Hi,you don’t have to pay again. You just need a copy of receipt I485 with your 1765 application also picture

You can file the I-765 up to 120 days prior to expiration. Upon successful filing, the exisitng EAD is extended for 180 days as well (meaning extirpation date + 180 days, not filing dates + 180 days). No fee. Include a copy f the I-485's NOA1 in lieu of payment. You should also consider obtaining/renewing your AP (I-131) as well.

Not sure if I've told you this, but the consulate schedules your interview for you, it isn't like some of the other embassy's and consulates around the world that you make a booking online.

For anyone who cares: I took the LTC class and am just waiting on my Green Card and SSN to file it Eithne DPS. The class certificate is valid for 2 years so no problems there.

Oh yeah! I get a chance to do it with people I know in this class so that makes me so much more comfortable doing it. And then I’ll just sit on the class certificate and once I’ve got my green card, I’ll file it and get my CHL card and all that.
We definitely aren’t as strict when it comes to guns. People own them, but there are laws around how to store them in the home and you do have to have a license to own one minus a few exceptions etc. However, we also have more gun related crime and accidents compared to Australia so it’s kinda like “well are they entirely wrong or do they have a point in how they handle guns etc”.
I personally have no issue with them, and my husband and his brother and dad all have them, I’ve shot their guns before and my husband and his dad have their CHL’s and conceal carry frequently. I want mine just as that added protection aspect and all that.
My uncle has his gun license back home and it’s a very stringent process to get one.

The amount of guns my my husband and his family has is enough to arm a small force so I never really had the chance to be all “anti gun”
haha. However his mother is very anti them and has never shot one in her life. I did it my very first trip to Texas 😂😂

I ended up having to contact the consulate myself to follow up where my passport was and it ended up being that B had gone on holiday for a week and no one else at the consulate had forward the passport back to me.
Consdering contacting them just to follow up, you can email the same email address that was used to send you the original interview date and time from the Consulate.

Not sure if you've been for your interview yet but if not, the Auckland Consulate is really easy going. Small bank-teller like windows but you don't really focus on other people because you'll be talking with your interviewing officer at window 5 and at that point, that's all you find yourself focusing on.

    Good luck!
