Is anyone able to give me an estimated arrival time of my NAO2? We went through a lawyer who also tells us they are backed up from February, I can give them my WAC receipt number? Going on 140 days and been trying to figure it out.

They tell EVERYBODY they are processing February. If you fill out your time line, VJ gives you an estimate of when your case may be adjudicated. Is your received date on the 13th? They have been approving the first half of April up unto about the 19th.

  2. I think it it best to know what going on when you talk to them. Of course be polite and nice because they have your future in their hands, but tell them what you know.  And that is that their site says February but they have been approving cases through the middle of April. All you really want to know is if they have assigned a officer to you case, if yes then you can ask about how long has it been assigned, has it been approved? and if there is any marks for a RFE. I am sure they will always tell you to call back in a least 2+ weeks as they do not want phone calls all day long.

I think the 5 and 7 are for the NVC, and I think it was @Estibaliz who first mentioned it and should be able to confirm that. @CE and JR I think that you will need to press 1, 2, 2. Definitely listen to the prompts though. I called earlier today and I'm pretty sure it was 1, 2, 2. I definitely didn't touch a 5 or 7 though and got through to Tier 2, but yes, you'll definitely need to insist on speaking to Tier 2.

    @CE and JR

Yes, that seems familiar now. Thank you for the correction.

Hey guys, I know the reply to this is somewhere in this forum. What is the number to call to ask for status of NoA2? and what is the numbering of the key path options that you need to made in order to have a tier 2 rep calling back?

    Cheers,

    Thanks

    The number is 1 (800) 375 - 5283

Push 1 For English and then either 5 or 7. I think Someone said they were told not to push 5 again. 7 If i remember correctly is inquire about a case.

Make sure if you call to "insist" a tier 2 officer. Everybody knows they will try to tell you about normal processing times being February and all that fun stuff. Try to ask tier 2 if you have been assigned an officer, and go from their.

    Good Luck!

  5. Good Morning everybody!

Its nice to see how quickly everything goes after NOA2. Thank you for the updates after NOA2 as it adds 50/50 hope and jealousy (the good kind) to our journey.

I was really thinking "surely NOA2 will be here by the end of August". That is tomorrow. Time goes slow and fast at the same time. I think I will call USCIS today because why not.

I hope everyone here will be able to celebrate their long weekend with the peace of mind brought to you in the form of a NOA2!

    Good Luck!

    Hello everyone!

The waiting has been getting to me, but as always it's really nice to have a group of people here who can all relate to each others' struggles.

Anyway, our received date is April 28th and NOA1 date is May 2nd. I feel somewhat heartened by the idea that our magical post-NOA2 time is actually getting close. It seems that some people here have been approved right after calling and inquiring with USCIS officers. Do you think there's anything to this? And what's the number to call? Because I'll want to start calling soon either way.

    The number is 1 (800) 375 - 5283

I don't think there is anything to it, but always worth a shot trying!

And there are others with my same dates, and dates after mine approved before me as well. Not to mention all the people in February and March still waiting, but I'm not the kind of person that can sit by idly and wait without having some sort of plan. I'm very patient and can bide my time, but only if I have a plan in place...by doing this I'm giving myself a plan and can be patient again (sort-of)? Seems bizarre but that's what works for me.

Just curious, Does anyone know how many are waiting from months earlier than April?

Guys I got a question: the noa2 date is the date they received it or  the notice date? I know it's a dumb question, but I just got a little confused with it now

Received date is for NOA1 when you first submit your I-129F. NOA1 has a notice date as well. I can guess the NOA2 only has a notice date but don't know yet! I Hopefully will know this answer very soon!

    Good Luck!

For some reason I thought I'd read here that the turn-around time from the USCIS receiving the evidence required in an RFE and the NOA2 approval might be only a few days. But I just saw a timeline where it was like a month? Is that what folks are experiencing? I sure hope not.

Its not always the same for each RFE. Some are about a week some are a month+.

Y'know, I'm curious...seems like most, if not all of the posts here end up with people getting approved NOA2's. So does anyone NOT get approved? Yeah, the wait can be frustrating, but in the end are the chances of approval almost 100%?

Yes, Some people do not get approved. However, I have not heard of any as I think it is a small percent.  If your looking at the processing times tab  here on VJ and see all the filers from the beginning of the year and wondering why they have not been approved, More then likely they have. They just haven't got on VJ to update their timeline. If you click on their profile you can see that most of them have not logged in for a few months. That is why the Bar graph on that tab is also never at 100% for the past few months.

    Good Luck!

Thank you guys> and to the other responders of that post.

I (we all) need to keep a positive attitude. In the past few days I've begun worrying whether my fiancé will even like the United States, Virginia...must remain "tranquila" (as the Peruvians say)..thank you guys so much for your support.

We are all in this together. I think everybody can find something to worry about. I have thought about the same thing. Will my fiance like it here? What will my Fiance do for the first few months waiting for EAD while I am at work? Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has its own troubles. I must learn this myself first.

If you are at the bottom of a flight of stairs and staring at the top, you don't have to jump up there in one shot! its just one step at a time!

    Good Luck!

    Hey friends,

    I'm starting to lose faith..

    :[

Don's lose faith! Today is the start of your projected adjudicated date range! We all on here know how difficult it is to wait and we all have our bad days. Have you called the USCIS? If you can reach tier 2 you could see if your case has been assigned yet. If yes its only a few days until your approval!

    Stay positive! Its close!

  13. I agree that moving around may be suspicious. When you do start the process, I recommend being in one place and not moving until the process is over. Either stay where you are and file or move then file. I understand a change of address can really make things difficult. Also, If you think you would want as much information through the whole process and would want to converse with others in the same situation, then Philippians has a lot of applicants for this visa and therefore lots of information of the whole process.

    Good luck!

Thank you @KeriAn we never sent an inquiry, we've just been waiting patiently like everyone else.

It's just a bummer when you think you got that golden letter only to find out it is just a copy of your noa1... And no one has answers week at least not within the next 390 minutes...

I have a theory as to why there is such a long wait time to talk to an officer, but I have no information to back this up. Maybe people called the USCIS over the weekend (When the officers do not work) and said they would wait to talk to one so they all just got backed up from the weekend?

If it was the case then it would happen every week. Just a thought.

    Hi all!

After months of checking VJ's forum I finally decided to create an account :)

I'm also an April filer - I-129F was received on April 7, and I received my NOA1 one week later... Now fingers crossed for my NOA2, which I hope arrives soon.

Next week it will be 9 years since my fiancée and I started dating, and I'm really hoping he can move here by his birthday in October! Wishful thinking lol

Welcome! It seems you are just in time for the April Party!

Now Hurry and get your NOA2 so Mid Aprilers can step up in line

Congrats to all who have received their golden ticket!!
