I would also use any current and past lease documents... If both your names are there, then it should work.
About the notarized letters, I am not sure what difference it makes, but as I remember it, they do request them to be notarized.... We had ours done.
We do have the lease, and we just signed a new one last week. We'll submit that. I don't have the first lease we had from over a year before, but we did submit it with our AOS application so it should be on our file. I'll mention that in my statement.

Yes it could probably be done at another bank, but it would not serve any purpose right now. He has to get the RFE sent NOW and they want proof from the last two years.
Exactly. If were to make one now, it would just look sketchy and desperate.

We tried to get a joint bank account, but it's impossible because my wife's credit is terrible. Citibank flat out refused to get us one, so we never tried again. She never had a credit card, and I just got my first one a couple of months ago. As for health, my wife is on her parent's health plan, and I get mine through work. As I said, we are really young. Should I write about all those reasons in my RFE statement?

Do you guys think having the letters notarized would help?

Well, just got our lucky letter of RFE from CSC. Applied on 29 of December.
What's ironic is that I would REALLY rather have an interview, since we live on the same street and literally FIVE MINUTES of walking from where the Department of Homeland Security building is, where we had our AOS interview in downtown Los Angeles.
This is really frustrating to me that they would want more from someone our age. Why don't they just walk 5 minutes down the street and see us if so?
We are in our early 20s so we didn't have much. But here's what we sent:
1) Various photos of us together including us at recent wedding of my wife's brother.
2) Joint tax
3) Joint car insurance.
4) Joint electricity bill
5) Joint lease.
6) Letters adressed to both of us and seperately
7) Two affidavits from my wife's mom and our friend. (not notarized)
I might have missed something.
My question is.. We pretty much sent everything we've got. The only thing I can add is the new lease (just renewed it this week), and a recent medical bill for this address in my wife's name.
Any ideas/suggestions?

Can't wait to join you guys. Filed in the end of Dec, just about 2 months so far for me as well.
-
Infopass is a waste of time.
-
Probably best to wait for the 5Y mark. Better safe than sorry. Think about it, 2 years extra is really not THAT long.
-
My bio was a day later. Hopefully my approval is also around the corner.

Read the instructions for the I-751.
Late filing! You can file with a letter of explanation.
Yes, will do that. Only option really. I have some evidence of the financal situation not being too healthy. I can't believe we didnt get any notification though, we would have acted a lot sooner. I know I should be on top of these things but I've had so much going on lately.
USCIS only recently started notifying people to do their ROC. They weren't doing so ever before, august included. I filed in december and havent gotten any notification either. This is a very serious situation, however since you have a child I would think it's unlikely they would deport you, but take care of it asap.

I filed on 28Dec I think and had bio on 4Feb... Hopefully mine gets approved as fast!

This scares the hell out of me.
-
That's because there usually isn't an interview.
-
I actually got TWO touches after bio — one the same day bio was taken, and one the day after.
-
Sorry, I was referring to the LA office on Pico. I went back the same day at 3:30 and they were able to process me. Honestly, I just want my application to be processed before that flood of 80k applications from VSC come in.
-
sounds like someone got excited for no reason. lol.
-
Our local ASC is on my way to work, so I decided to stop by and see if I can get my biometrics earlier. The guy said that there were too many people right now, but he has the right to do so when there's 10 people or less at the office, and if I came back same day at 3:30 he will be able to get me in. So, if you're planning to do walk-in, just make sure you pick a time to come when there's less than 10 people in there.
-
Any confirmation for this? I know I'm being selfish, but hopefully this isnt true (my app is at CSC now).
-
I dont know why you got a 10 year card, but since they gave you one, why argue with them? Enjoy. Or do you miss USCIS that bad? :]
-
You're good. Doesn't matter.
-
Ours took two weeks, however it could have been because of the new years.
-
Holy ####### that was fast. I just sent to CSC as well, hopefully mine will be as fast as yours. Congrats.
-
nope, your husband is still your sponsor, even if he doesnt want to be anymore. you're fine
and, if you file for a divorce, you need to file for removal of conditions RIGHT when you get the divorce papers.
-
, and if he doesn't change his ways then you will have to leave.
WRONG
You're already a permanent resident (doesn't matter that it's conditional), you don't have to leave unless you want to. You can get divorced and apply for removal of conditions. If your marriage was real, you'll have no problem getting a 10-year green card. Good luck!
CSC RFE.

Well, ours was most likely not an accident. We didn't have major stuff like a bank account. I'm trying to add my wife to the credit card I recently got right now. (which i should have probably done earlier)
