Don't do the crime if you can't pay the time.  Honestly, I think that it's only about to get worse.

Smoking pot is legal in many areas. So your saying if someone smoked pot on vacation or even lives where its legal while in Colorado, California, Alaska, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Oregon, Washington State and Washington DC int he states, along with: Uruguay, most of S. Africa and parts of India. They should be separated for almost another year from their loved ones? What if you are permitted to smoke it for medicinal purposes? I'm sorry, but its 2017 and things are changing around us, as should guidelines.

That really sticks. I am sorry to hear that. Where are you going to stay? My attorney told me the same thing. To always tell the truth.

It seems like the truth isn't always the best policy in terms of this. If it's been more than 6 months that someone has touched alcohol or any drug... and tests will come out clean, why in the hell would they suspend the process? That is so unfair to all parties involved.

    Hi all!

i have my visa interview on TUESDAY!! So naturally I'm starting to over think every little detail.

For my income on my I-134f, what income should I list? The amount I'm currently making OR the amount on my last years tax return?

On my last years tax return, I made 23k after taxes (I was a student for half the year), however, I am currently working in Australia making 70k AUD (50k usd) and amount to move back to the USA and start with a firm making 50k USD.

Any insight on which income (current or last year) I should state?

Does foreign income count? Did you check into that? If not, you'll need to get a co sponsor.

Also, are you sending in proof you have ties to an address in the US, or have made steps already to move back. I too am a petitioner living outside the US, and I know I have to prove domicile.

It is not the Social Security Amount he has to put there but the GROSS ANNUAL INCOME which appears in his ITR. And it should be for the year 2016 as the tax for this year will only be filed by 2018.

    Hope this helps! Good luck!

One last thing. There is no GROSS ANNUAL INCOME on his transcript. There is...Total Social Security Benefits.... Total Income... And Adjusted Gross Income (which is the same amount to as the Total Income)

    Which would I use?

The sponsor is you. So this question asks about the relationship of the co-sponsor to you, since you are the sponsor: Father is the answer.

I think there is a field called "Other" right down below all these bulleted options: You can write Retired in that field.

It is not the Social Security Amount he has to put there but the GROSS ANNUAL INCOME which appears in his ITR. And it should be for the year 2016 as the tax for this year will only be filed by 2018.

I am the sponsor and I filled out my I134 already and I put fiance on that line. So my dad, who is the co sponsor also fills out that line in regards to the beneficiary, not me, as it's the beneficiarys details above it. OR is it me? That just wouldn't make any sense. So, I am thinking that the "Relationship to Sponsor" question is in regards to Tony, and his relationship to the co sponsor is future son in-law.  RIGHT???

There is no "other" option. It is only what I wrote. Maybe an earlier version had it, but not the one dated 11/30/2016

He has all his transcripts for the last 3 years. We'll look for that amount.

    Thanks!!!

  6. My father is filling out his co-sponsor form, and I have questions...

    • is "future father-in-law" an OK answer for Part 2, Question 7 "Relationship to Sponsor"?
    • How should he fill out Part 3 as a Retiree? Questions 1 only has Employed as....    or Self employed as....
      • Where where would he write he is retired?
      • And from what I was last told, he would put is Social Security amount he is given for 2017 in "My annual income is" space. Is that correct?

This is seriously the last detail that we need, and our packet and trip are booked for the Medical and interview.

That's not correct, all 3 pages mentioned are legit.

I am from Germany and had to work with all those pages during my process but I think it kinda depends on where you live.

Must be that, as I never had to go to them fro my process. But you are Germany, so they should ask those in their country forum to be sure. I too wonder why they don't have a government address. So I can see the questioning of authenticity.

    Hi Guys,

Sorry to ask this again but my previous question was deeply buried and nobody answered in a different thread. I am just so worried to be tricked as nowadays there are a lot of fishing website.

Is http://www.ustraveldocs.com a legit site? If it is, why it is not .gov?

Is https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ the site to pay the visa fee and make the visa interview appointment? Why it is not .gov?

Is https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ the site for the DS160? Since it is .gov, I suppose it is all good.

This is quite confusing as such a simple thing requires so many strange sites. Are they all legit? Thanks!

Sorry, another question, my USC fiance never told USCIS or NVC my email address. If the consulate were to send an email to me as Packet 3, should I contact the consulate first? (USCIS and therefor NVC should have my postal address so if they were to post the Packet 3, that should not be a problem.)

    Cheers!

This is the site to fill out the DS-160, so you were correct

    https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

You should go to the Armenian sub page on VJ and get the details of where you make your appointments and pay. For me, it was all on the same link and done together.

On the I-129 petition, it asked for your email. I don't think it can be updated now, but call the NVC and/or the US Embassy in Armenia to ask.

Those two other pages don't look legitimate to me (non government, third party)

K1 visa denied due to admission during medical exam of previously experimenting with marijuana but blood and urine was clean because it was a one time thing.  We were given a letter that we could go back no earlier than March 2018.  Will we have to reapply or reschedule the exam?  Also, are we going to have a fair chance?  Now we have time should we get married and reapply.. would our chances be better?

So, what do they want you to do the next time... deny ever doing it? Sounds like entrapment to me. If the tests came back clean what the f more do they want. This is ridiculous.

Why don't you try a safe house? The guy who helped us fill the immigration paper work recommmeded somebody down in Juarez we got in contact with him and he is gonna charge us 50 dollars a day including transportation to where we need to go..

I think we just wanted the less stressful approach. Not needing to buy grocery's and being literally a walk away from all appointments, so we only need ride to/from airport. I wish two appointments could happen in one day realistically so we could be in and out in two days. Juarez is literally the last place I ever wanted to see in my 8 years in Mexico.

  11. This is proving to be more stressful then filling out any of the applications. Can anyone who has been to Juarez recently, recommend a hotel? I have been on trip advisor for the last 3 hours, and every hotel that is close to the Consulate area are not very good. Rude staff, sewage smell, dirty, poor breakfast...and so on. We are really running low on $, but I also don't want to sleep on concrete and cockroaches. We are only there for 2 nights, and with the appointments being so spread out, we have alot of down time. And with Juarez not being a nice city in the slightest, we will be at the hotel alot, and prefer to stay around the "safe zone" of the Consulate. Please help!

I am trying to schedule an interview online but it keeps coming up as there are no appointments available :(

Keep checking. but it is my understanding, they only release 1-1.5 months of dates. But a day could pop up. I've read were people have checked multiple times a day, and then a day all of a sudden appears. Keep at it. We took the first one available, and that is the end of August.

Having a surprisingly difficult time finding a straight answer to Part 1 question 12 of the I-134:

I'm a US citizen by birth and have never held permanent residence in another country. Do I simply put my birthdate?

The sample i-134 is very out of date, but in it they appear to do just that.

I was told not to answer it.

Yeah, when I asked all my question, someone in this forum last week gave me great responses. Someone else said to refer to the sample on this site. They obviously never seen it. It's an old version and it's now twice as long and asks more questions...the ones I needed help with.

    Hey guys

has anyone booked their interview and printed off their confirmation page?

Could someone please tell if this confirmation page has the applicants name and case number on it?

The doctors need proof of name and case number and we haven't recieved an email/letter as of yet.

    Thanks!

Yes ours did have all the same as the previous post. And also where we selected to get the visa from (which DHL location). But we can't use this for our Embassy/Consulate. If we don't get the invitation letter prior to going, then before any appointment (we have three in Mexico) we have to go to the consulate early and get it from the information window.

    Hi

Don't worry,  I had the same issues regarding those last parts in the process.  I am gonna assume your case is at the embassy and you got the packet 3/invite letter in hand or that you're flying to Juárez to get it printed out there,  your DS-160 has no expiration date,  once you've electronically signed it you're good to go to the payment site and do it, only after they have received your payment they will let you schedule your appointments (biometrics and interview),  then you're good to schedule the medical in any of the official clinics, you need to get all your paperwork ready while you wait for the interview,  it takes around one month to have an open date in the embassy,  so I'd suggest to pay ASAP and schedule your appointment.

Best of luck, feel free to message me if you have more questions about the process

Thank you! All went well. Did everything on friday, and our appointments in Juarez are on August 28, 29 and 30th!!!! Now, the cost of the flights there have broke the bank. Domestic travel in this damn country is disgusting....It cost me $800usd for two people and that is with a 10 hr layover in CDMX. Reason 836794586739457349 I need to leave Mexico.

I don't know about you, But my noa2 only has 4 months on it. It got approved 28th June and priority date says 27th October. I think that means by then I will have had to have my interview. Maybe you only have so long and December is out of that range.

I'm from uk so not sure if different embassies have different rules.

From my understanding it is 4 months, but that the embassy has the authority to extend it out. If you do not want to proceed now, then I would definitely contact them and see if your embassy is automatic in the extension or not.

hi guys, so something weird happened to my case status. yesterday the "case last updated" date changed to 16-July from 28-June originally. has anybody seen this before and what do you think this means?

ps - i have not been able to move forward and schedule my interview despite my case being ready weeks ago because my embassy is taking forever to send me packet 3. =(

Not everyone gets a packet 3. I, and many others proceeded without it and created the account, paid and now have the appointments. People have gone to the interview and still didn't receive a packet 3. Definitely call your Embassy/Consulate and verify
