Sad, isn't it? And smart move on your side to wait for the card. I did not even apply for AP as I knew it would not be useful to us. My gut feeling is that this guy will try to halt family based adjustment as well. We will see if it will come to pass.

Hello folks, our AOS interview was yesterday June 21st at San Bernardino field office, it was scheduled for 8.55am but we got started by 9.38am. it was very interactive, the adjudicating officer was a black cheerful man in his 50s. He started by the sworn statement, asked of our IDs, where and how we met, where we live, size of the house, days our trash is being taken, our phone numbers, wedding ceremony, how long we dated, who attended our marriage, then the yes/no questions. Then he checked our documents and support documents and the originals comparing them with the copies, got to my birth certificate he said the were wearing out cos of aging, that he has to send to his supervisor which he excused himself and came back after two minutes without it(birth certificate). Then continue to ask questions about our families, how many siblings we have, our parents, then asked if I still belonged to the professional bodies I listed in my i-485 and if I've started working or have worked in the US since I arrived, I told him no that most of all I will have to take my professional exams (medical field) before I could work. We started talking about his allergies and was buzzed by his supervisor. He went out, came back and then printed some papers and said he have to go back to his supervisor to sign us out. He came back and gave us a paper and said we will have to re-order another of my birth certificate asap but we will get a mail of the instructions in the mail. So I have ordered another birth certificate from my home country today hopefully it will be here next week as next Monday and Tuesday is a national holiday (Ed-el fitr for our Muslim brothers and sisters). So we are waiting for the mail to come as well as my birth certificate to arrive so as to send it out asap. Fingers crossed. Have some couple of interviews (job) lined up from tomorrow.

Congratulations guys on all that have gotten good updates on their status and good luck to those still waiting. We shall all get to the promised Land. Cheers!!!

My husband and I had our interview this morning and we were approved on the spot!!! What a relief.

Our interview was at the Chicago, IL field office. We had a very serious but sometimes sarcastic/funny officer. He swore us in and began asking basic information about us. He asked my husband for his full name and date of birth (USC), place of birth, etc. Asked for my birth certificate and wanted to verify our current address. Then he asked about the names of my parents and where they live. He wanted to know if I had any relatives in the States and if I finished my studies, when was the last time that I entered the US. He asked if my family came to our wedding at which time I showed him our wedding album and he seemed to enjoy that we had an actual reception. He asked my husband when/how we met, when was the first time we met in person, when he proposed, and when we started talking about marriage. Then he wanted to know who our joint sponsor was and what he did. Asked about my husband's job and then mine. He said that we submitted a lot of family photos and just asked about my husband's big family (if you can get photos at family functions, please do! It'll help.) Then I had to answer all the yes or no questions.

He didn't ask anything about 2016 tax return. He didn't ask for any documents to prove our bonafide marriage, not even bank accounts. But I think it helps that we lived together for two years before getting married (adjusting from a student visa).

He told us his job is to evaluate a case to see whether or not there is immigration fraud and that he believed our marriage is real and that he'd approve us today (card in production now) or tomorrow.

He told me that in two years I need to remove conditions and that it shouldn't require another interview because he isn't/has no reason to flag our case. Then told me that in three years I can become a US citizen. And that was it!

Good luck everyone! Hang in there.

I am very happy to say that the EAD/AP card is finally here in hand!!!! It has been a long journey but I'm so thankful to this site and thankful for all the positive people that have been motivating and encouraging from start to finish. It's amazing the progress that happened starting with the K1 and now EAD, in a time of a little over 1 year. Best of luck to everyone who is still waiting. Love wins. God Bless!

Hi everyone, after months of waiting, the status for EAD application finally changed! I thank everyone who's helped me through and comforted me when I was at my lowest. I know this is only just half of the battle but atleast I'm getting somewhere  I can finally work and keep myself busy and helpful altogether.

To those who have not received their ead's or not have any positive developments as of yet, I know waiting can be discouraging and awfully frustrating. It's really difficult for me to say that you just cheer up and keep your head high because doing that has been very difficult for me. I was always on the verge of breaking down until my status change.   Just remember it will come, and when it comes it will be fulfilling and that moment will be priceless. Also, you can try to email your congressmen and senators to ask for assistance. You can also send service requests as often and as much as you can. That's what I did, I don't know if that's what brought me here, but it wont hurt to try

I don't mean to be insensitive to those still waiting but I think it's important to update.  I received a combo card, EAD/AP today with a validity of 1 year.  I truly hope DMV will finally be able to issue me with a driver's license.  My prayers are with all those still waiting.

Combo card arrived today! Unfortunately we are choosing to wait until we have his green card before leaving the country, as AP can be revoked at any time, and Iran is part of Trump's travel ban, which he continues to try to implement.

    Finally...

My wife and daughter's employment card are being produced.  No change on status for the AP application yet, but I suspect it won't change based on what I'm reading in this forum, but they should be receiving a combo card.  Waited 6 weeks for check to be cashed after submitting Adjustment of Status packet.  Then a few weeks later, got a RFIE.  Then 2 weeks ago, got RFE.  Submitted a service request yesterday and just 15 min ago, I received this notification.  For all of you still waiting, I know it's hard, but you will need patience in this journey.  Wishing you all the best of luck.  I know I'm still not out of the woods yet since I'm still waiting for their Adjustment of Status to be approved, but it's a start and at least my wife can work now.

    Hi everyone,

Just a heads-up about my myUSPS Informed Delivery experience (pun intended). My card was approved on June 6th and  marked as "Mailed" on June 9th (Friday). MyUSPS did not show any tracking numbers through the weekend. I called USCIS on Monday asking for that tracking number after speaking to Tier 2 (75 minute callback wait time at 8 AM PST) and was told there is none since it was not mailed yet; I should give it a couple of more days until it gets mailed.

On Tuesday  (June 13th) while checking the mail, low and behold - a USPS priority mail envelope with my EAD in it, and still nothing in the myUSPS dashboard. Now, since we know it's a 2 business day delivery slot I highly doubt it was mailed sometime Monday and delivered by Tuesday noon, so I guess it was submitted on Friday and interestingly enough USCIS did not have up to date information about the delivery when I called. I may be wrong though, but just food for thought.

Moral of the story - your mileage may vary. Good luck everyone waiting, and congratulations to those whose cases got approved.
