Sorry been gone for so long. Yes, I got an interview sept 17 but till this day my wife is still in admistrative processing. Also yes they will ask you questions of co-sponsor especially if he is an American. If you is a co-sponsor, I recommend it being a Yemeni or close relative. 

I did did get my daughter a U.S. passport. Praying my wife gets her visa before any travel restrictions occur.

Medical has to be done at least 2 weeks before interview. If you don't do it, they won't call your name during your interview day. It's been 2 weeks since my interview day and they still haven't given me a notice about another interview. Is anyone in the same predicament?

I arrived in djibouti Aug 21 and did the medical right away. The next we went for the interview but they didn't call our names. Now we're waiting for another interview to be scheduled. Medical has to be done 2 weeks prior to interview.

From what I heard Noone takes the medical packet but a letter from the clinic saying u had the exam. The packet is sent by the clinic to the embassy. Also I didn't have a choice by coming late because we couldn't find any earlier flights out of yemen. The airlines are packed since the ships are not going. I booked my flight 3 weeks in advance.

DS-5535 thx for the info. Right now my wife has an appointment on 22 of august and we're in the Sudan. Seems like we can't leave until Sunday because that's when Djibouti consulate in Sudan opens. Hopefully we'll have time to get medical on Monday and interview on Tuesday

Is it ok if my spouse has the medical exam 3 days before her interview? We're in Yemen now and we couldn't find any earlier flights. Her interview is aug 22.

anyone know how the birth abroad works? my wife's interview date is Aug 22 and we're taking our daughter. she will be 4 months then. 

they sent me an email yesterday. I also received an appointment for August 22. I heard all April cc received appointments. best of luck to everyone and thx for all sharing.

Me and u are in the same boat. We both got cc April 25. Hopefully both of us get interviews for august. I'll let u know from my side if anything

I called the nvc. not sure if they notified the people yet but u can give them a call and they will tell you if your case was sent to Djibouti for interview.

I just called today they said they're done scheduling for July. they also said they would start scheduling next week for August. hopefully that'll be our time

anyone with case complete in April. seems like forever to get an interview

that's a really long time. are u talking about the first stage with uscis. if yes then you should contact them. maybe they sent u an rfe.

My case complete was April 25. Seems like if feb and march are scheduled then April is next hopefully.

his kids weren't filed earlier but some U.S. embassys allow you to bring your kids along with you to your interview and start their cases there. The travel ban I'm talking about was the one Trump put of the 7 countries.

My uncle arrived from Djibouti on a cr1 visa on feb 7. Is it possible for him to bring his kids in on a cr2 visa from the same embassy or do they have to process from the beginning? One of his kids is 21 and the other 17 both unmarried. 

p.s. the reason he didn't file for them during his interview was because of the travel ban issue. Now he can't seem to get in contact with the Djibouti embassy

she's a lawyer that supposedly speeds up your case but sometimes that isn't true. I hear she has ties with the embassy
