Yes, I got CC in less than two weeks and that was with a checklist (a mistake by NVC). I've seen others lately get CC in just a few days.

I'm arriving in the US in two days. So glad for it all to be finally over. Looking forward to seeing my fancy green card soon. 

I'm headed to Austin. I can just imagine your paranoia. Totally sucks what happened to you. 
 
Yes, I got a letter from the consulate to say they'd received my file. It came a few days after your interview was cancelled so when I first saw the email I instantly thought the worst. I can't recall how long it took for it to say 'ready' but around the time I received the email from the consulate. If your status has changed to at least in transit you should be fine. That's the first status change once your interview is booked. 
 
And the the consulate will ask you to email them to reconfirm your interview. It's all in the email they send. 

Visa approved!! In and out of the consulate in about an hour. I never want to go through that again. So relieved it's all over 

I'm pretty sure that would open a can of worms for people using unreliable doctors and potentially having someone else do the tests for them if they didn't want something to show up.  There is a list on each countries pre-interview checklist who you can use.  It has to be them, they have all the necessary paperwork and can send the results directly to the Consulate.  I chose to collect mine, didn't want to take the chance of it going missing.

You have to go by the official website which is not VJ.  The number of people who post on here is a tiny percentage compared to the actual number of applications that get sent in.  If you want to enquire about your case they only accept the timeline on the official website so the VJ timelines are really redundant.  Yes, they may give you a small indication of when you're case might be approved but it's not completely accurate.

You should call the NVC to ask. If going by past months, you could expect to find out at the end of this month when your interview is. They often don't email you the letter until a week or so after it's been booked so most of us call every few days to check.

Tell me about it! Having a battle with the NVC over a supposed checklist that 3 people have said is false. Every time I call, I have to have this battle explaining it's not a checklist, it was a system error and our emails haven't been reviewed yet so they don't actually know if they've received all the docs. They really need to make notes for each phone call so there is some consistency. 

Just a note on EP, I was looking at the NVC website a few minutes ago and they seemed to have changed the way that some countries now submit their documents. If you are from BNS  FRN  HNK   MTL  RDJ  SYD you now upload your documents through the CEAC website.
 
The other eligible consulates email as normal.  Perhaps this is why the website was down earlier, as they were adding this facility.
 

We emailed ours on Monday over two emails. The total attachments were too large to send in one. We just put in the subject, email 1 of 2 and 2 of 2. 

I've just logged in again and the DS 260 form is now available. It must be some weird thing! 

If you are booked with a legal connection then you should be fine.  As someone else has mentioned, it is up to the airline to reaccommodate you.  It doesn't mean the next flight, it's the next available.  If you are concerned I would consider trying to just do a simple date change to your flight to one an hour or so later -  if it's not too expensive.

One thing you should keep in mind is that with Germany you can electronically file to the Frankfurt consulate so that seems to speed the NVC process up considerably.  Most seem to be approved within a couple of weeks so your process could go a lot faster than those who manually file their documents to the NVC and are now stuck waiting a minimum of 11 weeks.

As much as it sucks we have to be away from our loved ones for longer than expected, I feel like there is a lot more certainty with the NVC time frame. The I-130 was like a lottery system and you were lucky they pulled yours out of the hat. Fingers crossed NVC will get back on track soon and the wait time will decrease. Hang in there. 

For those that have emailed their docs already, did you attach your own cover letter or just write in the body of the email what is attached. I do t want to send more than what's completely necessary as I feel it will slow things down a little. Also on your attachments did you write the case # and name on each document like those who manually file have been recommended to do?

I'm sure it does make a difference who you get, a bit like what SC you get too!  My wife is a lawyer and is used to speaking to judges and was very calm and not rude at all to the person she spoke to.  Same with the original person she got who was also very aggressive and hostile.  I think they just don't like it when you call them up on things and they don't have an answer for you.  Like when she was told our petition was sent to Nebraska for 'thorough processing' and she asked what that meant since there was nothing like criminal records in our file.  He didn't have an answer and got more defensive.  Just be honest and say you aren't up to it yet! How hard is that?  The only thing we could think of is they might take longer because it's a same sex petition but from the looks of it there are barely any September petitions that have been approved so probably not.  Except the Pilipino ones who seem to get processed within a couple of months (not sure what that is but anyway).  

Authorize letter? Authorisation for what? Can you explain a bit and this letter was from congressman or USCIS?
