around 9 weeks
Oh have you received an interview date yet? Congrats on that!
How long ago was this?
Sorry for all the questions
-
I've heard from 6 to 11 weeks. I'm starting my 8th week and no answer yet.

I got CC myself without writing None or N\A but I know someone got checklist who didn't send all pages .Normally last few pages people don't write anything but you have to send all pages
Yeah I sent them all. How long did it take for you to get CC?

Unless you made major mistake or forgot to send all pages of I-864( Including blank pages), you will be fine. Recent days lots of people are getting CC within 5-6 weeks
Yeah, one person I know left blanks and got CC. I guess unless there's a huge mistake, otherwise they should be smart enough to know blanks mean it doesn't apply. Ugh, here's to hoping.
I guess it also depends on how the officer's day is going, sadly enough. Hope I don't catch them on a bad day

I put NA in the blanks that didn’t apply to me like the interpreter part. Someone did get a checklist just recently for leaving those sections blank. Better off just putting NA just to be safe.
Well I left them blank since with USCIS, it didn't matter. Let's hope it goes well, Nothing I can do now :/

I submitted my I-864 last year and left all the following boxes blank --
- Middle name
- All boxes in Part 3 (which asks about other family members you're sponsoring; I was sponsoring only my spouse).
- All boxes in Sponsor's Physical Address (physical was the same as permanent address for me).
- Income sources from other people.
- The interpreter box.
I had no problems whatsoever and received a case complete within ~9 weeks. I think people have good intentions on this website regarding filling out every single box, because it's truly devastating to have to re-send something due to an "empty" box. However, I believe that one needs to just use good judgement. If a box clearly doesn't apply to you at all, I think it's okay to leave it blank. Good luck!
What time last year did you file it?
Yeah, I know some people from last year and even this year that got CC despite blanks but then reading here got me paranoid.
It means a lot that you answered

Anyone at NVC from this year get CC even though they've sent i864 with blanks?
What I mean is that, there's parts in the i864 that don't apply to me. For example, interpreter signature. I didn't have anyone interpret or arrange my i864 for me
so I left it blank. I figured it'd be okay to leave blank since with USCIS, I had left blank and got approval. A lot of people say I should have put "none or N/A"
but others tell me they got accepted just fine and got CC. Anyone of this year get CC even with blanks?
Also, how long did you guys wait until CC?
-
Everyone keeps posting about USCIS, I meant NVC. I checked the website and see nothing.
-
So the NVC will continue to work as long as they have funds, correct?

Yes.
Yes there's a government shutdown or yes it will affect CR1? or both?

Wait, there is a government shutdown in the US? I'm abroad so i have no idea. Is this going to affect CR1 applications at NVC?

Why would he send a form that's no longer valid?
Prime example of following the official instructions.
G325 was replaced by the I130a a while ago.
This is also reflected in the VJ guide
I didn't check If the I864 has changed, but i sent that as part of the NVC process in Sept and it appears others are still doing so.
I said he must check for updated forms on the website.

Very good. I wish you the best. If you have any questions, I will answer to the best of my knowledge

What kind of letter is that ?
It is just a letter you type. For example:
To Whom It May Concern,
(NVC)
I, ______________________, hereby state and declare that I intend to re-establish my domicile within the US. I have sent the following documents stating that _______________________. My plans once I am in the US with my spouse are _________________________________.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
(Name)
Once you type this you can attach the documents to it. For me, I attached my voter's registration information I attained online, my car insurance policy that I am still paying in the US which shows I own a car in the states and my current address matching the one in the petition.
That is all I had. Hence why I typed the letter as well

Yes it is true, Do you think I have to translate both.
Well you said you sent the one without stamps already to USCIS. So I imagine you translated that one already. I hope.
The other one, yes. Do translate

Just now, Ilio&DF said:
They are exactly the same no differences at all ( not difference on dates or signatures ) just the seals and stamps saying it was legalized to be used abroad. The reason of getting the second is for the delay it took to be legalized.
Yes, I understand that. I know how it works. However, the legalized one is more valid than the one without the legal stamps. However, since you filed using the previous one, once your interview comes up, I suggest taking both. The one without stamps to show it is the one you used and the one WITH in case it is needed.
-
Why not just take both of them?
I always feel that when in doubt between two things, take both.
-
I do not understand your priority date.
Did you mean October 10?

You need to send in the I-130 form, the g325, the i864 form. Send marriage certificate, pictures with details in back of them from you and your spouse. Send chatlogs, flight tickets, all you can to show your relationship is good.
Send your spouse's birth certificate with translation. Their passport copies. A copy of your birth certificate and your passport.
The fee.
You DO have to check if the forms are up to date. Some forms aren't even needed now. Check in the US government website. As for proof of marriage do send as many pictures as possible, chatlogs, witness affidavits if possible (from family or friends that have seen you two together and can say the marriage is in good faith, also signed by them, no need to be notarized) The more proof, the better. You can also write a letter of bonafide marriage telling a brief story of how you two met, how you married, how you kept in contact through distance.
All documents not in English MUST be accompanied with translation.
Make sure you add 2 passport sized photos oh spouse as well.
the i864 its not both of you. Only the one petitioning fills it out along with their 3 previous years income tax. You can add the pay stubs to help. Add w2 forms too. If you do not make over the poverty line, get a joint sponsor. Make sure to also add a letter of employment for whoever is the sponsor. (if its just you then get one from your employer, if its a joint sponsor, make sure they get one too)
If you do have a joint sponsor, add their biographical data of passport as well.
The fee also changed now so make sure how much it is now. (Mine was 420 last year, 2016)
You can pay the fee by western union, and send with all these documents.
Also, make sure to make a replica of all your paperwork so one packet you send to USCIS and one you can keep. If by some chance they lose a specific document, you will have it readily available.
The order of the packet is up to you. You can make a cover sheet with bullet points stating what you are sending and what order.
Good luck!

Oh so I could just send a copy of my license and my bank account statement to show that I am planning to return to USA.
Yes, I'd also add a letter of intent to re-establish domicile just to add on to the proof.

So for NVC a birth certificate AND marriage license is needed even tho they already have it from the first step the form I-130???
Please Follow the list I provided. That is what is needed. If you need clarification, do let me know.
Provide the marriage certificate.
NVC asks for documents even if you have submitted them to USCIS before.
-
How long have you been abroad? If it's been a few months, don't worry about that.
If a year or more, you can travel back to US and open a bank account or get your voters registration card. Or show you have a car there.
I didn't travel back to the states as I couldn't so all i sent was a letter of intent (which I type myself stating I plan on returning and living in the US, printed and signed ) I sent my car insurance policy which has my name, car information and my address. And I went online to see my voters registration information and printed that to show the address has remained the same for the past years and the same as on my application for US address.
-
Let me clarify. In NVC step, you do not need to provide proof of bonafide marriage. The proof they ask for is a way of asking what type of relation you have to the joint sponsor, IF you have one. IF not, ignore that step. Here is how I organized my packets
IV Packet:
NVC Bar Coded Cover Letter
Beneficiary's Biographical Data of Passport
Beneficiary's Birth Certificate with Translation
Marriage Certificate with Translation
Police Certificate with Translation
Military Record with Translation
AOS Packet:
NVC Bar Coded Cover Letter
My I-864 signed
My 2016 Tax Exemption Affidavit (This is only for those who live abroad and did not work/file taxes or those in US that did not file taxes. The Tax Exemption Affidavit is simply done by typing it yourself, printing it then signing it. Otherwise, ignore this step)
My joint sponsor's I864 along with 2016 Taxes and w2 Forms
Joint Sponsor's Pay Stubs (Not needed but helps)
Joint sponsor's Employment Letter (Not needed but helps)
Domicile Proof (ONLY for those living abroad with the non US citizen spouse. It is a letter stating intent to re-establish a domicile within US, otherwise ignore this step)
Proof of relationship to joint Sponsor (could be a picture and letter stating who it is and how you know them)
My biographical data of passport
My birth Certificate
Beneficiary is the non US citizen. Biographical data means just the first page of passport where the information is at.
NOTE: some countries do not require a military record. You can check in your country's government website or call your embassy.
If you have been exempt from Military Duty, send that document with translation.
Also, I made a replica of both packets. Which means one IV and AOS Packet I sent to NVC and the other IV and AOS Packet I kept for myself.
Once I organized my documents, I wrote my NVC Case Number on every page in case of misplacement.
Hope this helps!
One last thing I want to add is that 3 years of tax is not mandatory but it helps a lot more. You can send the most recent year if that is all you got.
I sent the previous 3 years. So 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Good luck!

Does any of you send your documents with courier service? And if so, do you make them sign for the documents so that you know that they have got them ?
They were sent by normal Post Office in the US, I had a tracking number and I know it was signed for. After that, I called and they said my SD is December 2.

but your CC was recent? If so then hopefully I can get CC too despite the blanks.
