Just noticed from case status that the person with receipt number next to be got an update "case is ready for an interview" but mine is still "fingerprint fee was received" so I guess ours should receive an update in like a month.

marriage certificate that I already submitted. It's RFIE not RFE. "I" for "initial", it's for eligibility.

I just wanted to know if someone who's doing AOS (not thru K-1 visa) and got RFIE had any updates? I'm on that boat and it seems that although some people got RFIE they have approved their work permits already (which seems to be the ones doing the AOS thru the K-1 visa).

I sent in my AOS (through K1) on Nov 2, received on Nov 6, still no EAD update yet. I received and responded to RFIE on Dec 8. What is the receipt date of those who have already received EAD card? Are they November AOS filer through K1?

Is your status "fingerprint fee was received" or "RFIE was mailed"? Mine is still "fingerprint fee was received" although I am done with biometric and responded to RFIE for over a month. Very frustrated.

Hello, Anyone received RFIE? Did your status on USCIS web ever updated after USCIS has received your response?

Good job! Mine is still in transit. At beginning l thought electronic means that NVC will send my stuffs electronically. Now l realized it's likely still paper delivery. Did you receive packet 3 by email from consulate?

You will have to ask the operator whether your case is in electronic system. If not electronic system select 7; if electronic system select 5. No wait time to talk to an operator if you choose 5.

the software print a 4by6 photo with 4 2by2 on it, so basically you get 4 passport photos from 1 printoff of 4 by 6 which only costs 14 cents at Costco.

That would be great. What would be your ideal interview date. I know that most Wednesdays in October are still open. I finished the DS160 as well minus my picture. Thanks for the reminder. I was telling Chris some of the security questions and he was like WHAT. lol Then he said do they want my first born son too after I put his name and address in for the millionth time. LMAO

You might use idphoto4you web to DIY your digital photo in single and in 4by6 inch to save money. I did that and it made wonder. I had a photo of myself against a bright white wall first then edit on the website, the single saved to upload for 160 and print off 4by6 at Costco for interview.

Just received NVC case number today! We have been calling and calling for a week since it was received by NVC. We found out our NVC case number in both of our emails this morning! So calling NVC might not be as effective as waiting for their email notification:) Good luck everyone!
