It's too early for you to call NVC at this time when they said they received your documents 8/2. 

Hello Fellow Vjrs  All of you out First of all Godbless on your Journeys to be together!!! This site has very very informative n helpful over and over and again i need your knowledgable help once again!!! My Fiancee Liezel and I celebrated the birth of daughter Yurie on june 16 😉 Our little Princess ! Problem is that Our approved petition and all Our info was already sent to the Embassy in Manila which just notified Us that my Fiancee Liezel can now schedule a Visa interview,my first question is since Our daughter Yurie was born and im an American Citizen ,does that give Our daughter the right to get a US passport and before My Fiancee Schedules her interview how can she now add our daughter Yurie ,so when Liezel has her interview both her and Our daughter Yurie are approved at the same interview as of course so they can travel together to me!!! Also i would like to ask since the process took so long and some Liezels needed documents have expired,such as police clerence,and others is there a place online where we could order renewels of these documents or A place in or close to Rosario,Batangas as thats where we have a place!!!! Ionly mention that its hard for Liezel to travel alittle sometimes because Our daughter was born C-section  Any knowledgeable help would be greatly appreciated  Thank you All

Approved this morning in Bogotá Colombia. Entire journey took 422 days. 

Visa Approved 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 Glory be to God🙏🏻Goodluck to the rest of you on this journey,my interview lasted for just 2mins the didn’t even ask me for supporting documents after going with trailer load of documents,anyways i thank God for his favor..for those of you that are still in the NVC stage make sure you frontload during the stage cos it makes things easier during the interview above all pray and be confident.

I feel my lawyer knows the nuts and bolts of filing paperwork, knowing the details of picking fiance vs spousal, the general path of the various ways of immigrating. His heart is in the right place of helping people in the immigration process. In terms of the bigger picture -- I feel he is 6 months behind in understanding what is going on currently. He frequently states that there is 'nothing malicious' going on, that the system is just overwhelmed, and that things will continue to go on, but maybe at a slower pace. I don't think my lawyer has any insight into, or desire to dig into or understand, legal implications of some of the increased barriers, including having a website down. I haven't asked him though --he only knew the website was down when I told him. I imagine that a lot of changes are uncharted territory, and I speculate that most lawyers just react to the change, rather the higher level thinking of questioning the change.

Thank you. That is what I sent, the cover sheet from my email. My lawyer has consistently over complicated things and given me wrong information. He told me that there are two cover sheets, with two addresses, told me to put information in the packets that is no longer required... thank goodness for visajourney! Glad to have people in the same boat, who know what is going on!

I received my coversheet via email from the NVC. If you've received correspondence from them, you should already have it as an attachment

Normally AOS and civil docs are sent in a single packet with one cover sheet. Call NVC to confirm.

Wow.. maybe the backlog is the cause of the delay.

First of all u need to relax .. you will get your welcome email soon which will guide u on a step by step process on how to do everything. U just got it so may be nothing is active yet. 
 
First thing is u need to fill up ds261
If u have a lawyer chose him as the agent
(If u are pivot case u won't be seeing this. )
 
Then pay the aos fee which is 120$it will also show up in a while. They must have just entered in the system .. give it some time for ur case to become active.  All the best

Thank you, this put things in perspective. I called again today, and I had a nice person on the phone. He didn't think it looked like anything was done to escalate my case, so he went ahead and did it. So... yeah, the person who I talked to who said "it would eventually be escalated," who i couldn't tell if she was actually doing anything, didn't seem to do anything. Glad I called again. 

Good news !!! I just got my case complete today. Now, I'm waiting for my interview date  . Does anyone know how long it takes to receive an interview letter?
