Yup don't lose hope, months before that, cutoff date was much later than 21st. Last month's cutoff date happened to be rather early and without feeling sorry for myself, it seems to be a predictable pattern for our application.

Fairly confident in saying that you'll both receive your interview dates for September. Cutoff date last month was 21st or so. Nonetheless, you should know by the end of today or Monday latest given they schedule interview dates for countries all in the same day, and they were done by the equivalent Friday of last month, at least from what I saw on VJ. Thought should update here. I was able to schedule an appointment today. It's within 5 weeks, so decent time. They had a couple of slots available and I picked up the earliest one.

Yes, I believe I just made the cutoff for the following month since people with cc June 20 last month have had their interviews already. If I don't hear back along with the rest of the Canadians this month then, well, my conclusion must be that I'm screwed.

Also waiting on Montreal, cc June 22. I'm guessing by end of week Canadians will start hearing rumblings.

If you're referring to IR1/CR1 visa, currently the wait time is about 5 months if and only if everything goes right. About 2-3 weeks from Noa2 to get to nvc, another 8-10 weeks for a case number, a week for forms to open, another 3 weeks for a case complete and then about 7-8 weeks for interview. This timeline is constantly changing though so ymmv when it's your turn. 
 
There is absolutely nothing that you can do to speed up the process minus perhaps an expedite, but you can get all your documents ready to submit when the online interface is open for you. 

was just thinking about it..you have 6 months to enter so the interview date doesn't matter anyway  that would be within you time period of Late Nov?
