunday, but is the "Check Case Status"  on the USCIS site down for others today as well? I don't post here, but I love reading all the encouraging posts from others. I was eager to read that August 15th cases have been touched, as I'm an August 9th filer. Just wanted to check online since I haven't been able to do so since Wednesday. Anywho, thanks in advance to whoever responds and I wish the best of luck to all filers. :)

  13. Hello Everyone,

So glad to have found this website and forum. I filed my I-129F on August 7th, they received it the 9th (confirmed via tracking from UPS) and received an email saying it is going to CSC on August 11th.  I'm nervous, anxious, and a bunch of other things too much too list. Anyway, glad to be apart of the August filers club and I wish everyone a smooth journey to their nuptials. :)
