Congratulations! :jest: I am happy to see one more approval!

Let us know your wife receives the passport.

passport in hand!  received today from SEDEX.

It came with instructions (in Portuguese) about how to pay the USCIS immigration fee as well as a data summary sheet (unsealed, plain paper) with our A-number. The instructions say that we should receive a sealed envelop with the documents we submitted to the consulate. They didn't keep anything other than her passport- everything was returned. I assume this is because we used the CEAC system and most of the application was done online...

will be paying the fee today and traveling on Friday with the medical results and these documents in hand!

Received an email today with a tracking number that says it should arrive in 2 business days; the tracking number doesn't actually work yet, but I think it may take up to 24 hours for it to get into the correio system. so hopefully we'll have it in-hand Monday or Tuesday!! will aim to fly out Friday next week....

on a separate note, have any of you Brazilians done a declaração de saida and tried to change your bank account to a conta não residente?  what a pain! not having much success with the banks. may end up closing our accounts here.

Congratulations! I was wondering how long they say it will take to get the visa, if you pick it up in Rio opposed to having it mailed. Good luck with your future in the US!

They said it takes two weeks, but we didn't ask if they meant business days or actual days. We were a bit excited/nervous/ just wanting to get back to our cell phones to tell everyone. I'm hoping it comes before the end of next week, and I'll update here once we have it. We opted for SEDEX delivery. I didn't ask about picking it up as my wife lives in SP and I'm staying with her family until we head back to the U.S. together.  I saw some previous posts/reviews that said it took about 7 business days.

Nao consegui fazer tb. fala que o case number esta errado. será que aquele register esta valendo ainda?

@Ana Wharton e @bia and Luc  - nao funcionou ontem para mim, mas funcionou hoje; tenta de novo hoje.

For those of your interviewing in Brazil, you need to register the interview with the consulate (instructions on the website), and it seems to work only one day after the NVC sends the interview notification email

Você chegou a ligar pra eles?? Que booom. E recebeu o e-mail?? :D

I did call but never spoke to anyone; hung up after 20 minutes of waiting yesterday; this morning it connected but went right to a busy signal... went to a meeting, went to lunch, checked status after lunch and saw "At NVC".  We just received the email now!

Seems like a lot of people are sad that my case got CC this quick. I shared it with the group, so we all understand that NVC can be unpredictable. I didn't expect anything this fast. Happy to be lucky on this one, but I will hold my future updates, as it apparently upsets a lot of people, all rightfully frustrated about their cases.

I'm excited/happy and definitely jealous! no negative feelings towards you or your SO! don't let this get you down, we all just wish it was so smooth for us!

Starting my 6th week since submission into CEAC this week... apprehensive about calling as there isn't much they can do / say at this point.

Not a lot of Brazilians there but the three of us can add our data and help people who come after us. And don't worry too much. I am sure you will get your interview soon, and just be happy you are at the end of the NVC process instead of the beginning like me. :-) It's the home stretch!

    four of us ;)

We're approaching a month of waiting for CC; but no checklist yet, so hopefully it'll come soon. FYI we translated all of my wife's documents just to be safe and had a lawyer review everything (for whatever that's worth...).   Hoping to get CC and interview assigned for August! (or July would be even better, however unlikely)

Awesome!! Yes definitely better safe than sorry.

Could you please let me if you have an interview date and if NZ sent you an email recognising you submitted Section 14 and there's any way they'll inform you if the consulate in Brazil received it?

I am in Colombia, mailing system here isn't very good

We do not yet have interview date, or case complete - just got everything finalized/submitted earlier this week. follow my timeline if you like , I keep it updated.

@CR1Journey2017 alright guys so i found out about the new zealand police certificate issue on the NVC website where u have the option to select the country of where u need to get documents from and they explain u exactly what they need. i actually got a criminal record from nz last month (lived there 6 months) be sent to my friend in NZ for then her mail it to me in colombia (currently residing here to be close to husband) and after receiving it i found out it is the wrong one..i have not asked my friend to mail it me i just have a scanned copy and will send that to NVC when they ask for my police certificates (got 4 to obtain -_-) but will do the Vetting Section 14 a week or two before my interview. Read from another person they send an email stating the certificate has been sent to X country’s US embassy.  if you look down below the form it says to fill out case number and address of country’s us embassy !

What i think i’ll do is since my i-130 has just been approved and my lawyer asked to gather all police certificates now when they have to be sent to NVC i’ll send a copy of the standard one, then figure out how long it takes for the official one to get to the us embassy ...ugh sorry if i was confusing, i’m drowning from all the certificates i need to get and pay certified translations..

do u guys have a case number already?

We submitted the section 14 file to the NZ police. We included the address of the consulate in Brazil as well as the NVC case number (we have already submitted everything to the NVC and for the NZ police certificate we provided evidence that she did not live there for 6 months; however to be safe we are requesting the section 14 and will provide a copy of our email and form to the NZ police, as the results will be sent directly to the consulate.

i’ve been enquiring a lot about police certificates and everyone told me u need one if u lived more than 6 months it it. and if it is expired but you haven’t been back should be good too. (but not sure about that) about the NZ careful, it is not the standard criminal record,  it’s called Vetting Section 14 and at the bottom you fill out your case number and address of consulate of country you’ll have the interview in -they send it right away to the consulate, there’s no way for you to touch it at all. it’s a bit tricky on when to ask for it

My wife lived in New Zealand for 5 months and 7 days as student at age 16... for some reason the CEAC system kicked out a request for NZ police report. We submitted to the NVC proof of her stamps showing less than 6 months of stay, and we will be applying for this Section 14 vetting to be sent to the consulate just in case.

Do you have experience with the NZ police report? If the NVC comes back actually wanting it even though she was there for <6 months, will proof of the request for it to be sent directly to the consulate in the interview country be sufficient to get the interview scheduled?

  12. Received case # yesterday. (Been keeping my timeline updated, but first post here).

I believe we are a "pivot" case? The NVC agent told me everything will be uploaded electronically. (Brazil)

    priority date: June 30, 2017

    I-130 approved: Jan 3, 2018

    NVC receive: Feb 12

Case # assigned: April 24  - I was able to login and pay both IV and AOS same day

AOS and IV paid: April 24 (still processing, but I see charge on my bank statement already)

Here's to a quick case complete!
