I admire you for being patient! My fiance and I really wish I could go there before July ends, but my mother will celebrate her birthday on July 27 and she wants me to still be here then.  Of course, I'm gonna grant my momma's wish. 

My fiance lives in Paramount but he is going to move to Inglewood in July. You're right, we might actually become neighbors. Girl, I think I should add you on Facebook so I have a friend when I get there. Haha!

If by package, you mean the copy of your entire petition, well... Based on reports from those who have already been interviewed, nope. There are times when they don't even look at the package. They do get the required documents such as your police clearance, medical results, etc. 

But it's really up to the officer interviewing you. Some will want to check certain documents in your packet, so take it with you, still. Take as much ammo as you can! Hehe.

You can't because they require the photos to be identical. You can, however, submit a different set of photos on your interview from the set you provided at medical, or on the petition. They require recent photos, anyway. Just don't submit different photos at once. I hope this made sense. It's 4am and my English is not yet 100%.

Hi! I don't know if I am too late, but if you still need help, and if you want, I can send you our "Table of Contents". We got a NOA2, so I'm sure they were satisfied with the documents we provided. We did get an RFE, though, but it was unnecessary as they asked us to send passport photos we already sent them, meaning they lost our photos. If you need further help, we can chat so I can help you organize your documents. I can also send you samples of our cover letters and intent to marry.

He's a software developer. He is actually attending an academic program until mid-July; and will start looking for a job after that. What about you and your fiance? 

My fiance works at the airport and is studying to be an airplane mechanic. I'll ask him if he can help your fiance get a job there.  

Anyway, if he's currently not working, then are you going to get a sponsor?

We are actually not in a rush to go for the interview. My fiance who was born in the US but grew up in Canada just relocated to the LA and is still looking for a job.

What kind of job is your fiance looking for? My fiance lives in LA, too, and I think his company is hiring people atm.

Exactly. I keep telling myself that but I'm still so worried and I regret the stupid things I did when I was a teenager. Ugh. Haha I need some z's. 

I'm going to my medical next week, and I have been having trouble sleeping. Hopefully, my GP's letter will be enough for them to believe that I stopped cutting myself after high school and that I am not at all a threat to myself and others. I don't know why I am more worried about this than the x-ray, to be honest. xD Wish me luck!

You still have a few days before your interview, so I highly suggest you go to the PSA office to get a new copy of your CENOMAR. Some officers are strict and don't accept a CENOMAR that is more than a month old. A VJ member was asked to get a more recent copy during her interview even though the one she tried to submit was less than 2 months old. So yeah, I wouldn't risk taking a CENOMAR that I got in April if I were you. If you really can't, though, then let's just cross our fingers and hope for the best!

Yes, this happened to someone I know, too. Better safe than sorry, right?

Just scheduled my interview for the 20th of July at 7:10 am. Very early but that's the latest available time on all the remaining July slots.  Oh well, at least it's not at 6:40 am.  

Excited and nervous! 

Oh, and to my fellow Filipinos, if you're curious about the earliest available slot(s), I am pleased to say that there are some around the 3rd and last week of June. The earliest I found is on June 20. Good luck!

Wow, you've been waiting a long time. Have you called USCIS? I believe your case should now be prioritized if you call, since it's been more than half a year already.

Absolutely! I was surprised at how fast our case reached Manila. Everything is happening so quickly now. After you get your case number, wait for Ready status and then you can pay for the interview and schedule it online. It only took a few days for our case to be in Ready status (from when we got our case number), so you probably won't have to wait long, too.  And remember, you must pay first because you will need to input the receipt number when you schedule it online.

Hi! We waited 2 weeks from NOA2 date to get our case number. From then, it only took a few days for our case to reach Manila.  The dates are listed on my signature below. Good luck, dear!

Hmmm, I wish I had the answers but I don't. One thing I noticed though is that a lot of the members here whose cases are going to the US embassy in Canada waited a long time in the NVC stage. I haven't heard anyone from my country, the Philippines, say they had to wait a long time, though. Maybe this is a country thing. I am not sure. Just an observation. :/ I hope they give you your case number before the week ends! We are worriers but we gotta be warriors, so hang in there. Soon, we will be with our loves.

We got our case number on Friday (but NVC received it Monday last week), case status IN TRANSIT yesterday, and READY today.

Damn. Everything does happen super fast after NOA2. Too bad I can't go to medical until around the second week of July. I am dying to know what the doctor will say about my scars. :/ Ugh.

If it isn't too noticeable, maybe they won't make him go to psych eval. There isn't much info about it, though, that's why I have been so stressed. I tried searching for threads online but only found a few, and they aren't very helpful.

All I know is that the doctor will check your wrists for marks (heroine)/scars (cuts). If you have them, you get sent to psych eval. I have read someone say that she wasn't scheduled for pysch eval, but this woman only has one very light scar. So yeah, I guess it's up to the doctor. I should be more worried than you since I have about 10 VERY visible cuts on my wrists, and I have my nickname "carved" on my hand as well.  I will let you know what happens, though, since I will be doing the medical soon. Wish me luck!

But yeah, the best thing to do is to just tell the truth and not say things that will make them think you're unstable, I guess. I can't wait to get this over with! Haha

I think lady luck decided to give us a break since we got an RFE for something we already sent, plus, my interview will be delayed because I am 100% sure going to be sent for psych eval due to the scars on my arms.

I know you feel crushed but hopefully, next week will be your week! Hope @PR&PR gets their case number, too. Damn, these reps need some training! Idk why they say different things. @_@

That's odd that they received your case on May 31 and they haven't assigned a case number yet. My Fiance called today and got our case number. Ours was received on June 6. USCIS and NVC really need to get their bleep together...
