Thanks @CubaAndChill and @AkesAngel for trying to get the March scans sorted!
Just curious - anyone else in our little group here working in the health care field or having professional licensing issues once they finally make it to the US? I'm an Australian Physiotherapist and the process for getting licensed in America is pretty intense!
Also, just for fun I was wondering if anyone could beat the distance between me and my fiancee. We're living 12 hour time difference and 11,136 miles apart.
Good luck getting your license once you're here. I'm a registered nurse living in the US and every state has it's own requirements. Thankfully, I've never moved from Missouri. We certainly need you in the states!
My fiancé lives in Norway,......time difference is 7 hours and I hate it! I can't imagine 12! We are 6,500 miles apart.....soon we'll all be with our loved ones!!!! Life is beautiful! I try to embrace every day as if it's my last! Some days is hard missing my love, lol.......have a great day!!!

I feel you!
I wasn't sure what to wear, since we're still not sure where to get married.
Either/likely it will be the High Roller (biggest Giant wheel in the world) in Las Vegas, or a beach one in Virginia Beach, or just a courthouse one in Virginia Beach.
So I went browsing through stores with my friend the other day, just looking. I wanted to try on something, because a) I never wore a dress in my life and b) I'm a "blackskirt"... my only "bright" clothes are jeans or sometimes grey. So I was curious if I even want a dress. Plus I'm tall, so usually all clothes are too short.
After the entire afternoon just looking we ended up in some prom dress store.... I found a white dress, tried on, my friend cried 3 times - bought!
And this will work for either one of our possible wedding places and it's feather light, so no problem with luggage!
YAY, first dress of my life will be the wedding one!Oh, that is too cool!! Your first dress is your wedding dress!! Good for you!! I bet you'll be a beautiful bride!!
We're planning to marry here in Kansas City, hopefully in September, then maybe go to New York for a few days. My fiancé lived in the states for several years mostly on the east coast. He wants to show me Manhattan, I think. I have never been. I really don't care where we go as long as we're together, right! I last visited him in Norway from 11/29 thru 01/31.......now just waiting like all of our other friends here!!!

I love the community we have all formed here. I came to Visajourney because my friend Dee and her husband Adam used it gosh 10 years ago now when they were going for the K3. She reminded me of it and said it will help keep you sane during the whole process. You will make friends that last a lifetime. She has met some VJers over the years. I look forward to chatting with you all so much. This thread and many others on VJ make the process so much easier to deal with because any question you are thinking of you can usually find the answer and if not just ask and someone will answer. What a wonderful online community VJ is and a great source of inspiration and love for us all to get us through this time of trial as we wait to be with our loved one.
Ha Love is something we definitely need more of. I am one of those girls that never dreamed of getting married. I was kinda a tomboy but girly in so many ways too. Last night when my fiance and I were talking about the eventual Wedding which will just be a small civil ceremony because its his second marriage and I don't want anything elaborate because its not me. I was fretting because I really didn't want a wedding dress. He said "Love you wear what you want to wear because the only thing that matters is that you and I are there and that we will be joined in marriage." Of course that made me bawl and I finally decided that a pretty summer dress I already own will work for getting married and hey its blue. lol I felt a lot better after we had that chat.
Awwww.........his comment made me bawl!!! I'm torn between dresses for our wedding as well......so many decisions and so much waiting time! It's nice to have friends on this site for encouragement and support.......we're all in this together!!!

Cool! I did go to Kansas City for a 3-day event under the program before moving on to our base in Springfield. What a great college time memory
How did you like Norway? Those 9 weeks with your fiance must be real awesome!
That's cool that you've been to KC!!! We had a blast! (This was my second trip....I went over Christmas 2015 as well.) We did a lot of travelling this time....Denmark and Sweden a few times....flew to Lithuania for a few days.....Norway is beautiful! Hope you can visit there one day with your spouse!!!!

If all goes well and CSC is not backlogged, then your wish to be married in September might just come true
Thank you for keeping all of us company too.
Are you far from Springfield? I spent 3 months there for an exchange-internship program a long time ago!
I am on the north end of Kansas City! I think about 3 hours from Springfield.

I remember when we just submitted our petition first thing in the month and it felt like it's a long way to go. Now March is coming to an end and April is coming. After that it's May and estimated adjudication in June for us March filers. Just thinking about that gets me all excited!!!
So your fiancé is currently not in Norway or are you there visiting him?
I want to visit my fiancé and his family but I'm quite afraid that I'd not be granted an entry so we'll just put the money towards my airtickets when my K-1 is approved (hopefully!).
My fiancé is Swedish and lives in Norway. I visited there for 9 weeks over the holidays. I am back in Missouri now......so sad....He will not try to visit here until he gets his visa. Hopefully we can be married in September!! Nice to have support from this group as we are all playing the waiting game......Thank you!

Fiance (petitioner) and I started this process exactly a year ago. We had our interview on the 23 of Feb. We were approved but I stupidly forgot my original birth certificate at home, so I had to run to the embassy to drop it off.
The consul said we were approved and congratulations.
I had overstayed in 2012, less than a year, so I received a ban of three years. Consul said they would have to update that information in their systems so I wouldn't have any trouble at the POE. At that moment I knew I was approved.
Fiance and I have two kids together, I think that helped. Both of them were born in Argentina and have US citizenship.
This past year has been excruciating. But we did it.
I had my medical in December so I'm assuming I have left 4 months to leave. My passport hasn't arrived yet, not sure if I have to go pick it up, but I will see about that next week when the payment to DHL hits.
I can't wait to go back home. I hope my apartment here sells very soon. Lol. Trying to be positive. I'm relieved, really.
Congratulations!
