Ah a Macgirl. lol My fiance is a Macboy and I tease him all the time. Well that is interesting as its not like you can't get adapters for the plugs if that is the issue. *scratches head*

I just booked a flight to go visit my fiance on September 3rd for a month!!! omg I am SOOO excited! Fingers crossed that we get our NOA2 in July as estimated and can hopefully book his appointment at the embassy for a time when I will be there. Our original plan was to wait until we had his interview booked for me to go visit so that way we could plan to fly together to the states, but we couldn't stand waiting any longer and I found a great deal on a flight.

Computers are often refused due to their delicate nature. Jostling in shipping often wrecks components in them. I build computers for fun so I know this. For my move we are travelling by car but I will be taking my computer apart and packing its internal components safely since I built it with some fairly expensive parts (I am a big gamer) and I would hate to have to repurchase something. When I moved up north I shipped my computer by bus but I actually stuffed the case with bubble wrap so that nothing would move and then stuffed the box the case was in completely.

You'll be fine, I'm sure! Let us know how it went out!
I kind of want to visit as well, but it doesn't make sense anymore now. We're too far in the process. That's actually good! haha
They don't want me, because I eat so much!!!!
Nah, kidding. My friends are spread out all over the country, and the 2 couples I like here, don't have a spare room. Otherwise they'd have adopted (and fed!!) me!
And today I found out I can't ship my computer. This is a real bummer.

Ugh yes no RFE's I hope for any of us. I miss my better half too although I do fly down in 24 days to stay with him for 9 days. Hopefully I make it across the border with no troubles since I fly out for cheaper from Devils Lake, ND. I have a packet with a letter from my boss, our NOA1 notice and I will only be packing my carry on bag and my purse. lol

Yeah you register for it and they email you who you are getting mail from that day. My fiance Chris is quite tickled. He has a disability from his diabetes and walking downhill isn't the best for him and their mailboxes in the apartment complex are all down this hill. He often drives down to pick up his mail. I told him I will make sure to go get the mail when we live together lol

At the moment yes their tracking system is down online. And of course they say nothing is wrong but that's how the government works. My fiance signed up for the new informed mail service in the states so he doesn't have to go down the hill to the mailbox everyday from his apartment unit. He says it works good as he got an email with the notice of two bills delivered yesterday. HA cept he did not want those.

You are lucky! I am looking at about 200 days from now.
I am going to cancel my apartment a month before leaving.

Haha, I'm a weirdo as well, and my 40+ hoodies have to come, as well as the stack of band shirts, haha!
I'm trying to keep it as small as possible. Hopefully less than 5 boxes, cause up to 20kg it's 77€ each, and I'm a poor office dragon!
I'm only shipping clothes and some personal items and memorabilia. And my iMac has to come, I guess.
All my household goods have to go!

I am not either but I live in Canada so everything I have will go down in his van when he comes to get me for poe crossing at the border. I have like maybe 6 boxes, two suitcases of clothes, one computer, my computer table, my antique dresser that my great grandpa made, and my kitty in her carrier. lol

Oh, that's a good idea! He'll only be here for 10 days and it seems like people have more trouble when they're looking to stay longer, so I've got my fingers crossed he'll have no trouble.
Congrats on that first box!!! The prospect of getting all moved in together is so exciting

Oh my!
I'm so sorry to hear about your current situation.... Feel a big hug from Germany!
It's so hard to loose an animal... I can relate so good. I've had cats all my life, and I had to put so many of them to sleep, or they just disappeared. My 2 cats are living with my mom, for a couple of years now, because I couldn't bring them to this place. It's so sad to know that after I left I won't see them alive again, because they're 13 already.
On top of that I'm dealing with flying my 2 Guinea Pigs to the states or not. The freight takes around 900$... my fiancé is willing to pay for that, because I can't afford it, but I can't decide what to do. I don't want to put that on him, since he already has my AOS coming, the car I will need, and more. Shelter is no option.. I might have found a very cool heavy metal family to take them, but still... they're my guys. Tobi was sick in February and I was hand feeding him for 2 months to save his life. Even if they're "just" Guineas... I love them.
I can't give you any advice on your relationship though. And I don't want to, because I think only you know what happened, and how your heart feels. Follow that.
I can only speak for myself... I spent a long time with someone, didn't listen to all the alarms in my heart and brain, and it was such a loss of lifetime and even more pain for me.
If your heart tells you there's hope - fight. If your "antennas" tell you it's not the right thing anymore - leave.
But give yourself time to figure it out. Like the others said, the visa processes "benefit" is the waiting time. And also it's a way bigger thing to decide than in a normal relationship, where you're just streets away. It brings a lot of consequences, so if you're not on 100% anymore....
Breath in, take time and make decisions after what YOU feel. Don't hurry, but don't wait to long. And know: You're not alone with your worries!
Jump and carry on!
Hugs!

Hey!
Just stopping by to say hi!
I'm from the March filers group and was lurking around here a little bit, to see if there's any progress!
Just saw you're German as well, going to Norfolk?
I'll be in Newport News, hopefully in fall!
Good luck for your journey, and congrats to your NOA2!
Bine
To all others: Congrats to your NOA2's and good luck for those who are still waiting! Hang in there!

Tickets are purchased for my flights to go see my fiance in Colorado from June 15th-25th. Both my bosses at both jobs are going to give me a letter stating I have to be back at work on such and such day. My sister also gives me a letter authorizing use of her car to go across the border for the duration of my trip since it will be parked at Devils Lake, ND airport for just over a week. Its her second car and I have been paying her monthly for the insurance so I can use it for work. Plus I will have my return ticket confirmation as well. I think I should have no problem crossing the border plus here at my small border crossing, 5 mins south by car, I know lots of the American border agents now so that will actually help plus they look at my address and since I live so close to the border they are used to us crossing a lot. The Canadian Border agents know me too. 2 of them live in the village I am living in. lol Often I cross back into Canada and either one will be like so visiting friends again and winks. How long did you stay this time? Did ya bring anything back? Nah ok your good go on. hahahaha Last time when I brought my fiance into Canada the one said hey she brought something with her and the other guy came over and said what she did and the first guy said yeah her boyfriend. HA jokers.
I am so looking forward to seeing him. I miss him so very much. I know this will rejuvenate me for the rest of the process.
Hope you all are doing well.

It is amazing how 4 days can can make a huge difference... my estimate was moved forward by 4 days!!! I don't know why, but this just makes me feel so much better!!! hehe
I've got another random question here... I have applied for a job that will take me away for a few months... mid June till sometime in August... I am fairly certain my NOA2 would come during this time, my questions is:
is there any thing or reason that would make me need to be at home and not away during this time? So, is there something vital that I might need to provide and wouldn't be able to if I was away? If there was something that would keep me, then I would not take this job.
Any help would be great! =)
Thanks!!

We had that with NOA1 already. My fiance had no alert by text or mail. We just found out when the hardcopy was in the mail.
I hope it will be better with NOA2, cause NOA1 by mail came really late, when I already was worried, they might have lost the letter.
YAY we're kind of half way through waiting!
Can't wait for May to be over!

I've been in the IT industry for many years and will make an educated guess that fixing the front-end case tracking tool is very low on the priority list. As long as the back-end is functioning and USCIS is working, I'm happy! We will just have to rely on our community here to get updated information.
On a more positive note, NOA2's are rolling in for early February filers as reported on their Visa Journey blog. That means we March filers are next in line! And with February being a short month (28 days), we may see some movement on early March filers in as little as three weeks. I've never been so happy it wasn't a leap year. 😀

My timeline also moved back a bit, by about 3 days which is awesome lol.
"June 29, 2017 and July 4, 2017*. "
I'm glad to see in the February filers page that some have already started receiving their approval. Soon it will OUR TURN!!
