My mom immigrant visa got approved, 6 basic questions, no documents required, I brought all the original that were scanned to CEAC but the officer didn't ask for anything except for her birth certificate which he returned and police certificate which he kept.
She is coming to the US next month🎉
Good luck everyone

My mom got her medical and vaccine at Servicios Médicos Consulares, they told her they are going to send the results straight to the embassy but I thought she would have to pick them up, they told her she is just picking up the vaccine card.
Is that normal?
She takes hypertension medication, could it have something to do with that?

I'm petitioning my mother IR5, she just got the enail with interview date but it doesn't have any attachment, so we don't have a letter.
Do they send a letter or just that email?

Does anyone have an idea how long it take for the embassy to review your request. I just got my second response from the NVC which states:
Dear Sir/Madam:
We are reviewing your request for expedited processing of this immigrant visa petition. We will notify you with the results when the review is complete.
Please note that only the U.S. Embassy or Consulate has the ability to approve or deny expedite requests.
So I'm making the assumption they have forwarded my request to the Embassy in my wife's country. Any clues on how long this review will take?
I got the same response on April 30, I submitted my expedite on April 15, called NVC yesterday and they told me they forwarded to the embassy in Santo Domingo on April 30, no decision on my expedite yet. 21 days and counting

Will keep you posted

I requested for an expedite from NVC for my parents they’re in the Dominican Republic. Does anyone knows how long is it take for they to respond?
i send it on April 10th and on April 24 they sent me an email saying that it was under review and I’m still waiting 🤷🏻♀️
I'm in the same boat, sent mine on April 15th, got the email saying they are reviewing it on April 30th and haven't gotten any decision yet, called NVC and they said they forwarded the expedite to the Embassy on April 30. We are IR5 Dominican Republic as well.
Our PD is July 3, 2020
NVC received April 8, 2021
Documents submitted on April 14.
Good luck

When I got this email it took another day to get the approval. They sent it to you on Friday so you’ll probably get a response today or tomorrow in the evening. My response came after 5:30pm.
😍😍Thank you so much for replying I'm looking forward to recieve their response. Will post when I recieve the decision.

Hey, can you please tell me how long did it take for you to get a decision after the email saying they were reviewing your expedite?
I sent my expedite April 15, on April 30 I got an Email saying they were reviewing my expedite and when the review is complete they were going to let me know about their decision. I called NVC today and they told me they forwarded the email to the Embassy for review on April 30, I'm petitioning my mother in Dominican Republic.

Update husband had interview yesterday the only documents he needed was his passport, police certificate, marriage license and his birth certificate. He had all the documents on the pre interview checklist and the translated copies and they didn’t need it they told him. I’m was shocked. I went through a lot trying to organize and get all of the documents on that list.
Congratulations. You don't need translations if the interview will be held in your country of birth.

Unfortunately yes, I believe you go back in line.

That is optional but, if your birth was registered a year or more after you were born you need to provide additional evidence, I got a RFE for that so I sent them my baptismal certificate which has my parents name, a letter from my mother explaining why she registered my birth late, photos, birth certificate from all my sisters (even though they are older than me hour births were registered the same day) and also submitted a cover letter. I got the case approved 2 weeks after replying to the RFE.

Has anybody gotten IL for their parent?
I would like to have an idea on what DQ date the embassy in Santo Domingo is interviewing.
My mothers PD is July 3, 2020
Still waiting on NVC to DQ her documents.
Can I estimate another 12 months wait, if so I just want to relax and forget about the case for awhile. Immigration processes stress me out a lot and I can't deal with this amount of stress right now.

We are filing to bring my husbands parents here from Morocco and aside from the Affidavit of Support, they are requesting that we upload civil documents. The following is their list of requested documents, with my question beside it....
1. Petitioners Marriage Certificate (Is this for his parents of my husband? We are petitioning for his parents to come, but I'm not sure who they are requesting it from.)
2. Petitioners Birth Certificate (Once again, us or his parents)
3. Passport Biometric Page (What the heck is that? I know them separately but not in the same sentence... lol)
4. Photographs (You would think they could be more specific! A photo for their Visa I'm assuming??)
5. Birth Certificate (Theirs or my husbands??)
6. Marriage Certificate (Theirs or ours??)
7. Police Certificate (Obvious...)
Seems like back in the day these documents were so much easier! But if anyone can help me it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!! 🙂
Missy
When you start uploading the documents it will tell you whose documentation you are going to submit.
In the Civil Documents section I had to submit my marriage certificate and birth certificate and then birth certificate, passport bio page, marriage certificate, 2x2 photos, and police certificate for my mother. That's all they asked for

Santo Domingo, Dom Rep. I'm thinking we are getting close to an interview anyway and we don't want to seem that we are trying to push. Our primary concern is that the little one will need to be enrolled in Kindergarten next school year and hopefully she will be here in time for that to happen.
We would like to know if there is a way to find out which month they are interviewing for in Santo Domingo - that would at least give us a gauge. Is there a way to find out that information?
You are close to getting your interview letter, I have seen IR and CR cases with DQ May-June 2020 getting their IL this month in Santo Domingo.
Good luck
