  1. Hello, my interview has been scheduled for the end of this month. I filed under the 5-year rule (divorced). Could you please let me know if I am missing any documents on this list?

    - Tax transcripts of the last 5 years

    - Lease/utility bill/bank statement proving that I meet the 3-month residency requirement (I applied 3.5 months after I moved to TX)

    - divorce decree

    - Selective system registration

    - Interview notice

    - Previous USCIS documents

    - Green cards (conditional and 10 years)

    - All passports

    - DL

    Thank you!

This is what we uploaded for wife's case:

    5 years Tax transcripts
Proof of my 1st marriage Termination
Proof of Wife's 1st Marriage Termination
    Wife's Green Card
    Our Marriage Certificate

    Letter for I-751 combo interview

Thank you. That's similar to what I included as required documents (Green card, divorce decree, selective service registration proof) for my case. I am not currently married and my I-751 is already approved.

  3. Hi,

I am getting ready to submit my application at the end of this month under the 5-year rule.

I attached the tax return transcript for the last 5 years as optional additional evidence. Is there any other evidence you recommend that can the process smoother?

Also, I got a speeding and a few red light tickets in the last few years. Do I need to report any of those? I did not see any questions regarding traffic tickets.

    Thank you!

  4. Hi, I am applying for Naturalization online through the 5-year rule. There is an option to attach additional evidence to support my application. The section says "You can provide additional documents that support your application and help explain any of your responses on the application. If you want to provide additional evidence now, upload any documents below. You can also bring the documents to your naturalization interview."

All my answers did not trigger any comments. Do you recommend any documents that I can provide to make the process easier?

    Thank you!

    Hello. @norfolk

There are a bunch of videos on YouTube and/or even on the USCIS website for those civics questions. Just learn them and you’ll be fine.

Norfolk is pretty quick for scheduling an interview.

Thank you! How quick is Norfolk office?

I actually just moved to Austin from Virginia and hoping that Texas is also quick!

  6. Hello everyone, I forgot my password, and when I try to recover it, it asks me to enter the authentification code from the app which I don't have set up anymore :(

USCIS website mentions "If you can’t remember your password reset answers, send us a message using this link: my.uscis.gov/account/v1/needhelp." and "Our Technical Help Desk will email you, usually within 72 hours, with instructions for resetting your password."

However, it's been 2 weeks without any answers. Please help as I am trying to apply for N400 online using the account.

    Thank you!

  7. Hello everyone,

I am getting ready to file my N400 based on 5-year rule after divorce (my initial green card was through marriage). I am planning to apply online. Please share any tips or references that you found useful during your process such as online application packages or apps/websites for test practice etc.

    Thank you!

  8. According to the research I did, once you apply for AOS, you have two options: either end your F-1 status but you will have to leave the country if you didnt get approved or keep your F-1 status ( enroll full time...etc...) while you AOS is pending so that will give you a back up plan to continue school in case you didn't get approved.

I applied for EAD/AP, I just don't think I will use it, because using it will make me lose my F-1 status.

  9. Hello guys,

I entered the US 4 years ago as F-1 and maintained my status the whole time and I just got married to a USC on March 2017. We filled and sent our application 2 weeks ago and we just got the Approval Notice (I-797). Virginia state and my school states that I'm eligible for in state tuition while my I-485 is pending by providing the I-797. My issue is that I want to be safe and have a back up plan by maintaining my F-1 status (enroll full time, not planning on using the EAD/AP combo,......). My question is : Will applying and filling the In-state application form have any impact on F-1 status and make me lose my status ?

    Thank you
