Maybe, like the NVC, USCIS was closed due to weather today.   Temperatures were in the 80's in Southern California.   I think they all went to the beach.  LOL!

I feel you, and I'm sorry if I agitated you.
 
I had a real rough go of it last week. I cried at my desk at work a few times and felt like things were going to fall apart if we didn't hear anything back soon. Andy didn't adjust to being back in the UK very well, so almost the entire month of January was very much me feeling like I couldn't help him, and just generally being heartbroken while everyone else was getting their approvals.
... 
And they kept going right past us. Every day he'd ask me if we were approved, if I had any mail, if I had gotten the text. Nothing. People at the end of July were complaining/cheering about how they hadn't been approved yet, but here I was, a July 6 NOA1 that felt like they'd forgotten about me. I still do. I feel like I screwed us over by calling USCIS and asking for a supervisor. 
 
I still feel horrible about everything, but I'm lucky. He'll be here in 9 days. Maybe we'll get to open the envelope together, if a miracle doesn't happen before then.
 
I guess, at the end of it all, my point is that you're definitely not alone in your misery. My stupid optimism exists if only as a defense mechanism. If I am focusing on how happy I am, I can't POSSIBLY focus on how effed over I feel right now.

Having a frustrating mental day. Feels like we're so close but so far. Fearing that we're an anomaly.

@JSCGPV I couldn't find the scan... but I checked didn't see backdated approvals at the moment.

but no it does not mean they skipped anything! We saw cases in July 31.
just because the next day is touched does not mean they skipped something.
 
they might have skipped a case "for now" but that's not skipping a date.

Hi guys. We are from July 31 and there is a case of July 31 that says it was received at the local office just this month. What can it mean? we still do not know if it's us, but we'd like to get out of doubt.

Look what I got today!!!!
USCIS still shows as Received, but I got my Approval in the mail.
July 25th NOA1 and January 31st NOA2.
 
Had to wait and tell my fiance first, before I posted here.

That we have no clue, but looks like an update of transfer. (Also believe me it is not an ordinary update, and no one wants a transfer- it is not usually a good omen)

After 214 days..we got approved! 

So we dont upset the others here...
 
Today is our day 241.  Monday will be 244.  We have a friend in May who is in the same boat.  They are 253 today and Monday it will be there 256.  I am not saying this to scare anyone.  We know we are anomalies.  I am saying this so you dont lose track of what is really important.  
 
Hold your loved ones close.  Dont get caught up in the process.  June has lost a few great couples due to stress.  Relax and plan those BBQs.  They will happen.  It is too darn cold here right now to bring Rose and the kids anyway.  They will experience that soon enough.  Smile.  Tell your partner you love them and keep that feeling strong in your heart.  We will all be through this and there will be a huge BBQ somewhere and everybody is invited.  We are all family now!
Rose being from Pateros (where it was invented) has access to some really great balut.

Any scans today?! I'm so excited for everyone who's NOA2 has arrived. So much excitement in the air. For everyone still waiting, HOLD ON! Your day is at hand. I just want to encourage you, through your trials and through the challenges of being separated from your loved one, under the surface, strength and perseverance are growing. We are july 31st too! Counting the days makes me so frustrated!

Another July 20 mail only approval today...I am very happy for them but they filed 44 days after us June 6 filers.  My petition has not been assigned yet... Day 238

So happy!!! We got our approval in the mail today!! Therefore I can say I’m just an overthinker! Haha Noa1 july20 here 🙏
