Did you do front and back of birth certificates even if it’s blank? Rapidvisa told me to make sure I did that.
For my husband? I guess he did photocopied them front and back. I remember telling him to have all his passport pages photocopied too, as it was in the checklist. For my birth certificate, I don't think have them front and back. But marriage certificates are all good, I hope.

Photos are more important for those filing for the fiancé visa. It’s irrelevant until the interview. I think they are more concerned with more bonafide proof of marriage rather than photos....
I agree, that's what my friend told me too, she's living with her husband in US now, and that's why I didn't send any photos but now I'm confused. I have affidavits for bonafide proof of marriage and we think it's all good. I guess we'll just have to wait for the RFE letter in the mail. We're very anxious and clueless.

We have to show them conversations? My husband and I communicate through Imessage and phone calls, he cant take his phone in so how are we going to be able to show them the conversations? He has all the pictures from every trip on his laptop so he will have to go get them printed out to?
I guess he has to take screenshots and have them printed. My husband and I uses WhatsApp messenger and it has a capability to send conversations thru email. I send our conversations monthly to my email and download them and had them printed. Right now, we have 1000 pages printed, I am getting ready since July so I won't be rushed when it's time to go to the interview in the embassy. I have screenshots of our phone calls and conversations in Facebook and are ready for printing soon. For our wedding photos and our vacation photos, I have them in photobook layout and printed for our souvenir anyway
I did all these because I read some reviews here in VJ written by those who are done with their visa application and are now in the US. One was saying that she was not given the visa approval unless they have their printed conversation and sent to the embassy. It really helps to check their reviews.
Goodluck to us all.

I didn't want to take any chances with there to be questions about my marriage, I sent in photos from every visit up to when we got married, it took me 3 months after I got married to make sure I had all the papers in order, everything was filled out, my legal termination of my previous marriage, copy of all pages of my passport, copy of my American birth certificate. I even submitted things that were not on the list, I didnt want to have to risk getting a RFE...I sent in affidavits from those who witnessed our wedding, and those here in the states that knew of our relationship my own personal letter about how we met. This process can cause so much anxiety.
I got all paperwork on the checklist including affidavits from our witnesses at the wedding and my mother in law's Affidavit, all notarized. I just didn't include any photos bcoz I read somewhere that don't send anything that's not on the checklist. Anyway, we will need to show them everything we have, photos and conversation, for our US Embassy Interview.
Keeping the faith. Goodluck to us all.

To be honest I was told wedding photos aren’t really proof for a CR1. We didn’t send any and still got approved. But I read reviews on here regarding so many denials before we started the process. This is exactly why we chose to use Rapidvisa. Regardless, I hope everything works out for you. Positive vibes!!!!
Someone told me too that just submit the papers in the checklist and skip sending photos as they are not really needed so we did not send any. I guess we'll just see what the RFE letter says when it arrives in the mail. We're just glad that they already reviewed our papers (finally!) and we'll submit what additional documents they need from us. 😊

How is everyone getting to talk to Tier-2? My husband calls USCIS everytime on 18003755283 , and wen asks for Tier 2 - they say there's nothing as tier 2, we are the only ones who can answer your query. And they ask him to wait cause they're still processing Feb cases (acc to website, which I think is faulty).
Is there any other number that he shud call to for Texas?

I have days I just sit and cry and cry thinking to myself why all the other centers are on May and I get stuck with the one that is months behind everyone else. I don't understand why they are so much more slow than the others. My husband tries to be encouraging and tells me that Nebraska will catch up soon it just seems so far out ..Trying to stay busy with work and getting the house together to welcome him. Some days are definitely harder than others.
I'm not sure how my husband called for a Tier 2, or maybe a supervisor. The first person he talked to was not helpful, he was just told our case is pending and within the processing period. He decided to call back after few minutes and asked for a Tier 2 as I told him to do so, though the second person sounds helpful, he was not transferred to that person, instead he was told to wait so they can verify about our case status and promised that someone calls him back after 2 hours, which they did telling him that he will receive an RFE letter in the mail.
I know this waiting game is very frustrating, but i wish you all the best. Keep the faith.

You wouldnt know what document is missing until your husband receives the RFE in the mail.
Same thing happened to us,we were very anxious because we felt we sent every required document but alas,we had an RFE on proof of legal termination of my husband's previous marriage stating that the one we submitted was not carrying the judge's signature.
We received it in the mail after 1week&responded immediately. Now awaiting our approval.
I see. I hope we receive our letter soon so we could submit whatever document they are requesting.
I'm glad to know that we're sharing not only our approvals or good news but also our frustrations. Lol
Please update us with your case status as we will do post our status here for other couples' reference. I am yet to update our timeline once we receive the RFE letter.

RFE was mailed to you?
The Tier 2 agent said they will mail the RFE soon. We're clueless what document is missing coz we tried our best to submit everything in the list so I guess we'll have to wait. BTW we didn't file our papers with RapidVisa or any immigration lawyers but we're confident with the papers they need. Though we didn't send any wedding photos. We're anxious and excited still.

My husband called USCIS and asked for a call back from a Tier 2 this morning. He was told that they need to request for info or RFE so we need to wait for the letter from the mail.

Yeah. My wife is currently pregnant and due end of April....trying and praying that she be here early March...but I guess I am just hoping for too much. it will represent a challenge to take time off here, from work, to go to the birth, deal with embassy for the child birth certificate abroad to get him/her a passport and then the agony of leaving my wife to get back to work and prepare things here....so much time and money needed if it happens this way that will be a hardship for me. So I share your prayers, the sooner the better and hopefully the embassy can grant an expedition for the case once at the NVC stage.
Praying for your sooner approval. And you're right, try to expedite, you have valid reason for it. Just don't forget to pay all fees before your spouse arrives the US. I read someone did file for expedition and so they skipped paying for the fees online then the embassy told them to just pay some other fees upon arrival in the US then was denied entry and the wife needed to go back to her country just to pay the fees. 😬

Same here. I called and needed to leave my phone number and got called back after 3 hrs from an officer. He was extremely nice and took the time to look at my application and told me it seems that it has been assigned to an officer and I should hear something within the next two weeks. My PD is 05/30. So at least this gives us the hope that they are indeed working on May filers. Fingers crossed.
8 hours ago, HisForeverWife said:I've updated mines. My pd is may 8th, got approved 10/31, got the mail 11/6 And the text and email 11/8
We haven't called but tried case inquiry online, it said we are still within the processing period so the we cannot submit the inquiry. Glad to know that they are working on the May filers. Just anxious coz we didn't file thru RapidVisa or immigration lawyer but we did our best to follow the instructions for filing of petition. Does anyone sent wedding photos too? We have a lot of photos but didn't send coz it's not listed in the requirements. We sent affidavits of our guests present at the wedding and mother-in-law's affidavit.
I guess we'll be glad to see some updated timelines from you guys so we'll know that we're next. Keeping the faith.

Getting frustrated but hoping for a good mail soon since it seems that they don't send text or email notification anymore. Anybody got approved, please update your timeline. Thanks.

I definitely agree with you. We wouldn't know for sure what they need until we receive our RFE letter. In addition, we'll send some photos of our wedding with my family and friends, and our vacation trip to Mexico with his family to show them that our marriage is supported by his family too. I just really hope they send the letter as soon as possible so that we can respond right away coz this waiting is very frustrating, it's really depressing to be away from your loved ones. I'm very grateful for you guys for giving opinions and comments and suggestions regarding our situations. Praying for us all.
