Question: our interview was approved on Friday at the embassy.

Now I am a bit unclear about whether we receive an email from DHL to say our Visa is available for pick-up...?

Also, our case on the CEAC website just went to Issued today. 

When can I expect to hear something and how will I hear about it?

Not a bad idea, I would also suggest doing any flight looking with your browser in privacy mode. If it is blocking cookies at the time it will make it so they don't play with increasing pricing. Sometimes they move up rates if they see you looking a lot.

I know my Fiance always seems to use Cheapoair for her flight searches. It is how we found a reasonable price for her flight to Delhi from here back in February. It was only 10 days out and I want to say ~900-1000 which isn't bad for half way around the globe.

How do I put the browser on privacy mode?

I was aiming for flights home for Fiance ~ 14 days after interview. You should probably be able to find a decent deal for a one way at the end of October. Might look around the 27th or 31st. Tuesday is cheaper at least inside the US for flights often.

I am oddly and obsessively browsing through Google Flights to see how much flights are about 10 days from today...as an example of the price range we may be looking at..?

Interview date: October 13th.

Looks like it typically takes between 7-10 days for Visa to arrive via DHL if it is approved

I was *ideally* hoping to make it home before November---so, do you all think it is possible if our Visa got to us on October 20th or something (ideally)- would we be able to find a plane ticket that would not cost like more than 600$ one way. I talked to someone who found a one-way flight for about $400 just a few days after Visa was in hand. Ahhh, what do you all think?

People with K1 Visas can buy one way tickets into the US, right?

Our interview is October 13th- and I was just talking to a friend who did the K1 Visa a long time ago. She was just emphasizing to me in our phone call that the K1 Visa is not a guarantee- that we could get told No. I started crying on the phone..and the comment really made me feel down. I wonder if there's a percentage chance our Visa will be accepted- and what percent possibility it could get rejected.

Our interview is scheduled for October 13th! We are trying to decide if we can buy tickets before the interview for October 24th! What do you guys think? I really want to hear the word "yes"

Our case arrived at the embassy yesterday and on the NVC website it said Ready..

I went ahead and submitted our DS160 and emailed the embassy. Another K1 Peruvian filer told me it might take a couple days for them to respond to the email. 

I hope they respond!!

As our Russian friend Tatiana said, pretty normal. Our case was created a Thursday too, and the status changed to "In Transit" at some point of Tuesday evening (I was sleeping ).

Sometimes it takes a week, and still normal. So start planning for the next steps while waiting, everything will be fine

Hey! What time do you think they sent it? Like was it in the afternoon or evening?

... i can tell about our - it took one week from getting a nvc #  to "Ready" status , from 5th to 11th September,

(from 8th September to 11th - has been  "In Transit" ) on 15th September my fiance got email from the embassy,

it may take 1- 2 days of difference for beneficiary's country, i guess

My case arrived at the NVC on Thursday- and then I got my case number on Friday. I'm checking the case, and it says it is still "At NVC"

Is it possible there's a technical glitch and they actually did send our case, but the website isn't showing that?

Or is this the normal amount of time to wait for the case to say "Ready"...

Hey relax! 😊You are only going to be needing the ds160 for the interview and nothing else. So even if you get the case status ready for nvc, you won't need ds160 unless you are planning to schedule interview in a week so that makes you still have 7 days to finish. I suggest you go to a place where internet connection is good. And good luck it's a lot to fill up actually 😊

Sorry I'm freaking out because right now I have a good internet connection- but every time I go to try to fill out the DS160 it times me out after the first page!!

I'm worried that Monday my case will say "Ready" and the webpage still won't have let me fill out the application!

Could you or anyone else go to the DS160 website and just check if it's possible to Start a New Application--

or is it just my computer...?

The DS160 form isn't loading either...I want to "Start a new Application" and it's not letting me...

Dear friends,

Question! I received our NVC case number this morning- checked the website, and our case status said just that the NVC had received our application. I wanted to check again to see if it was ready, but our case status page doesn't appear.

I also tried to start filling out the DS160 and wasn't able to finish...but didn't copy down our application ID number. The website won't let me start another application! I'm on hold with the NVC right now.

Ok, so I got the NOA2 on Sept. 5..when oh when can I start calling the NVC? I was going to wait until Monday, but maybe it's already there! What do you guys think?

Thank you thank you for ALLLL your kind responses to the post I had put up about the NOA2. That was awesome and made me feel soooo good. 

From here, it sounds like I wait about 10-14 days before I start calling the NVC for my case number.

Packet 3 is finished. I'm just now completely obsessing over the documents I sent my fiancee. I sent them out on August 28th and they have been in Australia for 2 days now, but no update through USPS and fiancee didn't receive them yet. So, I get to stress about that now. Yippie.  Now, we wait for Packet 4 and here's to hoping the papers get there before Packet 4. I still don't know if we are scheduling the interview ourself, or if one is being scheduled for us since we got expedited. I guess we'll see and find out. I just called the USCIS for the first time and the Tier 2 person just said- "Call back in 2 weeks once it's been 5 months, your petition isn't ready yet." I tried to be nice with him, and he was a little brusque and actually hung up on me. Do you all think if I call back once it's officially been 5 months, they'll be able to be a bit more helpful?

Do you all know if it's possible to get someone else to call the uscis. Since I'm in Peru with my fiance, I can't call the 1-800 number.
