Just look at the numbers from USCIS website. Quarter to Quarter.

                                                                 2016 1st Quarter    2017 1st Quarter

    I-751 Applications received:           35,536                       36,263

    I-751 applications approved:          32,246                        23,829

    DACA Received:                               47,376                       114,327

    DACA Approved:                              55,886                         122,221

The numbers above don't need major explanation. Huge jump on DACA workload. Huge decrease on I-751s approved per quarter.

Now it makes sense. But isn't it that DACA get processed not just by CSC but all other centers too and they're fine. Also can you please give me a link for statistics? It's interesting. I was trying to find these numbers but couldn't.

Just called USCIS. The Tier 1 set me up for a call back number for Tier 2 officer. So I set it up and got called back immediately. Spoke to Tier 2. I was told that my case is still pending and all I-751 cases are required for an interview. I told her based on people’s reports most cases didn’t get an interview. She insisted it was for cases before and now they are notified that cases require an interview. When I asked if my case has been assigned to an officer, she said she doesn’t know as the system doesn’t show. She can’t set up a service request either at this point because of the process timeline. However, she then told me my case is still at the service center. If my case is sent to the field office, there will be an interview. If my case is at the service center, there may be or may be not an interview. Pretty useless information and just some official answers for me. I asked for her badge number to follow up, she doesn’t have one but she did give me her name. I guess I will follow up later when the process timeline is updated.

Sounds not nice. However, not even one June, July, August 2016 filer on VJ  reported anything about being called for the interview. They would go to the bottom if they conducted interviews for each case. Doesn't sound reliable information.

Guys, long time lurker here. I posted quite a bit 3 years ago when I first applied for my conditional green card. Anyway, I'm an August filer, CSC, and I just got my 10 year GC on the mail on Saturday!!! Just wanted to let you know things seem to be going in the right direction now!!

Hang in there, you will get approved soon!! good luck everyone

Wooow, congratulations! I hope they woke up indeed.

Now i am trying to justify why CSC is way behind this year, I guess because states with huge population like CA, TX, FL all under the jurisdiction of CSC, and maybe that is why CSC is slow this year, but when CSC was faster than VSC, CA, TX, Fl were still under CSC by law, so I guess this only reason i can suspect is over the past few years, we had an influx of 485 applicants based on marriage due to the fear of Trump being elected?? Perhaps

I was told at infopass the delay was due change of administration. I didn't ask which administration but I suppose CSC administration since VSC is ok. Another reason was the influx as you said.

@friendlyusa Don't forget these stats are as of July 31, 2017 and not end of August or September so your observation is true and makes logical sense given the latest update.

@Zombie69 I think of VJ as providing us with a good representative sample of all applicants. Yes, perhaps there are some statistical biases and skew in the data but for the most part I think on average, it should be able to predict approval times that can guide the rest of us who are still waiting.

There's also I-751 tracker. It's much less representative than VJ but still can be helpful

So you think the interview may or may not happen? Do you think your chances of getting the interview are big or the same as mine? Or applying for 400 while 751 is pending automatically triggers the interview for 751 no matter what? I still think there still could be a chance that we get our 751 approved first though.

I think in circumstances of lack of resources, when USCIS cannot afford calling each and everyone for an interview, it'd be very unreasonable of them not to ask you to bring your spouse for I-751 interview when you have to show up for N-400 interview anyways. It will cost them nothing. But I don't want to scare you. I've also read about waiving I-751 interview when filing I-751 and N-400 at the same time.

Found old processing times online, so I was able to create a chart myself. Here it is, in case anyone is curious about actual CSC data as reported by USCIS over the past year.

(Even this evidence probably won't be good enough to convince a Chicago field office officer to give a 12-month I-551 stamp rather than the 6-months ones they've apparently been giving out, but it'll certainly be worth a try...)

I was wondering too to track down these times. It's just wow. What the hack happened in October 2016? You could assume it's trump-related but it was before elections and no one knew he would win. Plus other service centers maintained their own pace. I was told at my Infopass it was due change in administration of CSC in considerable degree.

According to what I read, you and your spouse have an I-751 interview; then, your spouse steps away and you have an N-400 interview on the same day.  :reading:

Your visa officer may not adjudicate your applications on the spot.    That was the case of the June (May?) filer I mentioned.  They had to go home without getting approved since the officer wanted to take more time to process their applications.

That is why I do not file my N-400 because it's gonna be double interview while you could avoid bringing your spouse and having this stressful time of getting separated and interrogated like it happened to us on AOS interview.

Just got off the phone with a Tier 2 officer. I'm happy to share with you all that I was approved yesterday 09/11. There has been no text/email notification or change of status online. Also I just wanted to share this for others who might be reading this now or in the future. Many people seem to worry a lot or make a big deal out of sending a lot of documents. Like y'all know imma divorce waiver filer and I had absolutely NO document to show co-mingling of financial resources with my ex. The ONLY documents I sent with my ROC application was a cable bill and a life insurance policy (that I eventually cancelled) from 2 years ago that had my name and ex spouses name on it. No bank statement, no credit card, no lease/common dwelling, no greeting cards, no affidavits, no insurance, no pictures, in fact I sent absolutely NOTHING meaningful. I was hoping for an interview so I could get a chance to explain the circumstances and why there are no documentations of our defunct marriage. But I guess I don't have to go through that anymore. I'm so glad this part is over now!

Oh man!!! How's that even possible! I guess it's just a lottery and my congratulations, you won it! Send out positive vibes at us and pray for us! )

I spoke with my attorney this last week, and he told me not to be concerned in regards to I-751 taking so long. As this is 1 of the longest drawn out immigration processes, and with me applying for citizenship they tend to combine the 2 together. He did say he has known cases to have taken 18-24 months before the I-751 is completed. I applied under 14months ago, and still have no feedback. When I went to my info pass appointment at the start of August, I was told it hadn't been allocated to an officer. I am not too concerned, it will happen when it happens. It is just the inconvenience of having to travel with a stamp in the passport, opposed to having the actual card present, seems to take longer when entering the country.

Well. Immigration officers or attorneys  - they all would tell you not to worry and that it's normal to wait 24 months. But it's not. I have few friends who filed I-751 in November 2015 - January 2016 and they all got their GC within 5 to 6 months. We filed few months later and have to wait 14 months. It's unfair. People who could absolutely legally get their residency in time if USCIS did their job well, might break up and get divorced while waiting 24 months loosing their status or getting it with complexities.

Hi guys, im a September 2016 filer too. my green cards expires December, so my extension letter expires December too.

i keep seeing people go in for an infopass to get i-551 stamp.

so is it good to go and get the stamp this early?

I would wait till mid of November and make an appointment. This way you'll have your new extension till December 2018, not September 2018 (3 months longer). Just in case )

I still do not believe what the officer told me. I might hear from USCIS in a week?? Really? I will believe it when i hear from them. The processing times table says as of June 30th, the field offices were processing applications from last June 20th, and that was as of August 16, that is the last update. So we will know in about a week what the latest update is. They update their processing times every mid month. I would not get my hopes up, I think it will take about a year and 6 months or even more for them to approve July or August filers because they seem to have stuck in late June and early July. We will see, it will be a long wait. Been waiting for 13 months.

Don't trust what they tell you. When I called 2 months ago, I also was told "Who knows, you'll be surprised but you might hear from us very soon". Just a bs that makes no sense.

That's a good news to me, who he is going back to his own country. I see CSC current processing time is 20 June 2016, what does it mean? Does it mean they already get hands on that day's filer or it's been done by the time? Is it likely they will take action on Aug filer a month after?

It doesn't. They process 5 days per month. So in a month it would be June 25, 2016 but hopefully they have moved forward further.
