So for NVC a birth certificate AND marriage license is needed even tho they already have it from the first step the form I-130???

Yes, they ask for documents that have been submitted before. This is what I included in mine...

    IV PACKET:

    NVC Bar Coded Cover Letter

    Biographical Data of Beneficiary's Passport

    Beneficiary's Birth Certificate with Translation

    Marriage Certificate with Translation

    Police Certificate with Translation

    Military Record with Translation

    AOS PACKET:

    NVC Bar Coded Cover Letter

    My I-864

My Tax Exemption for 2016 (been living abroad with husband, if you have been in US and working, disregard this. If in US and NOT working, submit Tax Exemption Affidavit which can be typed by yourself explaining why you did not file taxes and sign it)

My Joint Sponsor's 2016 Taxes along with W2 and Pay Stubs

Joint Sponsor's Employment Letter (Not needed but it definitely helps)

Joint Sponsor's Biographical Data of Passport

Domicile Proof (This is ONLY for people who have filed and are living with spouse abroad. It is a statement declaring intent to re-establish a domicile within the US. Otherwise, disregard this.)

    My biographical data of Passport

    My Birth Certificate.

I made a replica of each packet for myself. Which means one IV and AOS Packet I sent to NVC, one IV Packet and AOS Packet I kept for myself.

Once organized, I wrote my case number (NVC Case Number) on EVERY paper/document so in case they misplace it, they can easily place back within my case file.

    Hope this helps.

    Well I'm second then...

    Filing Date: August 21 2017

    Who: My wife (USC)

    Type: Cr1, form I-130

    NOA 1: August 28 2017

    Waiting Time: 1 Week.

    Case Center Transferred: NSC.

    To be continue...

P.S Suggested to the MOD, Admin the forum to pin, this thread not to got lost behind the pages, since this is a good idea!

Dont worry, the NOA1 does usually take a week. But NOA2 could take months especially if you receive RFE as I did.

  3. Hello to all. I know there is plenty rfe threads but I haven't seen recent ones.

Why don't we state with our filing date, for who and where from , what type of visa and what center , when received rfe and how long waiting for response. So that we can all keep track and maybe just maybe not feel like we are the only ones waiting.

    I'll go first;

    Filing Date: October 31, 2016

    Who: My husband (Egypt)

    Type: Cr1, form I-130

    Rfe Received: May 19, 2017

    Responded: June 29, 2017

Waiting Time: 60 Days, no response still

    Center: TSC

  4. That's exactly how I feel. I didn't receive a 2nd RFE... yet. I hope not. But I did receive one back in May, responded in June and now we are in August and I am still waiting.. Hoping its an approval. my husband and I were talking and wondering if it's a 2nd RFE but we even said "what more could they want? for us to be intimate in front of them?!? our lungs?" Its just too much they expect..

That's exactly what I meant. Also, evidence of shared address (letters to each or both of you addressed to the same place) is good!

This is egypt so there's not many letters I can provide with our names. Luke light and gas bill aren't paid to a company, they're paid to the landlord. I do have a cellphone contract here under but my just my name. Maybe it'll help showing I do live here. And we did open the bank account but I'm scared they'll see the bank account is recently opened. Or do they not care about the time its been opened as long as we share it?

It means a lot to me that you help, really thank you :)

How long have you been married? All the evidence you suggest is good. Any documentation of shared address is also good (e.g. letters addressed to both of you).

Been married for 1 year and 3 months. I have been living in his country for 9 months now. Unfortunately for chat logs, it seems I can't recover them since my account was hacked during that time. And he deleted his before we even considered filing.

I did send photos, affidavits from family, marriage certificate and flight tickets before but they still want more. So since I'm living with him now, I was thinking maybe writing a letter of bonafide marriage, opening up a bank account with him, sending my residence visa to show I'm living with him and more photos would help. What do you all think?

  7. So I files my cr1 petition on October 31, 2016. I revived my rfe on may 20.

It basically asks for more proof of bona fide marriage. When I sent my application I did send pictures, our marriage certificate as well as translations, flight tickets and affidavits of friends and family.

They still ask for more proof. Now when I married I went back to the US and my husband and I didn't share any financial accounts due to distance so there'd be no point. Now when I sent my application Oct 31, I came to live with my husband. He added me to his bank account 1 week before the rfe. If I send a bank statement of that, more pictures, my last flight ticket, my residence visa here in his country showing we live together as well as letter of bonafide marriage, would it help ?I need advice. :/

    YES!!!!!! FINALLY!!!

Just got approved today, my case was transferred out of Nebraska on March 15 to Texas! And finally!!!!! Almost 6 months in a half of wait! Hope everyone is getting closer or got approved already? Been waiting since October 26th very frustrating but patience is key!

Congratulations!  Did you get approved around the VJ estimated timeline? You know where it says when you may be adjudicated.

My PD is Oct 31 and I got transferred from Nebraska to Texas on March 23 so we are close..

  9. Look at it this way, it could have been fraud, it could not have been. The fact that you two were married for so long and had children shows she did and does love you. We don't know what is in her head. Maybe once she got to the US she had a change of heart and felt her possibilities were more open. Maybe it's after giving birth. ( I do sometimes fear my husband will become "americanized" and find someone else there, not by fraud but people sometimes change in the US) Whatever the reason, let her go if she persists on the idea of divorce. You can try working it out a bit but if she continues then there is nothing you can do. At least you tried to sabe the marriage. But don't worry about the reason of why she is divorcing. Fraud or not. Let that be with God. You tried your best. In the end, you're better off without them than being in a marriage where they feel stuck. It'll hurt for some time but we all bounce back up. Keep your head up

Just got approved. The RFE caused a delay of about two weeks. That was because I used the embassy's translation template but didn't put the translator's certification on it:

    https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing

    Certification by Translator

[typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and [enter appropriate language] languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled [enter title of document].
    Signature
    Typed Name
    Address
    Date

    Congratulations! What was your PD?

I'm sooooo stressed out.. i can't sleep at night.. I'm always searching and seeing if there is updates... I've seen a lot get approved from 10/24 from the app.. I'm just wishing and praying for my time so frustrating...

Aww.  Trust me, we are all in the same situation. I'm beyond stressed. I keep daydreaming of how I'll react when I'm approved, if I am. I even daydream of how the interview will go. I hardly sleep at night. I basically LIVE on this website and the apps. I keep seeing people getting approved yet I'm still waiting. I get irritated when even the VJ timeline estimated time seems to change by a few days. I keep hoping its right. I made it my routine to check the apps and VJ before sleeping and after waking up. Trust me, I know how you feel. I don't get why it's taking so long and sometimes I feel given up but then I get strength again. So I post on here whether it's asking about approvals or updates or just venting my stress because I know people will understand and I don't know what else to do.
