Trust me, you're better off not being PIVOT if that's true that Paris is non-pivot. Non-pivots are moving what seems to be a month faster than PIVOT cases. I do think Paris is PIVOT though, I seem to recall another from France going through the same pain. The list on their website isn't exhaustive since they've been switching a bunch of embassies to PIVOT.

I recommend 'alltrails' app and it tells you how populated the trail is! I have found some super lovely escape places this way! Haha (off topic)

Banff is beautiful. The people polluting it, not so much. For a country the fraction the population of the US has, it sure is difficult to find open space anywhere here and I'm not entirely sure why. 

Oh I'm sure they've "received" documents, or rather that it's stored in a black hole of 0's and 1's shared with thousands of other hopefuls.
 
I think the email that you got was an anomaly. Is this email that you received independent of the DS-260 submission confirmation email?

An update on our case...my husbands interview was last Friday (May 18th) in Ankara. Everything went well except they asked that we upload 2017 1040 tax forms to CEAC for me & our sponsor. We did that on Sunday & emailed the embassy letting them know. They responded on Monday saying that they will review everything. Tuesday our status changed to Administrative Processing...and today it changed to Issued!! Woohoo!! Hopefully we'll be able to pick it up sometime next week...I'm just so happy they were so quick about it 😀

Happy for all the CCs here, but it's really discouraging seeing cases that uploaded/submitted later getting a CC earlier.   I just asked an NVC operator in what order cases are getting reviewed – no straight answer, of course. He said he didn't know.

Their interview date was April 17, the wife joined the husband for his interview, and their username suggests they're from Texas and British Columbia. Oh, and according to their review, he was the second person to be interviewed!

Ditto, I thought 8-10 months at most based on others timelines. Boy what an AWESOME surprise this has all been. Wish I could take back the last year, would have done things so differently.

It's because you've made 200+ posts and has nothing to do with your case duration  Every forum has their own criteria of rankings. 

It's so funny, even as early as December 2017, NVC from NOA2 to interview was 3 months.... case number assignment was taking a matter of days, not 8-10 weeks. The only consolation was supposed to be a quick cc after waiting 12 bloody weeks for a case number and now can't even get that. *sigh*

Sorry @R&OC was hoping you already got yours since @kendraf did.... at least you'll probably get a July interview regardless. It looks like they're speeding up case # assignments which obviously means it'll slow down the next stage of cc. Always at the wrong place at the wrong time... hope it's not an omen or premonition to a life changing move.

Checking in. I'm a pivot case at Guangzhou embassy. NVC received my case 3/27. I called today and they said the case had been input into their system on 5/22. Exactly 8 weeks on the nose. It was a different call from the start because they asked me for names. They never asked that before. They told me it can be up to 4 weeks until the next step, which is receiving an email from the Department of State with directions, but that realistically it can be any day.

Right?! Okay, glad I’m not the only one. I think I’ve been overthinking everything lately haha. I’m so over the long wait for a CC. I thought this was supposed to be the “fast” part. Oh well. 

I hate to compare !@#$ with $#@!, but I suppose I have it great by comparison.
 
So sorry, I talked to a gal who was stuck in Nebraska too who submitted at same time as you, but fortunately for her, she didn't get the checklist and moved on from NVC stage fast . You got the double whammy of the new PIVOT system slowdown after NOA2  It'd be nice if they actually accounted for PD's at all..................................

Ha! - the minute we get a cc, I am going to call my husband and right afterwards will post it here. Kendraf submitted a few days before us ( I believe 3 business days)...
