Any one who as the ROC process at the California center (WAC) and got their biometrics waived/appointment scheduled? I'm a July filler and noticed that WAC is going really slow on the biometrics but all the other centers are going so much faster.

I filed in January (WAC) and my case “was updated to show fingerprints were taken” today!

  2. Hi guys. I received my NOA1 for my AOS, EAD & AP today. The EAD & AP were addressed to me in my married name, but the AOS was addressed to me in my maiden name. I called USCIS, and the woman seemed a bit confused and put me on hold for a few minutes. She then told me to go to the social security office to legally change my name (I haven't done this yet), then contact them again.

Did this happen to anyone else? I'm just a bit confused, because the EAD & AP noa1 was in my married name.

  3. Just wanted to let you guys know that I was able to get a unsecured credit card with Bank of America (the cash back one) with a limit of $900!

I first applied for a Capital One unsecured card since I “pre-qualified” for it, but I got rejected after I applied! Then I applied for the secured Capital One card and got rejected as well. (Weird!) So my husband and I decided to go into Bank of America today to talk about my options for building credit. The manager suggested applying for a unsecured credit card first, which I was luckily approved for!

    Some things to consider:

my husband added me as an authorized user to two of his credit cards the moment we received my SSN, which was early September. Some say that this does not affect your credit score whatsoever, but when I checked my credit score on Transunion and Equifax, it was in the mid 700s.

Hope this helps some of you.

Oh great! You didn't have to call before?

Your NOA2 date is 8 days earlier than ours... so maybe we'll get it next week, too!
(In case they KIND OF work in incoming order.... O.o )

I started calling NVC everyday since July 6, and everyone I talked to told me to wait anywhere from 3-6 weeks for them to process the visa. However, this morning my fiance woke up to an email from them with our case number.

Also, I just wanted to give you guys a tip with calling. One of the guys I spoke to told me that they upgraded their system, but not all of them are trained to use this new system. He told me to press #5 instead of #2, since the people on the #5 were all trained to use it. AND IT IS SO MUCH FASTER! I waited on the phone for 45 minutes to an hour when I pressed #2, and the longest I waited on the #5 option was 10 minutes. Hope this helps!
