JackUrban got a reaction from obtusifolium in August 2017 AOS Filers
Hey guys, so I have “good” news.
Yesterday I called the USCIS hotline and talked to an officer which told me there is still no update on my EAD. Then I asked about my AOS status and she said that they are currently working on cases of January 2017 so I shouldn’t expect a status change soon.
Fortunately tonight even tho I haven’t received any update about my expedite for my EAD, my status for my AOS has changed directly from “fingerprint fee received” to “interview scheduled”.
My interview is gonna be in 4 weeks. I’m super exited and nervous at the same time.
I made an appointment at the local office a few weeks ago to get more information about my EAD expedite which would be tomorrow morning.
Here is my question. Should I still go to the appointment and find out if I get an EAD card or just cancel it and wait for the interview and the real GC?
Does anyone else who is adjusting from B1/B2 have a scheduled interview already?

Same here Jack, regarding the expedite process message said completed from October 23, so I raised a SR it says not yet assigned. I called Immigration Officer she said I should hear back from them by Thursday and if I dont hear anything I should call back.

Mine did too. We went to the office before the first one expired. She asked for my ssn and I said that right now I don’t have one but we are in the process fort he green card. Then she said she’s gonna give us a regular DOD card and I have to come in as soon as I have my SSN so they can put it in the system. My new DOD card expires 2021.

You're welcome. It was very easy and simple. Didn't take more than 10 minutes. They take a photo which is gonna be your green card picture (so try to look good, I messed mine up... 😒), signature and fingerprints. That's all. Oh and you have to fill out a form with your weight, height, hair and eye color.

JackUrban, thank you for the infos... Now I don't know what to fill in my weight, because I'll be 8 months pregnant at my biometrics appointment... I'm going to ask them if I should write my normal weight or my current pregnancy weight... which are really different hehehe

You can't change the adress at the bio appointment. I tried that too. You can do it online or call the number on your NOA's

I just came home from my bio appointment. Everyone was really friendly. They took a picture (which is gonna be on the green card, and i hate it :/ ), signature and fingerprints of every finger. Everything took not longer than 5 minutes.
Now the real waiting begins.... I hope it goes smooth for all of us.

If your spouse is in the military and you have tricare prime you can also go to the medical center and get the medical exam there. There you also don’t have to pay any fees which means $500 less to spend.
