I've managed to sort this and get the application submitted today  

Hi all, 

I was wondering if it was just me who was having issues with the photo side of things at the end of the DS-160. 

Will I be allowed to take a selfie (in the correct position) from my phone and transfer it to my PC so that it can be edited that way by the crop tool, which seems to be having issues with Google Chrome. 

I did have some photo's from the visa function of the photo machine in the UK but this doesn't appear to be big enough for the upload...

How did people do theirs?

Just so you're aware, ours was approved today and this has been updated online.

Hi all, 

We're at Day 95 now, it is seriously hard work, waiting and praying there isn't going to be some RFE or any other form of delay but this does take forever and it is soul destroying. I know I've put on some weight and stuff during this whole process because it is so draining. 

In January I have decided I am going over to see my fiancee for 6 weeks, that cannot come soon enough for sure.

Hope you're all doing well. 

Our timeline was originally set for January 1st to 3rd, now we're set at 23rd - 26th, it's certainly a not going how I'd like. 

The waiting is an absolute killer. 

Thankfully my other half is coming here to visit in 2 days for 10 days and I am going out there on Jan 12th 2018 for 6 weeks to visit and see her family, hopefully that will be more than enough time passed for the NOA2 to arrive.

Hi all, 

I'm going away on Jan 12th until Feb 28th to visit my fiancee, I've noticed that I am unlikely to receive my NOA 2 until January 10th - 15th at this point. 

My new query is about the DS-160, do I need to send my passport with the document evidence to consulate, or will a copy of this do? I've noticed a few posts state original and others mention a copy which is why I'm asking.

So the process in total can take around 7 months, give or take. 

Let's hope they somehow manage to get a big surge in the processing times for their applications, it is such a long wait  

Unfortunately I know this is the biggest part of the wait  I didn't make myself clear the the last post whilst at work and probably little delusional with the waiting time. 

Thankfully my fiancee is coming over in October for 10 days so we get a bit of time then, after that I'm going to be with her for 6 weeks in January in the states, probably when everything finally comes through.

Once we get passed the NOA 2 notification, how long is the average wait for everything after that. I know we need to do the police certificate and medical and in honest I was hoping to do the medical in about the middle of December if I could do as it is valid for 6 months, leaving me with only the interview left to book and pass.

Text message reply on 24/08/2017 to confirm official receipt. 

NOA 1 Letter dated 23rd August 2017 received 28 August 2017

Still waiting for NOA 2 but we probably need to allow a little longer, especially with the terrible weather in Texas lately. 

Gotta love the medical costs on that as well. 

I'll need to see what I will need but it's certainly expensive, wow lol

One thing that I've seen mentioned a few times is the DS160, is this for when I apply for a change of immigration status from the States once married? I'll admit to not having read that far ahead yet as I'm still getting everything straight for the submission of the K1.

I was wondering if anyone could advise me on when the most ideal time to order the police certificate would be please? Is there a particular time frame it needs to cover? For example, my fiance is about to file in August, should I do it straight away or wait until I receive one of the NOA's? 

My other question relates the medical requirements, does anyone know where you had to go for this and how much it cost roughly?

Hi all, 

My fiance and I are planning to fill in the form later this week, but I have a query regarding section 45a. 

The form asks where I would be living, however my fiance is currently living in a rented property but is intending on buying somewhere by January so the address I originally provide would be incorrect or outdated rather quickly. 

Would I later be able to make an amendment and update this part of the info as the application is going through? 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
