Ok just trying to get an idea of how things are going for March filers.

Comment below on who's waiting for EAD, AOS or both. If you got approved how long did you wait, was there an RFIE or RFE, and type of visa originally filed i.e. K1 (fiancée visa)

Yes I could just go through everyone's timeline but this puts it all in one place for everyone.

I know each case is different and I shouldn't use other peoples to figure out mine. But I'm impatient! And now that the wait is. Beyond the 90 days I have the itch. I know there are people still waiting well beyond 100 days and it's sad.

Thanks ahead to anyone who posts!

    K-1 Visa

    03-01-17 Sent AOS + EAD + AP

    03-03-17 Case was received (EAD/AP)

03-07-17 Fingerprint fee was received (AOS)

    03-17-17 Letter of biometrics appointment

    03-28-17 Biometrics

    No RFE/RFIE

    Total days: 112 (EAD/AP) 108 (AOS)

I don't know which office I belong to, but my NOA says National Benefits Center. I guess my field office is Chicago. (if someone could explain me how this works I would appreciate! :))

I found mine via the following link. After the search there was an envelope icon that I clicked on next to their picture. I haven't heard anything yet I think it's accurate at least I hope so. It may also depend on the office their in but I would think they all would have the same means of communication.

Where can you find the email for a congressman? I can only find a form for immigration issues to be filled out that needs to be faxed for my congressman

Maybe you could give your congressman office a call. I went to the office in person without an appointment, because it was very close to my house. I just wanted explain my situation, ask how this procedure works and to make sure what evidence should I send them to expedite my case. They were very considerate and fast. I think is worth the try!

  3. Hello all,

Yesterday I contacted my local congressman office to expedite my AP and today they called me with news.

They told me that my EAD/AP might take 3 months to be send (I guess USCIS officer just provided the processing times from the website) so they are going to expedite my request. I just sent them evidence by e-mail, now let's see how it goes, but so far they were very fast and nice.

The good news is that they told me my interview has been waived! At least something :)

Thank you all for the support and help, I will send updates as soon as have any.

I got the same thing and we are either on the same number of days since received or one apart.

I think they are using the processing times 'as of' date, which is strange since the 90 day thing is independent of that.

I literally just got an update saying card produced. You might not be that far away.

Congrats! Hopefully we will have news by the end of the week

Sry for what u are going through but I am sure that u will make it for your wedding in September. Our formal wedding is at the end of September too n I am hoping that I will get my EAD n AP way before that. Stay the strong n dot be discourage. PD 4/28/17. One love

Thank you for the support! I am just sick of the lack of information that costumer service provide us :( But there is still time until September!

  7. Hi all,

It took me a little while to write here about my experience with USCIS costumer service, because I am still a little upset, but I think it's important to share and maybe you have some advice regarding this situation.

I am adjusting from K1 and I filed for AOS, EAD and AP on March 3rd, and got my biometrics on March 28th. Got no RFE/RFIE so far. My cases are pending for more than 90 days.

So on June 7, I requested an inquiry about the status of my EAD. I did it by phone, since I was not able to do it online (somehow this form wasn’t available). I checked my case history online and one day later it was assigned to an officer and completed. But I never received any responses on it.

Right now, getting the advance parole is the most important thing to me, because I have to come back to Brazil in September to my formal wedding. So later, on June 9 I requested to expedite my AP. I talked to a Tier 2 Officer, and he was really nice and helpful but he seemed to be training someone during the call. During our talk we discovered that that the person who did my last inquiry wrote my e-mail incorrectly, and he supposedly corrected it. On June 16 I got a letter from NBC telling me they would not grant me the expedite because I didn’t provide evidence for my request. The thing is I never received any request for evidence.

I called them again yesterday, and discovered that my e-mail was still incorrect, and I am pretty sure I missed something due to this. And now the SR representative is telling me that I am unable to have another expedite for 30 days.

I am sorry for writing such a long post, but I am very disappointed with all this situation. I really would like you not to judge me because I asked to expedite my AP because of my wedding - I’ve seen many persons that don’t agree with expedites being granted to this kind of “emergency”, but I really planned this months ahead and never expected it to take this long. I have the felling that I going to be the one person who takes 200 days to get approve.

I tried to schedule an Infopass apointment, but there are not dates available. So I think my next move is trying to contact a Congressman, but I have no idea how to do it. Actually everything I did so far (inquiry, expedite, how to talk to a Tier 2 Officer) was only possible because of all of the information I found here, so I thank you all for that.

Sorry again for the long post!

I tried to call uscis customer service since it's been 30 days since i last raised my SR and 120 days since my PD. Unfortunately, i got connected to a very rude customer service, she said i should not call again since my case is still under current processing time, that i should just wait. I asked her when is the best time to follow up?  she said NOOOOO you dont need to call again, she said it over and over again.  :( i just want to cry.

I am sorry for that :( Yesterday I called USCIS and I also got connected to a really rude customer service. Her mic was not working properly and she just refused to repeat the questions. Is very frustrating how a few of these persons have no training dealing with people. Later I tried again and luckily a really nice person answered.
