  1. This video totally bummed me out. I mean, it's obvious to think this administration has a lot to do with the slowdown, but now it feels personal. This guy makes it sound like uscis will start denying petitions left and right. My fiance and I are both living abroad (I applied from colombia...anyone else applying from abroad?), so although I'm lucky enough to be with my fiance, I've been here for nearly 4 years and I'm ready to go home! If he is denied, I feel like I can't even go back home to my family and friends.

  2. Hi August filers, how you all hanging in there? We got our Noa1 on Aug 30th, trying to wait patiently. We've all seen the expected noa2 date pushed months back and it's very disconcerting, but is there any chance they might speed things up (back from holidays, June having fewer i129fs filed. ..)? Could we see those March dates back up into Feb? Trying to stay optimistic here!

  3. Hey guys, I know this thread is a bit old and hasn´t been active for awhile, but yogabbaz I am in the same situation. I have been living and working in Medellin and we applied from here. Just curious if you had any issues with Colombian addresses or information about your fiance that the service center did not understand. Our petition was just received 2 days ago, but I´m stressing myself out over getting an RFE while being so far. Also, my salary in mere pesos does not allow me to be the sponsor - my parents will help us out with the Affidavit of Support.

Anything I can prepare for ahead of time? Words of wisdom from those who have filed while living abroad? Gracias!

  4. I know this thread is old but to avoid redundancy I will ask my question here.

I have been reading that some Embassies (Manila mainly) do not accept co-sponsors for the affidavit of support when applying for a K1 visa. I have been living and working in Colombia for the past 3 years making a good wage, but in pesos. Therefore I do not meet the income requirement in dollars. Can my parents be co-sponsors? Will the US Embassy in Bogota still accept co-sponsors?

    Thanks very much!
