I was wondering if you contacted anyone regarding about your wife case. I had my interview appointment on June 4,2017 and then I received a wavier reconsideration on May 29, 2018 and till now nothing. I don’t know what else to do. I was wondering if you know what I should do.

I know that plenty of people are being issued these months. All I can say is contact the embassy by email and let them know you've been in waiver reconsideration for a while now. Also check your DS-260 page to see if it's been re-opened. If it has, it's from the department of state. You have to reclose so you may continue with your case.

This is wonderful news. I would like to thank you for sharing with the forum this - I know multiple people on this forum from travel ban countries who disappear after they receive their visa without sharing any information, so I appreciate your candor here.

    Just a couple questions

    1) Was your wife in Julie's lawsuit's?

    2) After your wife's interview - did she get an approval notice or was she denied and put in AP rightaway?

    3) Did you guys have any exceptional medical conditions?

I think she is a part of her lawsuit. All I know is my case is with Julie. After her interview she was given an approval notice but was never given the visa. And no medical conditions. Inshallah it works out for all of you, and I'll keep you up to date if anything.

For a few of my family members, they got that waiver consideration email back in end of May/beginning of June and one of them (17 year old) was told to redo medical, dropped off his passport and already received his visa about 10 days ago and the other has redone the medical and waiting for them to tell her to drop off her passport.

The visas they’re giving out don’t expire fast like before so inshallah the kids get their visas soon so they can come in with the mother. Alhamdullah there’s hope for everyone because. I honestly thought that’s it, they’re not giving anyone anything. Sure it’s takes way longer but there’s hope at the end of the tunnel.

Yes, they ask for passports to print visas.

Your family members, when did they have their interview?

Does does anyone know what’s going on with Julie’s lawsuit?

We were told it applies to everyone who got an approval before the ban went into effect even if they didn’t apply with her or pay her for it. Anyone know if this is true?

Update on my family members in Djbouti:

Mom and son interviewed in November 2017 before the ban and got approval notices.

Son’s name was on the list released by the embassy to redo the medical. He did and got his visa approximately 10 days after.

Mother was told by the councilor to wait some more for hers, she will get it but it’s gonna take a little more time that her son’s visa did. It’s been 2 weeks, still nothing.

I also have a family who redid their medical but still haven't gotten their visas. It's been about 3 weeks for them. I also got an email today for different family members to redo their medical exam this month. What frustrates me is all my family members have been getting emails to redo their medical but my wife hasn't gotten anything yet.

I'd also like to ask if anyone has the court case number Julie filed. I wanna see if she included my wife in the case.

do you know what i know ..... more than half of the ppl here got their visa bur no one want to share the update .... they just share with us their negativity and frustrating ... thats what really i know

If top immigration lawyers don't even know what to do, what makes you think we know. Everyone here is just as frustrated as you are but are patiently waiting. If there is any updates that I come across, I'll gladly let you know.

They aren’t gonna be sent an email to redo their medical, the embassy calls them for that.

Did they get a waiver consideration email?

I don’t think there’s much they can do. They aren’t letting anyone get a medical unless your name is on the list that the embassy provides.

They haven't received any email yet. Plus I have a different family who was sent an email and called to redo their medical.

  7. US. Embassy in Djibouti updated their automatic reply for emails.

PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL, which is an automated message.

    Updated on 5 August, 2018
Thank you so much for your inquiry! If your inquiry is answered by the message below, you will not receive an individual response from U.S. Embassy Djibouti.
If you are contacting U.S. Embassy Djibouti about obtaining a WAIVER for Presidential Proclamation 9645 (PP 9645), please CAREFULLY read the following:
On May 1, 2018, Embassy Djibouti began to review the waiver eligibility of applicants whose visas were refused before May 1, 2018 to ensure all applicants had their waiver eligibility assessed consistent with our waiver criteria.  If your application was refused before May 1, 2018, there is nothing you need to do at this time.
For applicants whose visa applications were refused under PP 9645 after May 1, 2018 the refusal letter provided to you by the consular officer at the conclusion of your interview is still operative.  If the refusal letter indicated that a waiver will not be granted in your case, then that decision is final and the Embassy will not review your case further.  If the refusal letter indicated that a consular officer is reviewing your eligibility for a waiver, then the Embassy will notify you when its review is complete.
If we require additional information, we will contact you.
If we determine that you are eligible for a waiver, we will contact you.
Check your case status in the CEAC at https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx for the most up-to-date information available on your case.  During the entire duration of the waiver eligibility assessment, your CEAC will indicate that your visa application has been refused but it is undergoing necessary “administrative processing.”

Please do not request updates from Embassy Djibouti to inquire about the status of either your waiver eligibility assessment or administrative processing.  Given the volume of applications processed by Embassy Djibouti, requests for updates, to which we cannot provide a meaningful response, slow down our ability to complete waiver eligibility review for other applicants.

We cannot estimate how long the waiver review will take.  You do not need to remain in Djibouti while we review your waiver eligibility.  If there are any changes to your contact information, including your phone number or email address, please email consulardjibouti@state.gov<mailto:consulardjibouti@state.gov> with this information.  In the subject line, include your case number and write UPDATED CONTACT INFORMATION.

    Comment on Medical Examinations
Medical examinations are valid for six months.  In the event that a waiver is approved, and you need a new medical exam, we will contact you.  If you have already completed one, you will not be permitted to complete another until Embassy Djibouti notifies you that it needs a new medical exam on file.
We do understand your eagerness and greatly appreciate your patience.
    Sincerely,
    U.S. Embassy Djibouti

Any new updates since? I see there is a motion for contempt filed in the court case

    https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/case/24314855/Alharbi_et_al_v_Miller_et_al

Does anyone know what is going on here?

That motion was already finished when the New York federal judge ruled that the families of the case who were already approved but then denied must have their visas issued. 3 of my cousins were apart of that case. Julie along with maktab Marhaba are filing another case for other families including me. For more information, get in contact with them.

  9. Honestly Julie has always been all talk but gets the job done sometimes. She is also very expensive like h93 said. Only reason I went with her is because my father has given her allot of customers so she gave me a free ride. If the maktaba is half the price as Julie then take the offer, also you don't have much time so contact either one quick. All I can say is the only way we will get through this is by the court system. Inshallah Allah will reward us for our patience and hard work

  10. My cousins were part of Julie's case when the federal judge in New York stated that the families of her case have to be given visas since they were approved. They left for America 2 weeks ago. I contacted Julie and she said she would put me in her second case at the courts. Till now we haven't gotten any updates. Also maktab Mubarak sent out information about filing a case this week the same one as Julie did for anyone who had their cases approved before  dec 2017 but was denied. They said you can contact them for any information
