YES FINALLY! I'm so glad you got it... now hopefully we will start seeing early Nov. NOA2s receive something...

  2. Looks like 2 more people with NOA2 from Oct 30 got a case number Monday and yesterday:

So what I want to know is, were they in the same shipment with people with NOA2s from Oct 30 who got their case number a week ago? Was NVC slow to process them? Or did USCIS not sent all Oct 30 petitions at the same time?

Hit 6 weeks tomorrow from NOA2 approval. Does it even help to scan the 179 form and do all the c*ap they ask to investigate? I took a break from VJ for a week due to anxiety.

I'm at that point too... not sure if a break is what I need or not.

I scanned and emailed mine already. Week 7 for me. Not sure if it helps or not, but at least now they have documentation that you inquired about it. But essentially I think it's just like it will get there when it gets there.

  4. Guys I kind of doubt anyone knows the answer to this, but it's worth a shot. We saw a lot of the same NOA2 dates (mostly Oct 27-31) receive case numbers from NVC at very different times. Since these were all approved in the same range of 5 days, I'm wondering if they were all shipped at the same time, and it took NVC 2 weeks or so to process all of them, so that's why there's up to a 2 week or so difference in when people got the NVC number...

The other possibility is that they were not mailed at the same time, and that's why there's a difference in NVC received date... I'm definitely overthinking this but I'm so tired of hearing "No, we don't have your case. Just wait to hear something from us". Just trying to predict the unpredictable... when will I get my case number! :(

Just a quick concern, are people also putting the NVC left date, just a concern as alot of users have no NVC left day so i worry if users are forgetting to put it, or if the NVC are holding them for that long?

I'm guessing most people forget to fill out the timeline after that? Most people that have actually reached NVC and are active in the group seem to report being at NVC for just a few days.

2 weeks sound reasonable, but 7+ weeks is not reasonable; something must have happened to cause the delay and obviously, we are not privy to that information. Hopefully, the Dec 14th batch will reach soon and I will get the case #, by Friday.

I'm wondering if they will actually work a full day on Friday though. My office and most other offices are closing early.

hehe! I wasn't told it would reach by Friday. I was told to call back to check the status as the status would change to received if it has reached NVC. NVC may or may not admit at that stage they have received it. so, this is just one additional way to confirm that it reached NVC and then wait for few more days for NVC to acknowedge and generate case number.

It's also quite possible for it to reach even before friday and case # might be generated as well, in which case I have to reason to callback USCIS.

Ok thanks for clarifying- please keep us updated. Hopefully we will both get good news soon, although I'm worried it may take until the first week of January since it's the holiday season..

Guys! After almost 2 months I finally have my NVC number assigned! It was assigned yesterday, December 18th. So:

    NOA1 : May 15th 2017

    NOA2: October 27th 2017

NVC Number assigned: December 18th 2017

I'm going to update my timeline right away!

OMG FINALLY!!! CONGRATS!!! I hope everything will go quickly for you now, and I hope the rest of us get good news soon!

Good news. Did they state that your case file has actually left the USCIS and is on it’s way to the NVC?

@heartinKorea managed to find out that their case file only left the USCIS this week.

@Enrico_S Did you get the Nov 22 date from Visa Journey's graph? That graph isn't accurate unfortunately. There's not a single person with a NOA2 in Nov. who's gotten word from NVC. @kannan and I both were told ours were sent out on Thursday, December 14th, but we've heard conflicting things about how long it will take now that it's actually in the mail. Best of luck to you. I hope they can send it quickly for you.

I was told that mine was transferred to NVC ON Dec 14. So, it should reach NVC by the end of this week. USCIS rep told me to call back on Friday and he can tell me if that has been received by NVC by checking on the status.

That's great! I just assumed that the last thing they can verify was whether it was sent or not. I didn't know that they know whether or not it's been received by NVC. If NVC tells me they don't have it on Friday, then I'll call a tier 2 as well.

Just got off the phone with a tier 2 from uscis to ask if my case has been sent to nvc. Apparently it’s sent somewhere else once it’s approved. “So when was it sent.” Replies, “we don’t know.”  Lol. Then he gives me the 90 days treatment. At this rate my valid approval notice will expire before the nvc even gives me a case number.

Try back and see if you can find a more helpful one.. they have access to the info, but I think some don't want to help or don't know where to look. When I talked with a tier 2 who told me they finally sent it to NVC on Dec 14th, he had to put me on hold for around 5 minutes while he looked for the info.

The 90 day thing is BS.
