I filed on January 18th, Receipt Notice January 26th, Biometric Reuse February 11th... Nothing since then on my N400 application. Should I be worried?

Tampa Field Office is processing my case

There is nothing to worry about, I have almost similar timeline too.... I think they went silent mode after February 11 mass bio reuse for applicants......

It is a waiting game and not a worrying game with USCIS...

Congrats to everyone who received their interviews!

Meanwhile I'm sitting here going through USCIS data calculating my own processing time because that's probably more accurate than the website :D

    Using these:

Based on the data there, in the San Francisco field office there were about 38,500 applications pending when I filed. At the end of August there will be about 22,300 pending in front of me. At this rate my case will be done around mid-May 2022. Yes, I'm that bored and as a software developer I'm also considering creating an online unofficial N400 processing time calculator :D

I can help with the marketing side of the calculator!!!! 🤣🤣

Oh, I had it. I guess I didn’t know there was a paid version (not that I would have paid for it). It’s an app that uses some weird algorithms to predict the timing of your case. But now that I think about it, it is sort of risky to give that information.

I am in the same boat, I guess I can delete now since it only estimates when my case will get to interview and completion. I see no other benefits for the app now that I saw this, guess I just made someone else rich with my data.

Three new voters join the ranks today! I will share more details of the interview in the office review but got done with naturalization process today. They administered oath same day. From start to finish - took 1.5 hours. All the best to everyone still waiting!

Congratulation, enjoy yourself....The journey ends for you while the rest of us continue the waiting process......

The only plausible way for me is to reschedule my trip. If I can do the oath-taking on a later date that would be nice but Im doubtful you can reschedule an oath taking

I think you can reschedule oath ceremony, you might want to confirm with USCIS. You have the option of rescheduling anything with USCIS, the problem just lies in the fact that rescheduling with them sometimes do lead to missed opportunity, delayed and in some crazy scenario denial for a "NO SHOW" despite having a confirmed reschedule appointment.

    Hello,

I am getting ready to put together my I-751 and after following a few threads here the amount of evidence people are sending seems staggering. One persons package weighed 23lb!

So far I have got all the regular stuff together, finances, insurance, home ownership, trips away etc and I am confident my evidence will be way below 100 pages, maybe even below 50.

Which is right? I cannot help but think overloading and drowning the officers with 1000s of pages of evidence contributes to the problem of how slow the USCIS is.....or am I missing something and my I-751 is insufficient?

Would be interesting to hear how many pages (approx.) you guys sent.

    Thanks. Great forum as always.

IMO, I do not think the amount or weight of evidence is set in gold....each officer review your cases based on the standards. Submit evidence of bonafide marriage, joint financial, joint tax, regular stuff. I cannot remember the number of pages I sent but I can assure you it was way less than 100 pages. I think my tax return might have been the heaviest one of the documents.

    Wishing you luck and speed.......

    Hey y’all,

Does anyone know if it’s possible to reschedule an Interview?  I’m afraid they might do same-day oath or schedule the oath-taking couple weeks later because 5 days after my Interview date I’m going out of the country. Any advice?

    Thanks!

It is possible to reschedule your interview, just give them a call and give reason for the rescheduling. But be very sure you got a confirmation of the rescheduled interview. You do know rescheduling might put you way back again? Can you reschedule your trip instead?

    Hello fellow VJ members,

First I would like to thank in advance all those who answer and put forward recommendations to my questions.

My Green Card will be running out in 5 months time (A little behind I know) and I am looking to renew it rather than become a resident for the time being. I am filling out form I90 and had a few questions regarding what I should enter in some of the boxes.

    1. Box 6.a. In care of name

Would I put my name in this box, even though I am completing the paperwork myself with no help?

    2. Box 6.g. Province  & Box 6.h. Postal Code

Since I have a US address, am I right in saying that these boxes do not need to be filled out?

    3. Part 3 Item 1.

Not real sure what to put in this box, can it be the same as Item 2, In my case I was granted adjustment of status at the USCIS California Service Center?

As always, I am a little nervous submitting forms with mistakes, Especially since I am hoping to go to England (my home country) for Christmas if all goes well under the current world situations we are currently involved in. I would imagine that if the renewed Green Card does not arrive in time for that trip, there would be some temporary documentation I would receive to be able to re enter the States? (Hopeful/Wishful thinking, I know)

I appreciate you and your time,

    Thank You.

In question 1 Box 6.a.    In care of name ( simply mean if you are using someone else address that can pick up your mail, if for instance your name is not on the address, you can use the person whose name appear on the address)

question 2. just ignore anyone that is not applicable to you.... use your address and zip code and state.

    Good afternoon everyone,

Today I had my interview in Tampa USCIS Office.

There were SO MANY people this morning, it's just unbelievable - like, around 30 for the ceremony and huge line for 9am interview.  It seems to me that I was the only one without lawyer or interpreter, interesting fact...

The process  is standard I believe - checking the list with security guard before the entry, then all the security protocol, then I got my number from the front desk (is it a front desk? They assigned the number and told me to wait).

The officer was very neutral and I'm happy about it - not good, not bad, very official and very fast, eventually).

She asked to read a sentence from the tablet, then asked to write a sentence, and wright after asked couple of questions:

    - When the Declaration of independence was adopted?

    - How many voting members the House of Representatives has?

    - Why do some states have more Representatives then others?

    - Name three original states.

    - Name one war fought by the Unites States in the 1800.

After, she asked a couple of questions, like, if I'm still married, is this the same address we live in,  when did we buy it, then this list of question where we are supposed to say NO to everything).

Aaaand that's all. She gave me this N-652 form, where is mentioned that I passed the English test and the application has been recommended for approval, and said that the Letter for Oath Ceremony will come by mail within next 3-4 weeks, as soon as it will be sheduled.

So, that was it. 5-year journey is almost over. Still cant believe it)

And thank you, thank you to everyone who shared their stories, who submitted samples, who advised and supported.

I wish everyone only best of luck and hope that this certificates of naturalization will bring peace and prosperity to all of us.

    God speed and good luck!

Wow , congratulation on your journey completion.... it seems Tampa FL is the place to live right now especially with the speed they attend to USCIS issues.

My husband just received a notification this morning for biometrics appointment in July. His estimated time has hopped around at least 4 times since the application was submitted last October 2020.

Right now it currently says estimated time 14 months. It does appear that there is no pattern to how quick/long the process is going.

Also, we were originally told that Montgomery AL, was where he was going to be processed at, but the biometrics appointment letter says Atlanta, GA.

Has anyone else field office seem to have been changed?

      👁️‍🗨️

I think I read somewhere on this forum that Atlanta, GA is the original field office while Montgomery, AL is a sub-field of Atlanta. I am not sure how accurate this information is. Hey at least you have got action going for you!!!!

    Hello,

Does anyone know if the interview notice comes in the mail first or will I see it in the portal? I need to travel back home to renew my passport but potentially could be stuck out 2-3 weeks while it gets renewed. I need to know how much notice I will get :(

USCIS usually give you about 1 month notice and your interview notice usually pop on in the portal after about 24hrs and also look out for the notice in the mail. Is it possible you delay your travel back home your field office might be doing a same day day oath ceremony.
