Our case has been complete at NVC since April 2nd and still no interview date! I am beyond frustrated and starting to worry. I thought it only took 2 weeks to get an interview date???😞
-
Received our email with case and ID numbers from NVC today. 4 weeks and 6 days from when our petition was sent. 😊

Showing only on the new website. Saying they will mail the notification.
The Old website is not updated and hubby did not get a text message.
NOA1 March 22nd @TSC
NOA2 17th October.
Hang in there all TSC marchies who are still waiting ! It’s coming.
Anyone else who is still waiting, it WILL happen! Keep the faith alive !
Funny thing 🤔🤔😐😐 I called yesterday, and as I am the beneficiary, they would not speak to me ! She said, please have you your husband, the petitioner call in. It was approved that day!!!! Coincidence?
...... oh it doesn’t matter.
Now then next step begins. .....
I don’t know where I start ❗️🤭🤯🤯🤯 .... consular processing in London U.K. ..... anyone doing this too?
Woot woot!! Congratulations!

Pls, you head anything from USCIS?
You hear anything from USCIS? We are at the same service center and March filler.
Nothing yet unfortunately. Our time is coming though! I'm just staying busy and not thinking about it.

Hi, just confused about the whatsapp screenshots. Is it necessary to show my spouse's phone number on the screenshots or is the nicknames like 'hubby', sweetheart, dear, etc other personal nicknames we save ok. I hope u got what I m trying to ask..
I didn't cover up his phone number. I wouldn't say that it's necessary, but the person looking at your packet may see it as you having something to hide if you black out his phone number. So I wouldn't recommend it. Just my thoughts on it though.

Soooo.... it's looking like Potomac is starting on February petitions....eeeekkk!!!!😊😊😊

🙌 Dont know if im being impatient but we havent got any updates besides the NOA1? Have you received anything else after that?
We haven't heard anything either, we are expecting something around October. Potomac averages about 7-8 months to process petitions.

Someone asked about what documents to gather in preparation for NVC stage. I found a website with a good rundown. Things listed here plus any new proof of ongoing relationship are what we should be gathering for the next stage. 😊
-
So has anyone started gathering items for nvc stage? I'm thinking about getting that packet started.

Oh wow. Good for you. Still bugging hubby to check the mail
box for the NOA!
We have a cruise coming up so I’ll be flying to US. I wanted a copy of the NOA to keep along with other evidence.
Now I was thinking - we did the i130 with my current passport in my maiden name.
I wanted to get a new passport in my married name.
If I do get a new passport - Do I need to tell USCIS that I have a new passport ?
Does it matter ?
Or is it just making it complicated?
Should I get the new passport after everything is approved ?
All advice appreciated as always ! ❤️
I am not sure about the passport question. I would just leave things as is until the process is over. But if you must change your passport, you could probably just send it in at the NVC stage.
Anyway, enjoy your cruise!!! I want to go on a cruise one day but I'm too scared of water!🙈😆

Just got the text/email notification that our package was received. It's being sent to the Potomac service centre for processing. Anyone have any info on this centre?
We got sent to Potomac too! It's a smaller service center, not very many petitions get sent there. They're also supposed to be one of the fastest. I guess we will see 😊

Hello, I am new to the forum but have been reading other threads for quite a while now. I am hoping to file an i130 for my wife in Pakistan in the coming days. Even though I have read multiple threads and the visa journey guides I would appreciate some guidance from everyone here before I submit the packet so that I have all the documents.
So far I have gathered:
My Documents:
- 2 passport size photos on white/offwhite background
- I have a US Passport (should I scan the main page or all pages?)
- I have my birth certificate in Urdu (do I need it translated in English or is this even required)
- I still need to add my Naturalization Certificate
Wife's Documents:
- 2 passport size pize pictures on white/offwhite background
- Birth certificate in Urdu and English
- Educational History (heard it was needed down the line)
- She doesn't have a passport
Marriage:
- Marriage certificate in Urdu and English
-
Evidence based on http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1
- I can add WhatsApp chats
- I have pictures of our engagement and wedding
- Would that qualify or should I get the affidavits? If so can someone give me an example?
Please let me know if I am missing anything. I would like to submit the documents this week.
Thank you all!
Copy all pages of your passport.
Yes you have to translate anything not in English to English.
It wouldn't hurt to add your naturalization certificate.
You also want to add call logs and video logs as evidence.
Affidavits aren't necessary, just make sure you add quality evidence in the way of chats, call logs, and photos.
