did you guys try with a different bowser? safari , mozilla, chrome etc?

for eg everyone recommended to use mozilla firefox but for me it didn't work , the session was timed out before even filling in a row , so i did it with no interruption with safari..

    i don't know , i am just suggesting...

Thank you! We tried a few different ones. Thankfully once we actually submitted it, it worked!!

Yes same here. I had to go back and fill it out again. I have a question how your beneficiary received a notice from USEM that your case is ready and it's ready for interview. Thanks!

Paul still has not received any notice. We only knew it was ready by tracking our case in the CEAC website.

  3. Hey guys,

did anyone ever have an issue with information not saving in the DS-160?

In the "family information" section it asks for address of fiancée.  I enter in the street, city, state and zip.

It looks like it's saving, but every time we go back into it the state and zip code remove!!! Both Paul and I have tried it and the state and zip don't stick.. I tried calling several number and talked to someone in Manila. No one has been able to help and my attorney has no clue what the issue is...

When you got your passport pics for submitting 129F - did they give you a digital one too?  If they know it's for US immigration, they usually do

Same pic from March is OK

If not, go back to picture place to see if they can scan yours, or just take a new one for uploading.  They should have given you a digital copy of it anyways so maybe this one will be free gratis???????

Same guidelines apply, 2x2, white background, no smiling HAHAHAHA

Unfortunately we never thought to ask them for it.. I think I'll just have him go take new ones! My attorney sucks. He didn't even tell us this.. he gave a short response after I asked and said "no new photos".

    Ridiculous!

    Thanks again!

    You need a digital copy!

Just a heads up - get them to put it on a USB stick.. if they email it to you sometimes the email for example Hotmail or yahoo.com will shrink the size of the photo so when you upload it, it will not work! creates a lot of stress!

I had to pay $30 to get my digital photo where my passport photos were only $7.50! Canadian.

That being said my original photo I uploaded was not working! so I had to get it retaken - funny thing is when I went back they said "oh yes we were having troubles with our flash!" you think they would have known that. So make sure the flash is really good otherwise the quality of the photo wont pass the Ds160 page.

Thank you this is a big help!

  6. Does anyone have an attorney that they feel is slowing them down??? My case was set to "ready" 2 days ago now and he is just now saying he will get to my DS160 and NOT to schedule the interview yet?!?! Are you kidding me? I'm so beyond frustrated. I called the Manila embassy yesterday and they told me the next avail date was Oct 2nd! He said we need to wait to schedule until we have everything. I am upset. This is ridic. If we wait... the interview dates are gonna fricken go out to November. He kept saying "the embassy doesn't even have the case yet" and I said, "umm, actually they do and I have the case number and was advised ok to schedule interview by the embassy".

Im just venting here and I don't want to rush things and have it wrong but this is ridiculous. I could do it all myself. I even emailed him the screenshot showing the case was "ready"... ugh man I tell ya guys, this is killing me..

We got a letter from the NVC stating our package was sent to the embassy. The agency I used to process my documents sent me the list of required documents and said we can schedule the appointment. I was told 7 days then told 5 days. Wanted to check with other folks and hear their experience.

That's so interesting.. We never got a letter or anything 🤔🤔Its all so confusing haha

    Hello,

If we book the interview on a friday, is it ok to have your medical on the monday before? I have been hearing conflicting stories on when to space out

the medical and the interview. I do understand that the medical can take 2 days. It's just that my fiance lives in Tacloban and will need to stay possibly a week in Manila just for the interview and medical which sounds a bit extreme. Anyone have any experience with St Lukes and Embassy appointments. Also the medical is a first come first serve system. So hopefully she gets there bright and early lol. Thanks!! Almost there!

I called the Manila embassy last night and they recommended 2 weeks prior just to be safe.. Paul lives way south in General Santos and will probably end up having to go there 2 times. Did your fiancee receive a call or email from the embassy once they received your case? Just curious

    Good luck to you guys!

08/23/17. VISA APPROVED! Interview really went well! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yessss I am so happy for you! Congrats! Our case finally reached the Manila embassy yesterday. Did they call or email you when they received your case? Did you have to mail in a packet? Our attorney isn't telling us much and it's making me nervous... Paul missed a call yesterday and we were afraid it was the embassy..

as far as I know, the moment you have your MNL Case # you can now schedule your appointment at the USEM, but make sure your fiance has paid the visa interview fee at a BPI Branch, and once he's paid, it will take about 8 hours for the payment to reflect online prior to scheduling the interview appointment. Last Monday I checked the next available time slot for an interview at the USEM and it was Sept 19. Probably will be around Sept 2X by now for the next available appointment. And of course, once the interview has been scheduled, your fiance can gather the information needed for the interview, and also do the St Lukes 2 day Medical Exam too.

Here's a guide (Philippines US Embassy only)

Thank you so much! Our case finally says it's in transit now! I think you and I have a really similar timeline! I wonder when they will be calling Paul.. I'd imagine it will be at the embassy any day now

If you already have the number, you don't really need the letter or email...which is good because I'm not sure they always send those and, if so, sometimes it takes a while.

Not sure how long is the case there, because that can vary too, but the norm is just a few days. I think they claim 2-4 when someone asks for things to be corrected while the case is there, and that's why they refer you to the Embassy to do some changes in address or consulate. Of course, there's always rare exceptions of the case being stuck there longer.

Thank you very much! Our case is now showing in transit.. Now we are just wondering when he will get a phone call!
